Property Ratings at Northfield Commons Apartments
Wonderful apartments and great staff to match! The staff is incredibly generous and helpful and the community overall is very positive. Great family friendly environment!
Avoid this place at all cost and stay away from MMC properties. This is a terrible location with even worse management and staff. I rented 4 homes/apartments while being in Murfreesboro, this one being my last, and all of them were pleasant besides this one. They rushed me into an unfinished and under maintained apartment just to pin it all on me at the end. They were clearly having management issues as a month in there was a new property manager. Every time I went to pay rent they had to ask me how much i was paying because they don’t record or keep anything on file. I reported bugs in my sink on move in day coming from the water pipes and my instructions from the property manager was to just pour bleach down it and it will be fine. I put this on my checklist and still no attention to it. Nobody was ever in the office during times they said they were open. Throughout living there, i started to see increase in my water bill and called the manager for assistance. She sent the maintenance guys over and they spent all of 5 mins looking at the water heater and walked out. To much surprise, there was still something wrong. I called back and the same process was repeated 3-4 times with no solution. All they were doing was coming in and hitting the reset button on my water heater and saying it was fixed. Also megan the property manager said there was no report on file saying I needed maintenance, they are full of it. By this time i was getting ready to move out so i left it alone after calling the water company and them saying the apartment should take care of that. I was always very polite. Talked to the staff in the office every time i came in and did everything I needed to do while paying to live there. This place was in no way shape or form in great condition when I moved in and that was noted on the move in day walk through sheet. When it came time to move out, I had my girlfriend who has worked for several cleaning companies help me “clean out” the townhome. Vacuum lines were in the carpet. Appliances shiny where they could be as they were very old. And countertops had a shine to them as well. One small bag was left that must have slipped my vision and some dings and knocks from living there for 2 years of my college life. Again I had rented 3 other places 3 other companies and had my deposit returned to me every-time with arguably worse scenarios done to the apartment.
Overall excellent place to live. Friendly staff, peaceful neighborhood. I have never had any problems here and staff is very friendly when it comes to answering questions. Love the events the property has, nice pool area and property is always clean. Apartment was newly renovated when I moved and I haven't had any problems! Easy to get in touch with maintenance when I did have an issue and they came right away! Very affordable and a nice area. I highly recommend Northfield Commons, Megan is amazing!
Northfield Commons are very nice apartment homes. We moved here from owning a home for 20 years and we were worried about living in an apartment after all of those years. But we have been very satisfied with our choice. It's a family friendly community with a nice pool and playground. We never have a problem with parking or neighbors. And the management takes excellent care of the grounds and maintenance. Northfield is also close to shopping and schools. I would recommend Northfield Commons to my friends and family.
Beautiful apartments, helpful management, walking distance to campus, lots of parking and fun things to do! Peaceful and fun!
