Perched on the northeast side of Dayton, Huber Heights is a large suburb on the banks of the Great Miami River and the Mad River. One of Huber Heights’ most distinguishing features is its abundance of brick homes, which formed the popular slogan “America’s Largest Community of Brick Homes.” The city is now geared toward growth, promoting the tagline “Come Grow with Us!”
Huber Heights is a predominantly residential community, home to plenty of commuters working in Dayton as well as military service personnel stationed at neighboring Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Huber Heights residents enjoy close access to several scenic parks, including Carriage Hill MetroPark, Taylorsville MetroPark, and Thomas A. Cloud Park. Local shopping centers and plazas are brimming with retail delights, tasty restaurants, and modern conveniences in town as well.

Property Ratings at Northtowne Apartments
Lived here for about 2 years and it's a very nice community of people. Not much goes on here which is nice. Quiet 98% of the time. Management is very nice along with Tim the maintenance man. Do recommend :)
Had my fiancé call here to ask a few questions about an apartment we were interested in they answered her first call answered a few questions. She called than again no answer we’ve called multiple times with no answer and emailed with no answer all while being within there hours. I haven’t lived here so can’t say much about that but trying to get ahold of management about anything is like pulling teeth.
I had the pleasure of calling this apartment community my home for nearly two years, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I moved in, the office staff proved to be friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or concerns. Their responsiveness and dedication made living here a breeze. Maintenance services exceeded my expectations. The process of submitting a ticket online was hassle-free, and the turnaround time for repairs was astonishingly fast, often completed within a day. This prompt attention to maintenance contributed to an stress-free living environment. The amenities offered within this community are truly outstanding. Having a personal garage, private entrance, and front porch added an extra layer of comfort and convenience to my living space. These features provided a sense of privacy and a delightful outdoor space to enjoy. Safety and tranquility were paramount within the community. The property was consistently well-maintained, with a clean and beautifully landscaped environment. This attention to detail enhanced the overall living experience, creating a serene and pleasant atmosphere. While it is common to expect move-out fees when renting, the charges within this community were transparently communicated in the lease agreement, allowing for no surprises. Admittedly, the rules were a bit strict, but they ultimately contributed to the cleanliness and overall well-being of the community. The management's dedication to maintaining a pleasant environment was evident throughout my stay. Contrary to some other reviews, I never experienced any issues with noise. The walls provided ample sound insulation, ensuring a peaceful living space. It's important to acknowledge that individual experiences may vary, but I can confidently say that my time within this community was mostly undisturbed. Regrettably, the rising cost of rent eventually made it unaffordable for me to continue residing here. However, I would gladly return if my financial circumstances were to change in the future. All of that being said the exceptional quality of living made this community a highly desirable place to call home, and I would love to live here again in the future.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We appreciate and value your experience and time at our community! If you ever find your way back to Northtowne, we would love to have you back as a valued resident!
We are an older couple (80 and 74) and we are very happy at Northtowne Apartments. Staff is quite likeable and prompt in taking care of any problem. We have only one common wall with our neighbor and we rarely hear them. Two things only minimally bother us. One is the landscaping. When we moved here in 2020, the trees and bushes were beautiful. These days when they pull out dead bushes or trees, they don't replace them and it takes forever to take the dead stuff out. It has definitely looked shabby in the last year. Two ,is if you don't like noisy hot roddy cars and motorcycles, and it keeps you sometimes unable to hear yourselves speak when on the porch, then you may have a problem with the noise. However, that problen should be with law enforcement. Huber Heights gets worse every year. Overall, we love it here!!! We wouldn't move unless we get too old to maintain our place. Friendly and comfortable and safe.
We love everything about our apartment at Northtowne. Everyone who has seen our unit couldn't get over the generous storage and closet space. Very nice quiet community, we love sitting on our porch in the evenings. The management and maintenance are helpful and very proactive in addressing any service needs. Location is very convenient to shopping, restaurants and highway access We highly recommend Northtowne !

