Property Ratings at Norwegian Wood
I recently moved out of this apartment complex and they asked if I'd write them review. I told them I'd be happy to since I had a good time while I was there. I liked my apartemt and the property manager. When I had a problem, I called her and she took care of it for me. I read some of the reviews before I started writing this, and I can say I did not have the same experience. I will rememebr living there with good memories with friends and good people. Kitchen space is important to me. I enjoyed cooking there and having my boyfriend and friends over. i'd recommend these apartments. The woods were quiet and peaceful. Laundry was my only con. I had to walk across the parlking area to get the laundry room. Other than that I have no complaints. thanks for considering my review
I have rented here for 6 months and will DEFINITELY NOT be renewing this lease. The walls are paper thin and you will hear the conversations and snoring from the tenants around you at all hours. The apartment has no overhead lighting and is extremely dark. Hot water is 'included' however you get about 2 minutes of luke warm water before it turns ice cold. The washer and dryers are across the complex and don't work despite being expensive. And the cherry on top, management will not respond to your emails if you need anything.
you can't sleep if you live on the first floor. You will hear noisy footsteps, pounding/banging sounds, and wood squeak from upstairs. you also have to face a noisy neighborhood cause they usually have parties on the weekends.
They don’t allow any pets. Which, honestly, is fine. The problem I have is it’s not written anywhere in their ad and the girl who I toured with didn’t even bother to tell me that until we were completely done with the tour. The only reason I was told was because I asked. That should be one of the first things you tell people.
I lived at Norwegian Wood for 3 years. When I lived there, I enjoyed my second floor apartment. I had an outdoor deck space off the living room. The natural surroundings outside each window was very peaceful. My bedroom was large enough to fit my dresser, desk, and queen size bed. The closet was just the right size for all my clothes and shoes. There was only one bathroom but the layout was just right and there was a nice counter top and vanity for my make up and toiletries. The open floor plan kitchen and living space was cool because when I had friends over, we could watch tv and hang out near the food and drinks. The apartment was fully carpeted and really nice carpet. I didn't want to wear my shoes on it in case I got it dirty. It was really soft and made the apartment feel warm and cozy like my moms house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Whenever I called the office, they were quick to help me and rent was easy to pay. If no one was at the office when I wanted to drop it off, I left it in a safe outside the door. After I graduated, I moved back home. Great place to live if you want to be close to school but at a reasonable price.
Do not make the choice to live here !! You will be disappointed after leaving here. You will need to worry about your deposit after leaving the apartment. They will find a reason to charge you and deduct from the deposit and they will rip you off. They deducted $800.00 for nonsense reasons ( blinder, carpet, stovetop etc replacements even though that was not necessary). They will charge you for the carpet replacement because they want to show the carpet new for the new tenant. Here are some of the things you want to know before moving into this apartment complex. 1. There is something is going on all the times. You will hear all maintenance noise all day if you stay at home. 2. Heat insulation is the worst ! most of the units are rented as no heat included ! be prepared to pay ~$350 electricity bill during winter !. They don't care even you complain about the heat leak because they don't have to pay the bill. 3. If you live in the first floor, you will not be able to sleep well due to disturbing noise from upstair unit. 4. Rooms are not bright at all (especially in the master bedroom). You need to turn the light on even during the daytime. 5. First floor rooms were moldy. We could see the white patches on the wall in our master bedroom. 6. Storage is just like a junkyard. if you put your stuff there, they will be infested by Fungus. 7. The kitchen was part of the living room, which I also did not like very much. If you cook something, whole living room will be smelly. 8. I could never get the place to smell right, the hall ways were stuffy and people would leave their trash outside their door ways. 9. You will need to worry about your deposit after leaving the apartment. They will find a reason to charge you and rip you off. 10. The property manager/receptionist at the location is very unfriendly/ rude. She will talk to you nicely while/before moving in, but not during your stay or while moving out. 11. Kitchen exhaust fan only blows smell into the living room. Poorly designed kitchen and exhaust system. 12. They will send you a letter/call you for non-payment after cashing your check even after the fact that the rent was paid in time. I had to show them my bank statement/image of check once. Poor communication between staffs. Only good thing there : New washer/dryer installed recently. However, this is insignificant compared to the bad things there. So, think 100 times before making decision to stay there.
