Property Ratings at Northpointe Village
I have lived here for 3 years. In the past I have had no problem getting things fixed. However, when the new owners took over, things went downhill. It takes several calls to the office to get anything fixed and the usual excuse is that the maintenance is "too busy". I find this very discouraging. The apartment is nice and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm tired of getting the run around from the office. Also cars are being parked along the fence across from my building and the two adjutant buldings where there are no marked spaces. This has been going on for over a year. Nothing seems to be done to stop this violation of the parking rules. The people in the office just shrugged it off when I mentioned it to them.

I have lived here for over six years now and ever since AMC, LLC took over it has turned into the worst place to live. The management turnover is pretty much every other month. We literally don't have maintenance staff anymore either! The pool is a putrid green and the hot tub is muddy brown. The new managers are complete tyrants and trying to control how our balconies look. There are so many ridiculous extra fees here now as well and the newest one is the trash collecting program that was sprung onto us without any heads up. The new "towing" company is also a sham. This complex is riddled with mold and mice infestations. This complex used to be beautiful and well kept grounds. There is trash everywhere, half dead grass and a dirty pool. CAM charges for what? Do yourself a favor and run far away from this place!

Oct. 04 2023 I notified the front office of electrical issues in my apartment after I put a meal into the microwave I've been using for over a year and all the electricity in the kitchen went out. Only half of the electrical outlets were returned to working order. I was then told one of the electrical outlets shouldn't be used because it was causing the plug for the refrigerator to go out. When the refrigerator turned itself off again, the maintenance employee checked the outlet to find that it worked but did not provide enough electricity to power the refrigerator. He informed me that professional electricians would need to be sent out. A few days later the electricians came and informed me that the issue would persist because the electrical box was improperly wired but that a new refrigerator may help. I heard nothing more about the matter so I went to the main office where I was told to "be patient" and that if they came once they would eventually come again. As the month progressed it got colder. I tried using my heater to warm the house however it won't stay on for longer than 3 minutes without shutting off. I informed the office of this on Oct. 20th and a maintenance person came out to fix it. By the 22nd it wasn't working again. I called emergency maintenance and was told by the on call maintenance person that there was nothing they could do to assist in the moment because a part needed to be replaced and someone would be by the next morning to replace it. I went to the office on the 23rd when it hadn't been replaced and another person came out without replacing the part I was told needed replacement. The issue was still not resolved. On the 10th of Nov., I was given a singular space heater to warm my entire apartment. I've reached out to all levels of management that I currently have contact information for and have only heard back from the property manager after posting this review just to tell me she had no idea that this issue was still outstanding despite my reaching out as recently as Friday and being told nothing could be done about it until today. As of this afternoon, I've been completely ignored by the tenant support line as well as all the managers that I've reached out to. I've also been denied my right to request my heating and electrical issues be addressed in the seven days since they are emergency issues.

If you can find somewhere else to live, do so. Maintenance is nonexistent, the office workers are rude and unhelpful, there is dog poop every where. The pool will probably be closed most of the summer. I lives there for almost four years, used to be a lovely place. But the new owners don’t care and it shows. For what you’ll be charged you can do better.

I relocated to this apartments from another state in April. I had very little to go on but the apartments were nice enough when I visited. It's mostly clean and quiet but that's where the positives end. When I moved in there were smalls items that needed to be addressed. I reported it at move in and am still dealing with issues related to that seven months later. A few months after moving in, my rent pay system wasn't accurately reporting my rent costs. When I informed the front office of this issue I was called incompetent and a liar and was accused of trying not to pay my rent despite paying on time up to this point. I was charged a late fee and paid it. The next time the issue arose, I took photographic evidence and sent it to the office. I was then called and told that sometimes happens and in those instances they don't charge a late fee because it was not the tenants fault. When I mentioned I was already charged one previously I was given a "sincere" apology and encouraged to reach out to the office again if I continue to have issues. That was last month. This month I go to pay and there is yet another issue. I go to the front office to explain my issue and they make it sound like I'm being dishonest again. So I bring my computer back to show the issues I'm having. No one could help. I was then given a "customer service number" for the rent pay portal company. They don't have a customer service. I got directed to the manager and vp of the complex and have left over five correspondences via email and phone call to them both since the first. I was told I should hear back within 24 hours. It's the seventh and I still haven't heard a thing. If you do not like living in an apartment with insecure bathroom fixtures or playing "will I get to pay my rent today" then I strongly discourage you from moving into this complex. They do not care about tenants or fixing issues here. They only care about getting your money by any means necessary and they will still charge you late fees when the issues you encounter are on their parts.

