The largest city in North Dakota, Fargo rests on the North Dakota-Minnesota border and the western banks of the Red River. However, Fargo residents affectionately refer to their location as “North of Normal.”
You might find that Fargo is a bit different when you stop by the Fargo-Moorhead Visitor Center and see the woodchipper from the movie Fargo. Maybe it’ll be when you start spotting members of the colorful herd of bison painted by various artists scattered all around town, and rightfully decide to go on a scavenger hunt to find them all. Perhaps you’ll find it unique that Wurst Bier Hall serves a rattlesnake rabbit bratwurst and indulge your curiosity. You’ll notice that North of Normal is a pretty interesting place to be.
There’s no shortage of things to do in Fargo. Plains Art Museum and Rourke Art Gallery and Museum offer residents and visitors endless opportunities to admire art with all kinds of rotating exhibits.

Property Ratings at Northtown Crossing
You might only ever see a manager in person once if you take a tour. Otherwise they text you about everything. There is so much green grass and places to exercise your dog but they only allow one area for that. If you are a good dog owner and pick up after your dog you will quickly realize no one else does and the DNA swab they do is a joke because they never enforce it. They never told me how to make the pet deposit then texted me at 7pm saying I had till the end of the night to pay it. They rob you of your deposit for cleaning and try to make you feel like they’re doing a nice thing by only charging 6hours of cleaning versus the “9hours” they say it took. This place is not for you if you dont like getting ripped off and seeing rules never be enforced. Glad I only lived here 6 months.
Get ready to lose your deposit and pay hefty extreme fees even petty fees for living at this place... We are clean people that didn't cause any damage but trust me they will find something! Be careful!

Hi there, we are so sorry for the experience you have had with Lux. We definitely do not wish to run our business this way and would like to fix any dispute that may have happened. Would you please email us at info@luxcommunities.com and we will resolve this issue. Thank you!
I lived in Northtown Crossing for a little over a year. There were many problems that became apparent as time went on. The parking is absolutely horrible. There are not nearly enough spaces for all the cars. Most nights people are parked in areas with No Parking signs. Management spent time and money to put No Parking signs in place, yet they are never enforced. The managers frequently sent out messages threatening to tow cars, however, no action was taken. If you have a dog, you pay to have your dog swabbed for DNA. They say they do this so they can fine anyone who doesn't pick up their dog's waste. Just walking around the grounds you'll see they don't ever fine anyone. Every patch of grass on the grounds is littered with dog poop.I also was very disappointed with the unprofessional nature of some of the managers. Each time I visited the main office, it looked like no work was getting done. I spent an entire day cleaning my apartment before checkout and they said I should have minimal charges taken out of my security deposit, however, when I got my check in the mail they took over half the money. So extremely disappointed with my overall experience here.

I lived in Northtown Crossings for a year and what a terrible experience it was. Let's start with the actual apartments. They are nicely designed but with cheap installation and materials. You will break, scratch, or otherwise damage something. So when you do damage something no matter how small they will charge you when you move out. Also expect a "cleaning fee" no matter how spotless you clean the apartment. Don't expect much of your deposit back. Next would be how awful the parking situation is. Everyone gets a garage but no one uses them except in the winter. There are not enough parking spots for residents and having a guest is near impossible. So everyone parks wherever they want and disregard all of the no parking signs as management could care less where you park. One of the unique amenities at Northtown is that they allow you to have pets. But just like their laziness in the parking department they don't really care about the dog poop that is everywhere throughout the complex. They have pet waste stations but they are never filled and if you ask them to fill them they sluff it off like you are annoying them. Last are the actual people managing the place. They all are very disrespectful and aren't the least bit professional. The main manager will do everything she can to give you attitude and make you feel like your problem isn't their problem. So, to wrap things up this place could really care less about you as a resident and will gladly take your money for nothing in return.

I got this apartment based only on floor plan since I had moved from a long distance and unable to view the apartment. They were brand new when I moved in, but they had chips all over the paint and dings on the floor boards and plenty of other things to note. It was if it was constructed overnight. The rooms have little to know sound isolation, if my roommate had her tv on at a medium volume I could plainly hear it, even with both of our doors closed and the living room between us. If you have a downstairs apartment anybody above you will sound like an elephant walking around. When the refrigerator is running you have to double the volume on the TV since it's so loud and the floors reflect the sound all over the place, not to mention there is nothing that separates the kitchen pace from living room space. There is also a parking shortage, forcing you to use your garage pretty much all the time. The only good thing is the garage are spacious and everything is new, if not the best quality. The cabinets are also very nice. Probably what I liked the most were the showers. They put the most thought into the quality of the plumbing fixtures on the sinks throughout the place.
