Consistently ranking as one of the best places to live in the country, Murfreesboro is growing fast – and for good reason! Settled in 1811, this city was named for a Revolutionary War hero, and it’s held its historic roots ever since. Residents can explore the city’s local history at a variety of museums, including the Oaklands Historic Museum, the Bradley Academy Museum, and the Stones River National Battlefield. Murfreesboro is also home to Middle Tennessee’s only Museum of Natural History.
For those who enjoy cultural events and entertainment, the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts hosts concerts, live theater performances, and more. Enjoy the local events around the city, such as the Main Street Music Jazzfest and the International Folk Fest! Murfreesboro’s local university, Middle Tennessee State University, is growing just as quickly as the city itself. This top-notch institution is known for its programs in aerospace and music, and adds to the artistic charm of Murfreesboro.

Property Ratings at Northfield Lodge
The property manager needs training on her job. I don’t understand how they just let anyone become a property manager nowadays. Please live somewhere else.
My wife and I fell in love with these apartments on viewing them. This place is absolutely perfect as far as apartments go. Honestly, it there are any complaints it should only be about things you would commonly face in apartment living. The property manager, Megan, is super kind and far more than accommodating. There are some amazing people in here and my wife and I have made some really great friends in the short time we’ve been here. It’s an apartment at the end of the day. There are going to be things that don’t meet the same standards as owning a house. If you can’t live with that, then get a house. But if you’re in the market for a GREAT environment to live in where everyone treats you like family... come to The Lodges.
You get what you pay for! I thought it would be a good idea to live here to save some money because it’s on the cheaper side of rent in this area. I wish I would’ve saved myself the hassle and paid more to live somewhere else. A big problem is you can hear your neighbors walking because the floors on the stairs and upper levels are VERY squeaky. As of 05/29/2020 three machines in the laundry site are out of service (frequent occurrence), the A/C isn’t working (yay 80° and 90° weather) and the card machine to pay doesn’t work (very frequent occurrence). There is a bug problem in a lot of the buildings. The manager is rude but they usually change every year. All in all I wouldn’t recommend living here. I’m looking forward to my lease ending!
Property Manager at Northfield Lodge, Responded To This Review
Amanda, thank you for the recent review. Our management is known for great service. We offer onsite maintenance, pest control and laundry facility in addition to other services. Our laundry facility has a card reader on each washer/dryer while still offering the coin option. If there is ever an issue that you have, we encourage you to come into the office to speak to us about them including any possible pest or maintenance issue. Please contact us at the leasing office so we can confirm your residency. We value our residents’ opinions and would like to speak with you. 615-890-6377 Thanks
So you can't leave dirty dishes for 1 day because your apartment becomes infested with ants. There was a major bug (spider) problem, and people were stealing our laundry at the laundry mat that the apartment complex owns. I did like that there was a lot of grass area for our dog though.
Our apartment complex is nothing but the best. Our neighbors are friendly, the management is always right on things, and it's such a quiet and affordable environment. I would recommend this area to anyone. Its cozy and you'll feel right at home.
Northfield Lodge Apartments are honestly the best value I have found as a college student. They are centrally located, with MTSU five minutes down the road one way, and a shopping complex with gas, Walmart, and diners three miles down the other way. Management has always addressed any issue I had within 12 hours (even on the weekends). However, I gave them only four stars because they are old (1970s) so some of the windows break, some screens are gone, and the stairs are not very nicely carpeted. But there is a 24 hr gym that has plenty of equipment, and a really nice pool. The area is very quiet and chill too. The surrounding area has newer, nicer apartments, and super nice homes, so it is very safe here too.
It's pretty cool. I like it because the neighborhood is quiet. The only thing thAt sucks it that it doesn't have washer and dryer connections in the 2 bedrooms and no central A/C but other than that management is cool and very nice.