Everything about moving here was a disaster. We were suppose to move in in august of 2021. We were making a move across the country from Pittsburgh PA before pulling out we were told our apartment unit would be ready upon arrival and boy were they wrong. Once we got to Albuquerque, we were told the crew got Covid-19 and had been out all week so the apartment wasn't finished, leaving us in a hotel with two dogs for almost 4 weeks. When we finally got the keys the apartment was not cleaned, it was not finished being renovated or just move in ready. We didn't have door knobs for two months. We didn't have outlet covers so our wiring was exposed. (told these were on back order) we had to get the apartment cleaned ourselves for us to even feel comfortable moving in. After two months of living there we had be relocated by our jobs so for 10 months the apartment sat vacant. Upon moving out we over paid our prorated rent which we didn't receive until days after the 1st of the month so they charged a late fee for their own mistakes. Twice we were told two different rates and now we aren't receiving our deposit back due to cleaning and damages done to the apartment after 2 months of living there. I will say some of it is correct. But that is what a deposit is for. We were charged for carpet stains, damages and carpet cleaning... that same exact thing and treatment. So three fees for one service that we had to clean ourselves upon moving in..... on top of that the management has been nothing but unpleasant the entire time if you can get them on the phone its likely they will hang up the phone on you and then stop answering. I've never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional property. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Also watch out for poop as they never supply bags and no tenant ever cleans up after their dogs.
Long time resident and have seen many staff come and go. This is by far the worst I have ever seen in this complex. Management is beyond awful. Maintenance requests go unserviced a month and counting after 2 calls. With literal falling apart water damaged ceilings. Neighbors literally screaming in the night at 2am. Calls are rarely to never answered by staff. Management used to be excellent and maintenance was usually done within a week of a call. Under new management it’s not going to happen. Added bonus rent is climbing up to basically unjustifiable levels. Not joking my next step is housing authority contact. Yes I’m truly at that point . And you’re getting quite a bit less than under previous ownership daily. Do yourself a solid and avoid .

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and for being a long-time resident at Northpointe Village. We greatly apologize for the many inconveniences that you have experienced in regards to noise disturbances, and unsatisfying living conditions. We want to make this right for you, and will greatly answer any further questions that you have. Please stop by the leasing office so that we can go over your concerns in more detail. Thank you.
This place used to be comfortable and pleasant, seven years ago when we moved in. Since then unfortunately, it has changed ownership and is now administered by a quite inexperienced staff, who must be under such pressure to make money they don’t even pretend to be nice. Moreover, apartments are old and the maintenance staff is stretched so thin they don’t catch up with everything. They have also downgraded their landscaping crews, so common areas are poorly maintained. Of course too, they say the Post Office needs to maintain mailboxes, and the Post Offices doesn’t follow up, so you’re left with constantly vandalized and broken mailboxes. Bottom line: this is not a good place to stay anymore.
Nice apartments. Awful management. Like truly horrid. They started collecting DNA samples of all the pets. If your dog poos or urinates on the property they they will charge you 350 on your rent. No joking. Even if you pick it up. My family and i have always cleaned after our dog we carry our own dog bags. However they claimed our dog was urinating and pooing on the opposite side of the complex. Somewhere we have never been. And they DEMANDED WE PAY 350 OR BE EVICTED WITH 7 DAYS. STAY AWAY. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY.

