The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Northgate Oaks Apartments
You'll pay more money here than any other apartment near 1960 and still be treated like a nonresident! They don't have the business sense to understand how to resolve a common misunderstanding of towing your own residents car. Most apartments would understand the dynamics of why you release a PAYING renter's car especially when the renter is paying additional fees for a car port. The manager Erin's cold stone wall attitude didn't help anything. They let the tow truck drivers do whatever they want with your property and dictate how you use a space your paying for. I've learned "prestige" places like these are often surrounded with the arrogance that they can treat you in any way because they have a lake. ITS NOT WORTH IT.
INVASIVE PEST CONTROL - Pest control knocked on my door and immediately entered with no warning when my wife was in the shower. TOWING RESIDENT'S CARS - Resident cars will be and have been towed for any small reason. About 20 parking spots total for visitors for 13 buildings, most of which are taken by residents who were only given 1 parking sticker but have 2 cars who are forced to park in visitors (policy per the current leasing agent). She stated that if there are no spots, "Visitors are not my concern they will have to park at the grocery store across the street and walk." Many residents have either expressed concern, moved out, or plan to move after their cars have been towed for small reasons. After towing my car that was parked in my own parking spot due to the tag not being present regardless of our registered license plate. The manger refused even consider adding a small adjustment the towing policy that a registered license plate can not be towed in paid parking to ease residents worrying mind and appease several residents whose cars have been towed. She stated, "I will not" do it. DEFECTIVE LIGHTS - 1-2 of the 6 studio track lights blow out about every 2 weeks due to a defect. We were told this is a major problem throughout the complex that fails to be fixed after years. KIDS BANGING ON DOORS & RUNNING - At all hours of the day and night VANDALISM - Kids coloring on the walls of the apartment WRITING ON CARS - Kids writing on the sides of cars BROKEN GATE - Constantly broken and visitors dialing to open the gate rarely works DIRTY STAIRS - Valet trashing causes disgusting stairs that have not been cleaned even once which is embarrassing to visitors POOP EVERYWHERE - All the way around the lake there is dog poop every few steps despite the signs saying pick up poop. Again, disgusting and embarrassing to visitors.
As a RESIDENT, my car was TOWED IN MY PAID PARKING SPOT. We are given 2 items to put in or on the car: a sticker to show that we are a resident and a parking tag to show that we pay monthly for our covered parking spot. The sticker was present. However, the tag was not. My car was towed within a couple of hours. I spoke with the manager and asked if she would adjust the policy IN THE FUTURE to utilize the license plate number THAT THEY REQUESTED when a car is registered by any resident (for the sticker and when they sign for paid parking). She stated, "It is not my fault the tag was not in the car, it is yall's fault." I asked her again, MOVING FORWARD, to prevent the many resident complaints expressed to me as a resident and Northgate Oaks as a company, and so that their resident cars wont be towed, if she could use the tag. However, in addition to the tag, if the tag had fallen off in the car or was simply not present, if the towing company could use the default license plate number that was requested by them to verify that this is indeed a parking spot that is paid for by this resident to verify before towing the car. She said, " No, this is not policy." I asked her if she could add this by simply providing a list to the towing company. She said that she can't. I asked her if she can't or she won't? She argued with me and said she can't. At the end of our conversations she told me that she simply won't. She refused to call to have my car released (which many complexes will do from my apartment experience and my mother being an apartment manager). She refused to even offer full or partial credit to my bill for the misunderstanding. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Northgate Oaks Apartments to anyone. I will be leaving along with several other residents that have left or have plans to leave when their lease expires. It is not fair for visitors to have to park at Wal-Mart. It is also not fair for the residents to constantly have to worry if they will wake up and their car has gotten towed over a small stipulation causing them to have to pay $209 to retrieve it, and the towing company finds any miniscule reason to deny you. I will be contacting management, and I will also be contacting the news station if this situation is not resolved. I hope this review helps anyone who is considering Northgate Oaks Apartments as their possible home. View Less
I agree with several reviewers who have written that Northgate Oaks is not the great property that it used to be a year ago. This property has taken a huge turn for the worse recently. They will tow your car and your visitors cars for ANY REASON big or small within 30 minutes or less and you will pay $209 to get it back. I would NOT RECOMMEND to anyone.

I have been at this location for about 2 years now, I will start off by letting you know about the lighting in the apartments; there are tracking lights in the kitchen and dining area 6 bulbs altogether, they go out every other week and you are expected to pay $10 per bulb to replace them, also the property is not well maintained, you have to consistently call for your area to be power washed only to be told they are short staffed and you will be place on a waiting list, and the staff can be rude when you bring issues up to them. The property manager Erin tends to add new services all the time without the consideration of the tenants whom is paying the rent for the property, and will tell you if you don't want to pay $10 per bulb go find them yourself; she also does things like adding trash remove for a fee, and package lockers which are inconvenient for the tenants and convenient for the staff; if you have large packages, it will not be easy for you to get them because of where the lockers are located, and not to mention the property is going down. If you like loud music in the parking lot, then this would be the place for you.
A new management company took over, not very pleased club house bathrooms aren't clean, pool opens late and closes early some days and landscaping isn't very well kept up. Hopefully things will get better
It is so nice to come home to a nice, new apartment. Love the fountains on the property. Although I don't have a pet, there is an awesome dog park area where they can run around. Management is professional and responsive. Love that they will accept Fed-Ex/UPS pkgs....a lot will not anymore. Nice work-out room and tanning room. Big clean pool and cook-out area. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is for crowded parking, but is really only late at night.