Thank you for the recommendation to residing in our community. We strive to take care of all of our residents and to make it a stress-less home. It is agreed that our location is a big plus. The shopping is convenient but if your looking for a nice drive out into the country you have that too!
Nice apartments.. although VERY small. Not much privacy at all. Could hear neighbors tv. Walls very thin. The water is disgusting. You're not allowed to have a water softener either. Scroll through their photos. I uploaded one of my sink water vs filter water and the sink water was brown. I didn't trust the ice maker in the freezer so I put it in a bowl and let it melt and I don't even know what was in that bowl!! There was a red tint and a white film over the top of the water. So gross. They dont paint their apartments.. dry wall dust all over all my stuff upon moving. My red sheets turned the entire wall red because the room was so small, there wasn't anywhere else to put my bed except against the wall.. The pools is nice except when the leasing manager comes out to bother you and ask to see your wrist band to make sure you're a resident. Also make sure you spackle over every single hole if you hang anything at all because they will charge you ALOT. Had initial walk through at the beginning of the month i moved out and was told the apartment was in "good" shape. Once I actually moved they did another walk through and decided to charge my whole deposit and then some. The leasing manager also forced me to do my initial walk through 5 days before the date my contract said... this was because "she was going to be over there doing other inspections". This place doesn't take care of their residents. They just want your money.

We are very concerned with your unhappiness while you resided in our community. Allow us to take this opportunity to comment on your issues. We have no record of any resident having an issue as you described with the water. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will check our residents to make sure this is not an issue others are having. We were unable to find the photo you uploaded of your sink water vs the filter water. If you could email that photo so we could have it for reference we would greatly appreciate it. I am sorry that you had an issue with drywall dust on your belongings when moving. I am not sure if this was when you moved in or moved out. Since we are newly built some of our very first residents experienced some dust in the air vents from construction. We have done our best to rectify these issues when brought to our attention. Also, we will check with other residents to see if they too are having issues with color from there sheets transferring to the wall and do our best to rectify this matter. Please understand that we want all of our residents and their guests to enjoy all of our amenities. On several occasions the office was notified by other residents at the pool that people were smoking in the pool area. When we receive complaints we do go out to the pool area and ask to see everyone’s pool bracelet. We do not like to single anyone out so if we ask one person we must ask everyone. Our intentions are not to bother our residents and we are sorry if we made you feel this way. When people are scheduled to move out, we do attempt to do pre-walks before residents move out so we can assess what repairs may be needed and order necessary items. When we do this first walk, the apartment is usually still full of furniture and belongs and we are not able to see everything. Wall damage is an item that is difficult to assess until a resident is completely moved out. We will charge for wall repairs if there are holes large than a nail. In our final charges we do our best to be detailed about the items charged and take pictures. We would be happy to explain any charges you feel are unfair. We strive to create a positive living experience for every resident. We are sorry this was not your experience and hope that you are happy at your new residence.
My husband and I have been very impressed with Northtowne Apartments ever since we moved in in September, 2015. We were married in September and were very nervous (due to construction time lines) if we were going to be able to move in before the wedding or not. The management worked with us and let us know along the way what the move-in time lines looked like. As a stressed soon to be bride, I was more than pleased with the attitude and friendliness of the management at Northtowne. Since that time, the management has helped us whether it was emergency parking concerns, issues within the apartment, or even issues with a sign making too much noise outside of our bedroom window (when it was windy). With each of these situations they promptly worked with us to fix any situation and to ensure that we weren't anxious or worried (which is big for my anxious personality). Also, even though we haven't had a tough winter, I have been impressed with how quickly snow plows dealt with the parking lots and streets. In conclusion, I would definitely suggest moving to this area. Its conveniently located near a large amount of shopping and restaurants, the staff/management is friendly and accommodating, and the complexes are beautiful to walk around in the nicer weather!

We absolutely love our living space and the community here at Northtowne Apartments. The layout is nice and the attached garage is a plus. We enjoy having amenities such as a fitness center, pool, and clubhouse, and we absolutely love the management and leasing staff here on the property. I would recommend Northtowne Apartments to anyone looking for a place that feels like home.

