Northgate Apartments

It's been about a month since we moved to Northgate apartments. We had visited several apartment places in the area before signing up for the lease. But finally decided Northgate due to cleanliness, reasonability of the rent and approach to our school. The apartment is very neat and clean and so for we have No problems, concerns, or issues of any type. I want to thank the entire staff at Northgate including the manager of the property for their professionalism and kindness. They made the move hassle-free and were very welcoming. We are very impressed with how the staff conduct their business. The staff has a great service-oriented attitude each time you have to visit the office. I hope we have a wonderful year here at Northgate Apartments.

In town for the Christmas Holiday visiting my family who live at the Northgate. I’m always impressed how the management team takes care of the property. Community grounds are clean, buildings are well kept, neighbors are respectful. I love seeing the Christmas decorative patios throughout the property at this time of year. Thank you for making my Titi Ludy happy to call Northgate home. Have a wonderful Christmas Northgate ??

I came by to discuss potential options leasing at Northgate Apartments. The office was very friendly upon arrival and extremely helpful guiding and discussing the option’s. I appreciate the time and knowledge provided which is hard to come by nowadays.

My experience since moving in have been nothing, but positive. The staff in its in entirety have been kind and prompt. The management team have been incredible in my transitioning to my new place. Definitely would recommend

I have been here for 3.5 years and it has been the best experience ever. From the staff to the amenities this is the place to be. Central location with access to everything. I highly recommend to any one in search of an amazing community to live in. They are military friendly and will work with you ???????? check them out you won’t be disappointed.

My boyfriend & I just recently moved here after breaking our lease at our previous place. We were looking for a nice place with staff that was respectful & helpful & this place was perfect. Every single one of the ladies in the office made the move in process super easy. Anna helped us out the most, but I was able to talk to the other two ladies, Angelina & Jenny, & they were wonderful. They accommodated us very well. We had some small quick fixes that needed to be done when we first moved in & the maintenance guy came fairly quickly & fixed everything. He did a wonderful job. He was very respectful & held a conversation the whole time he was here. Super friendly. Me, my boyfriend & son have LOVED this place so far. I recommend this place to everyone!

Ive been living at northgate for a while,the staff ii the front office headed by jennie are very sufficient in what they do the maintenance crew also responds quickly i highly recommend northgates as a place you can call home

THIS review is 3 weeks Over due ! I'm fairly new to the mid west and Needed Somewhere to call Home. I looked into several apartment and houses NOTHING felt " like HOME ". I restarted my search online and Stumbled across a Hidden jewel nestled off of New York Avenue. From thee moment I pulled into the development it gave me that " I could live here " type of feel. I came in and Met With Anna She asked me a series of questions about what I WANTED in a Home and She ABSOLUTELY Listened to my WANTS and NEEDS. She contacted me a few days later with the details. I opted for stainless steel appliances and the equipment was on backorder of course I panicked I called and spoke with another Leasing agent who reassured me they would try and do the best they could to have it by my move in date. AND AGAIN they delivered EVERYTHING and MORE that was promised. I feel SAFE and SECURE no matter what time I arrive HOME. It's Quiet, Peaceful, and definitely kid approved and REASONABLY PRICED for all of the amenities you can get. It sometimes can be a chore dealing with management companies HOWEVER, This Manager and Her conglomerates of Leasing agents make the transition seamless and effortless I could not have made a more better decision than to make Northgate apartments my Home. CONGRATULATIONS to ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( lol ) if I could rate my overall experience mixed in with the performance of Management It's MOST CERTAINLY A 10 OUT OF 10 and comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!

We just moved out of Northgate and I really enjoyed our time there. Maintenance lacked slightly but nothing extreme. The office staff was always friendly and explained things well. Jennie helped us a lot with breaking our lease under the military clause and I can’t thank them enough for saving me some money in the process!

The apartments here are great. You can really tell maintenance takes pride in the property. I see them out early every morning picking up any trash they see. The pool in the summer is super nice to have. The (no guest policy) Is annoying when your kids have friends over. But overall its nice to have. The office staff (Jenny and Amy) have always been fare with me, and any time i have a maintenance request they get it taken care of right away. I thank you both.

