As one of the oldest cities in the United States west of the Appalachians, Cincinnati offers residents contemporary urban living in a historic, distinctive setting. One of the oldest cities in the US houses an influential youth culture. Students, professionals, artists, and musicians of all walks of life come to the southwest corner of Ohio to live and work. College and professional sports are wildly popular, with the Bearcats of the University of Cincinnati, the Reds, and the Bengals enjoying huge fan bases in their hometown.
Renters and visitors alike will delight in attractions like the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Newport Aquarium, and the city’s iconic zoo. The annual Oktoberfest is one of the biggest celebrations of its kind outside of Munich, drawing thousands to the streets to celebrate the city’s German heritage.

Property Ratings at Northwest Woods
I’ve lived here going on two years, and maintenance is so dang fast. I’ve lived in plenty of apartments to know that really is rare. Our neighbors are great and it’s usually pretty quiet around here. It’s right off of the highway which is super nice. The only thing I will complain about is that the water seems high. I pay 70-80 which just seems high. Our rent was raised 30 bucks after our first year which wasn’t terrible. The bathroom and kitchen are seriously huge for an apartment. Management always takes all of my probs into consideration and have been great. During the winter they have salt down before I even knew it was supposed to snow. My apartment was toasty in the winter and cold in the summer. We have a fireplace too which is super nice. Hope this helps someone!
Nexus Property Management is sneaky and heartless. My 79-year-old father lived in Northwest Woods for two years. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer recently and is no longer able to live alone. We have moved him in with us for the foreseeable future. His current lease ends in September. In May, he received a letter from the apartment management stating they would be raising the rent by $60/month next year but if he renewed his lease early, that increase would be cut in half. Given that he is on a fixed income and elderly he could not afford the full rent increase so he was forced to sign a new lease in May. At the time he had no idea of his coming health issues. Had he known of his upcoming health issues he would not have signed a new lease in May. He would not have signed a new lease at all and would have given his notice in July, meeting the 60-day notice requirement. Now Nexus says he not only has to give 60-days notice, but will also forfeit his security deposit and be charged an additional 2-3 months rent for breaking the new lease. We have no issue with the 60-day notice as we know no matter when he moved out he’d have to give that and we will forfeit the security deposit but we asked that they not charge us the lease break fee given that the only reason he signed a new lease was because he was essentially forced to in order to avoid a large rent increase. We have made pleas to the apartment management and the corporate office but they are unwilling to budge at all and they will not return our calls.
I've lived in this place on the top floor and my utilities will run around $200 a month the heating and AC units are old the windows are old your apartment will be cold. And when it snows be ready to have slow snow removal to the point it almost takes two days by that time the Sun will melt it
I lived the apartment on the top floor. The AC barely worked you will be hot in the summer and in the winter you will be cold. I left the apartment in the condition that it was when I got it and they claimed I had put a chip in the countertop in the kitchen. Which I find hard to believe but anyway it does no good to dispute. I gave a 60-day notice that I was moving out and and the day before my appointment they told me that they were not be able to meet with me because it was a holiday that is the only day I had as I had moved out of state.
They make this place sound so amazing.... Until you move in. They do not do any maintenance to the apartment when you first move in that you put on the sheet. Anna verbally tells me that I can have my trailer here so I can do my job one month later tells me I had to move it to the clubhouse then they send me a letter telling me I have to get it off the property in 7 days. They knew about my three cars and all of a sudden told me I have to get one of them off the property. Do not think for one second that you're going to get your deposit back I guarantee you're going to wind up pain on top of your deposit.
Great place to live. Quick to fix any maintenance issues. Right off the highway but just far enough away that you can't hear it. Lived here for a year and wish I could stay longer. :)
Been living here since July & love it. Got approved same day I filled out application and moved in 2 weeks later. Apartment was clean, new carpet, and only a few minor things to fix. Anytime I need something they are right on top of it and the grounds are taken care of nicely. Very pleased with my choice.
Carpet is nasty, asked to be replaced and was told it had another 5 years of life ever with it being black all over. Windows leak. The main office parking lot is cleared when it snows but they dont care about anyone that lives here and dont touch any of the other roads or parking lots,
Property Manager at Northwest Woods, Responded To This Review
The author is correct. I also live in this apartment complex. Carpets are out and out nasty. The windows badly leak. Snow removal simply does not occur. Also, maintenance requests can take a long time to resolve.
