Property Ratings at Northville Forest Apartments
Excellent, quiet piece to live. Tracey was very helpful and answered all of my questions and gave me updates on my apartment throughout the application/moving process. The living area is very spacious, the landscaping is very nice and maintenance is super friendly!
I have applied for housing at Northville Forest Apt and the office received my application as well as the app fees. I have been working in Michigan as an Electrical Engineer for more than two year for different employers and of course I have an excellent credit history. My apartment rental application was turned down and the reason mentioned on letter was “#Other: Incomplete documentation: application, proof of income and rental verification". I followed up by since I never had any rejection for rental application or any credit card application and none of these reasons were mentioned on the phone. They claimed that there is a company policy that require applicants to have the SAME JOB for at least a year. I never seen this as requirement elsewhere and also I haven’t seen any document that mention this requirement. Asked for app fees to be refunded and I had them back. However, this was an obvious stereotyping against me. There is no way for this to be a requirement, simple they wouldn’t have their apartment complex full.
Been living in our apartment for three years and we love it! Maintenance comes right away and the staff is always friendly. Our neighbors are older so it's usually very quiet. We're planning to stay until we move out of state.
This apartment is reasonably priced, great location and friendly neighbors. Management and maintenance are very efficient. The location is perfect, great restaurants, bars and centrally located. I defintely recommend looking into Northville Forest!
my wife and i have lived at northville forest for two years now and love it here. the grounds are filled with trees to provide shade. even the main entry road is lined with trees and lamp posts, which looks so great at night. the apartments are spacious inside, the walk-in-closets are a nice bonus, and some apartments even have an extra room off the living room for a library or home office. my only real complaint--other than not being able to have a dog--would be the age of the apartments, as the windows, doors, and some of the appliances--air conditioners, ovens, etc--are older and may need maintenance or replacing altogether. all in all, though, we love the affordable rent and secluded atmosphere of northville forest and will likely be here for a few more years!
My husband and I both moved around a lot before we got married and decided to rent an apartment at Northville Forest Apartments for our first place together. We have alot of experience with rentals and Northville Forest has been one of the best! We have been here 2 years and just signed for a third. We love the Plymouth/Northville area but these cities can be expensive places to live. This complex is the most affordable we found without sacrificing value. The neighborhood is safe, complex is beautiful, and the staff here is incredible. Any problems we have had in the two years-all minor repairs or maintenance-were handled promptly and professionally. The neighbors are friendly and we have never had a problem with noise or disruptions in the complex. The apartments are very spacious and well maintained. I love the large bedrooms, the Jack and Jill bathrooms, and the patio area. I highly recommend Northville Forest if you are looking for a great place to live in the Plymouth/Northville area!
Very nice place. I would like to live here, peacefull place, staff seems great
I moved here from out of state and feel super lucky that I found this place. To begin with, Tracy helped me do the leasing over the phone/mail and made it easy every step of the way. After being here a year, I still dont have any complaints. The apartment it self is very nice (I'm in the 2bedroom with study). I had one issue with the toilet and they came a replaced it the next day! Other than that, I've had no maintenance issues. The grounds themselves are in great shape and are always maintained. The pool is very nice as well. To top it off, the staff and the neighbors have been nothing but nice and friendly. If there is an opening, I highly recommend you get a place here. P.S. Tracy is the best office manager I've had yet!
I have been living at Northville Forest Apartments for 2 1/2 years since I moved here from out of state. Original plan was to stay only for one year, but I love the apartment and felt I could not find a better community or value. Management (both Tracy, leasing manager and Mike, property manager) have been great! They are responsive to my needs and have been very cooperative. I really count on them to continue to make my living experience here top-notch. The quality of the apartment and location is excellent. I am located in the back so traffic and noise are minimal. The grounds are well kept. I am within 25 minutes of downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor. Close to Hinds Drive is a BIG plus if you are a cyclist. Another important factor is the type of renters living here. No big loud parties or wild out of control people that I have encountered. Just nice folks.
This place is AWESOME.. We got one of their town homes.. they tiled the entry way, kitchen, and bathrooms.. HUGE basement... You can hear some noise from neighbors, but, really, not a big deal.. the maintenance is very very fast to come out and fix things.. we moved here in the winter and this place with all the big trees.. it is very beautiful in the winter time.. plus, in the summer, the trees block the sun from coming in our windows and heating the place up! I'm going to be living here for as long as I can.. Two things worth mentioning, the buildings were built in the 70s.. I don't care about that, I grew up in a home that was built in the 1800s.. and the fridge/stove are up to date, but, on the middle to low end of models.. again.. nothing I care about.. This place is close to 275, 14, 96, and 696.. can't really beat living anywhere else! Plymouth Canton schools are AWESOME too!!!
This is a good neighborhood, but this complex was built originally as section 8 housing, which means a lot of the regulations were skipped over. A lot. The walls are very thin, to the point where - you better like your neighbors because you are going to hear them, every day (and yes, there is always that at apartments but this is like a hearing them word for word situation). While I was there they had good maintenance and staff, but when I left there was a turnover and they hired a manager who seemed to have very little experience with real people (I think she was customer service person previously, but only over the phone). It's cheap rent for the area, but be wary of the fact that it is cheap for a reason.
I've rented for a great part of my life, and have never enjoyed any complex more than Northville Forest Apartments. The sense of community here is unlike any other place. The office staff is great, maintenance is top notch, and it's own by a private family, rather than a huge corporation. It may lack some amenities offered by other places, the personal attention more than makes up for the inconvenience of doing dishes by hand and buying your own microwave. The windows are really bad, so the heating bills are high, but that is offset by the reasonable rental cost. I'm happy here, and I love my neighbors!