Thank you for the kind words! Our door is always open. We appreciate you taking the time to post a review.
We just moved in 2 months ago. It is a brand new community. We are the first to live in our apartment. We love it so far and really don't anticipate any future issues. The location is perfect as we are both commuters. My husband travels I-70 to work and I commute on I-75. The location offers easy access to both Interstates for us. So far the management has been friendly and we haven't had any maintenance issues. We both think the price is great. I love having an attached garage (if it ever gets cold and snows in Ohio we won't have to worry about scraping our windshield which is a definite plus).

Thank you for letting us know how we are doing. We have a dedicated management/maintenance team that truly cares that our residents needs are taken seriously. The recommendation to live at Northtowne Apartments is much appreciated. We are glad that you are here.......
Where to begin???? When I put my deposit down for the apartment I was assured that I would be allowed to move in prior to September 15, 2015. I didn't get a call to move in until October 3, 2015, and the attitude that I got from the manager was "it's no big deal at least you're in now". I don't know if this complex was intentionally laid out as poorly as it is, or if it was a mistake. The parking here is absolutely terrible! A resident is only permitted to park in their garage or directly in front of it. There are many "guest" parking spaces vacant, but if a resident needs to park in the for a short time they do it at the risk of being towed. If you rent a single garage unit you may only have two vehicles on the grounds at any given time or risk being towed. This was a problem for me because I have a company vehicle, personal vehicle, and my fiancé has her vehicle. I am now paying to store my personal vehicle a few miles away... the head manager even told me that as soon as she gets the towing signs up she will be towing all the vehicles that are not parked in accordance with the lease agreement! As of this point I have lived here for one month, and my newly constructed unit that I pay $875 per month for has mice! they are in the garage, attic, and apartment! This place is ridiculous, for these brand new units and the amount of rent you pay, you shouldn't have to deal with these types of things. When I first called the office about the mice I was discredited, and was told there was no way mice were in the units. I then sent the manager the pictures of the mice I had caught in traps in my garage and apartment. Once it was established that there were mice in the apartment I was told by the manager the maintenance man was only available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-4. This was a problem because I work Monday- Friday 8-5. I told her that I wanted to be there while there was a stranger in my house, but she pulled rank and implied if I didn't take off work to be there when it was convenient for the apartment complex then she would just enter my apartment, that I pay $875 per month for, whether I was ok with that or not. The bottom line is these people will sweet talk you, but once you have signed on the dotted line they couldn't care less. I thought I was getting something more for a "luxury apartment"... Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live... you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig...

We take all complaints seriously and we are very sorry that you are unhappy with your experience here. Due to the fact that the community is still under construction it has been our policy to not give definitive move in dates until we receive buildings from our construction team. There must have been a misunderstanding during the move in process and until this review we were not made aware that there was a problem with the move in date. Although parking is limited we have designed our community to provide all residents with at least two designated parking spaces and four spaces if you have a two car garage. Upon move in we explain our parking rules clearly and we are sorry that we cannot provide you with three parking spaces. However, we do try to work with our residents and with permission allow the visitor spaces to be used temporarily if needed, but they cannot be used permanently. When we were told that you had an issue with mice at the end of the day on Tuesday, December 8th a service request was entered the following morning and we had our service technician scheduled to inspect the next day he was in which was Thursday. We understand that it may be inconvenient to wait, and we are working on getting a full time service technician as our community fills up with more new residents. We were not granted access to enter the apartment to inspect on Thursday, so we had our service technician look around the building to address any spots where mice may be getting in. We want to get the issue with the mice resolved as soon as possible and our service technician has been able to set an appointment with you to look at the issue Tuesday morning. It is our hopes that we are able to find and resolve the problem. Thank you for bringing your concerns with our community to our attention. If you have any other concerns please let us know we are here to help where we can and our goal is to provide all of our resident with a community they are proud to call home.