These apartments are big. I love having my own washer and dryer in my apartment. The office staff was all very helpful. Aimee helped answer all my questions.

They stole money from me. They do not care what you write on your move in sheets. They will charge you anyways. Had a neighbor who smoked weed and cops called on. Had a solicitor trying to take your account information. Amy who is the property manager is not a person who cares about customers. NOT MILTARY FRIENDLY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. EVEN WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC AND DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE YOUR INNOCENT. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!

I was there in 2016 for 8 months..Worst, horrible apartments. worst management who sucks tenants blood in the name of penalties.... I wish to give 0.5 rating I wish I should not have chosen this apartment to stay. This is the worst apartment I even seen.. I was there for 8 months and I returned the apartment to them in almost same way what it was. But charged too much money. Trust me they are the worst leasing agents I ever seen. they charged me 250$ for loss of keys, 300$ for painting, 250$ for cleaning, 100$ for carpet cleaning and 25$ for parking sticker and 25$ for issues new cheque as forwarding address was changed which comes to total 925$...

Rent is 940 a month for a one bedroom. However, the apartment is nice. Quiet neighbors, the unit has its own washer and dryer which is nice. They even have balconies. The only thing that would make this place perfect would be if the rent was cheaper.

This is a great building to live in, especially for a first time apartment renter. Your close to grocery stores and restaurants and only 15 minutes from six flag and gurnee mills mall. The staff is very helpful when it comes to problems and quick to fix anything that you need fix. The pool is very nice and so is the work out area. I couldn't ask for a better place its very safe, always a lot of park for the tenants and guest and their is a lot of military family that live here to. I couldn't prefer a better place then this to come home to.

The rest is great for the amount of space you get, BUT they nickel and dime you every chance they get and the staff don't seem to be on the same page. My husband is stationed at the Naval Base and it's nice and close for his commute. It would be nice if they warned you that the first Tuesday of every month at 10am is when they test the Tornado Warning sirens. There's a pool and gym, but I won't swim alone and I'm too pregnant to work out. Overall it's great place to live, but they could do with a few improvements.

So these apartments are clean and quiet. The lay out of the apartments and room sizes are spacious. Also, the pool is very nice and well kept. The community is safe and there is security on premises. Over all I like it... but Amy the complex manager is rude and snooty. On move in I received a packet and I mean a Packet of rules. Now I understand apartment need to have rules to keep them safe and enjoyable, but some of them really go too far. The complex could also use another dumpster or two, they are always over filled and no one enforces not throwing away large furniture this is annoying because the often block the whole dumpster.

This apartment complex has a night time security staff that are helpful and friendly. Also, if your looking for quick walks to restaurants, shopping centers, and parks (including a on location dog park) this is the perfect place. When compared to other near by apartments the pool, gym, lounge area and courtyards are well maintained and the staff is helpful. There are resident rummage sales, pool parties, and opportunities to win FREE rent for a month. A washer and dryer in the apartment is icing on the cake. This is a great place if you want a clean, spaces, quiet and incredible place to live.

Pool only open Memorial Day to Labor Day - dependent on weather, holidays, and general availability of a mandatory staff member. Tennis court (and small playground) is not part of complex (despite what website says) as it is actually locked and gated off because it belongs to another complex. Work out facility is okay. Overall decent value except for all the fees (see below). Pet fees are unlike anything I've ever seen, which is why they don't advertise these on their site. You are allowed up to two pets, but you will pay heavily for this. These fees are all non negotiable and will not be waived for any reason; $10/month PER PET is permanently added to your monthly rent $150 NON-REFUNDABLE fee PER PET is due at signing $150 refundable fee PER PET is due at signing Application fee of $35 PER PERSON Administration fees of $150 - which they can waive (if they want to) Deposit fee is MINIMUM of $99 if you have good credit, clean background check, AND have proof of working at a large local employer they like such as Abbott or Uline. Max deposit will be equal to one month's rent. $85/month for a tiny parking garage spot; otherwise free for all in the parking lot which is usually full by 8 or 9pm Rent goes up $25/month each year you resign your lease.
