Positioned along the Tennessee River just minutes north of the Georgia state line, Chattanooga is a city of rich history, gorgeous scenery, and heaps of southern hospitality. Downtown and the neighboring Southside district form the urban core of the community, with many of the city’s best venues for dining, nightlife, and entertainment found within a couple of blocks of Market Street in this area.
The local museum scene is expansive, and ranges from traditional institutions like the Hunter Museum of American Art to more unique and peculiar attractions like the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum. The Tennessee Aquarium is a local favorite as well, featuring huge exhibits of freshwater and marine animals.
The city is surrounded by thousands of acres of Tennessee’s unspoiled natural beauty, offering endless opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, camping, and mountain biking, or just exploring and sightseeing in general.

Property Ratings at Northshore Village
This place has been alright for my family and I. We moved her over 2 years ago with the raising rent prices this place was one of the last ones to raise their prices and did not have a waiting list common at the time. Over that time the complex has changed management 2 times, fired and replaced many of the staff members that were working when we moved in. The staff now does not seem like they care. They are from a bigger corporation who is buying up less than desirable apartments and adding a couple things and then jacking prices up. The rent increased 2 times in the 2 plus years we’ve lived here and the true quality of the apartment start to show after a couple months. If you have a good eye you can see some Of the mistakes and cover ups. (Just look at what they don’t show you in the photos). A couple of the things my wife and I experienced, no dish washer for the first 6 months maintenance listened over the phone and said it sounds broken and order a new one but it was on back order. The first winter here and our heat went out. Maintenance was able to fix the heat and had a call a specialist who determined that our heating coil from the 1970s when this place was built hadn’t been changed ever and needed to order a coil. The other coil was able to produce enough heat to keep the apartment at 65 the climate control in these apartments is so bad you can physically feel the difference in temperature from downstairs and upstairs. Heat raises so we waited out for the part upstairs where it was warm took about a week to get the part. Overall my wife and I were struggling when we first moved here thanks to the pandemic but if the situation was different we would not have moved her. Our experience was lack luster. The best thing I can say was the stuff and maintenance crew when we moved in took time to get to know people’s faces and where they stayed on the premises. It felt like a community but now most of that staff has been replaced with more a corporate-centric focus. Pay extra attention to the fine details if you tour. A lot of our outlets didn’t work, switches that control nothing and clearly painted over blemishes. No apartment is perfect and at the time this one was perfect for us, now I can longer say that and many others would agree. Going to be placing more reviews on other sites I just was shocked at the inflated score this place gets across multiple sites.