I been renting all my life but this place was the worst. My child bike was stolen right under our door. When I move out they want to charge me 400$ for cleaning, they ruined my credit and now I’m taking them to court. Stay away, don’t worth of risk. Safe your money find another place
I lived here for over three years, and would have stayed longer if I didn't move across the country. The office staff is professional and goes above and beyond for their residents. There were lots of resident functions they held! They aren't the most updated units, but they are clean with free pest control (on the first floor I only had an issue during the changing of the seasons, which is to be expected and it was handled immediately). The two bedroom was gigantic with two walk in closets, storage on the patio, a full pantry, and washer and dryer! The convenience of the location was great, too. In the quiet NE heights, but a hop skip and a jump to I40 and close to everything important (like Chick Fil A). I do wish I had been able to get hardwood floors throughout, but the management company wasn't offering it at the time.
I lived here for over 4 years and saw the rents rise dramatically each year. They are now priced at the top end of the market for what you get. As I expected, I was able to find a much bigger and better apartment for the same price when my lease was up for renewal. The appliances in my apartment were vintage, but not in a good way. They were 70s or 80s dull yellow and with a washer and dryer that barely worked. I turned in many work tickets on the dryer over the years yet it still took about 5 hours to dry two towels. The toilet leaked for the past year and I finally gave up on submitting work tickets. These are old buildings and you can tell. When I went out of town for more than a day, I returned to that musty smell that old, decaying buildings have. Crime is a recurring problem here that management is indifferent to. My car was broken into to twice over the last year. My neighbors apartment was burglarized during broad daylight. The mailboxes were broken into regularly over the years until management finally installed security gates in the mail area recently. Keep looking! There are much better and much better managed complexes out there.
Nice place on the outside, kind people in the office. The floor plans only allow for very specific furniture placement. Decent price but not worth it. I had approximately 8-12 gallons of water dump through the ceiling 8 times in my bathroom before finally I requested a new unit. They "patched" the ceiling twice and the issue persisted. I had to move my belongings to a new unit myself. Once I transitioned into the unit, my new neighbors were not welcoming. As a music producer for universal music I was constantly working on composing and mixing music. I made sure to download a db meter to ensure I followed the sound regulations by never peaking over 85db (talking level). Anytime I would work the neighbor would walk and stand in front of my window and front Door and make rustling noises to display her grief. Nobody knocked on my door to discuss any issues they may have had with me which makes for a rather uncomfortable community to be around. The complex also hires a company to put boots on their own residence vehicles regardless of the fact you pay a monthly fee for your parking spot, they still require you call, leave a message, and wait to get a call back at their convenience to have the boot removed for a $75 fee. They fired and rehired an entirely new maintenance team. The maintance was in my apartment without permission looking for a "shut off valve" for the other unit, in which they thought was located in my ceiling in the bedroom. As soon as I entered my unit to find them in it, they seemed surprised and left instantly. I work in a trade and have an understanding of general plumbing, I know that would not be an appropriate location for that shut off valve per Code, no genuine explanation was presented to me for their purpose of entry.
I was in a two-bedroom apartment. These are older apartments that use the swamp-cooler type air conditioning, which was cheap to operate. Maintenance issues, such as the time my toilet started a slow leak, were dealt with promptly and efficiently. I never had a bad encounter with the office staff who were consistently friendly and polite. I found living there pleasant and would happily do so again! I think my cat would too.
I couldn't have picked a better apartment complex to live at then here at Northpointe. The Management is great and is always ready to help when the residents need it. The Apartments are very well kept up with and it is such a lovey place to live. I've been here two years and it really is my home. I don't see myself moving anytime soon. Everyone here makes me feel safe and i know i can always count on the leasing office to help me. They are also pet friendly. This is somewhere you would want to live. The Pool is also a plus, and when you want to get a good workout in the fitness center has everything need. The location of the apartments is in such great area and there is so much to do around here. I could tell you so much more but you would only have to come here and live for yourself to know this is the best apartment complex to live at in the city.
While the complex may not be the nearest to a host of things within the city it does manage to be a quiet location with great views and still decent access to restaurants, shopping, and commuting.
Well the price for the tiny apartments is high. The appliances are old probably 8-10 years on most appliances. No A/C just swamp coolers that aren't very good even though they just put new ones up. Also they decide when to switch heating to cooling and vice versa. It's mid 70s during the day and at night it's upper 50s. They cut off the cooling and depending on where your building is located you may have sun beaming on your building most of the day. Get home at 8pm thermostat says it's 80 degrees. For the price you can find better. And if something breaks be happy if it's done it a month that's pretty quick. I've had things down for 3-4 months at a time before repairs happened.
Took tour of complex and no kids playing or residents outside. Was clean and worth considering for value.
Everything was broken when we moved in and didn't get fixed until 3 weeks later. And everything that wasn't broken when we got here is now breaking down. This place is not worth the hassle.
