Property Ratings at Norwood court
I’ve been living in my unit since December 2020, I’ve lived on the property since December 2019. First unit got broken into, I moved since it was on the first floor, but the second unit has been great and secure. Only problem with the second unit is EVERYTHING is outdated. Kitchen is horribly outdated with Rotten cabinets, with holes that mice somehow can find ON THE 3rd FLOOR. I lived on the first floor, NEVER had a rodent problem, and I CLEAN. I don’t leave snacks and food out, I’m a Virgo, very organized and clean. So the mice throw me off. I’ve been complaining about some stuff To maintenance for two years and yet to have been fixed. But once the flood came from heavy rain, leaks that I reported months before the heavy rain, had caused more damage to my unit and personal items because the rain seeped through the ceilings and DRENCHED my floors. When I first reported it, all they did was come in and spray paint over the leaking spots on the ceiling, that was it. Then when the heavy rain came July 28, 2022, 2 months after I reported minor leaks, the ceiling and floors were all drenched. It took 3-4 months for them to complete and replace walls, ceiling and carpet from mold, when it was replaced, a worker went in my kitchen and drunk my Orange limited edition Gatorade in a Can, I was saving it for it’s worth, I’m a collector and investor, I had been keeping that Gatorade for over a year and a worker came in and drunk it and left the can, so that really bothered me, lastly with that situation when they replaced the drywall from my ceiling white residue got on EVERYTHING, and they took my broom, so cleaning my apartment has kinda been a process of irritation. You can see the white residue on top of the refrigerator. The white residue came from the living room, All the way into the kitchen that heavily. I was given germ-x wipes and that was it. I’ve complained about mice since January 2021, after the first month of moving into the new unit, I witnessed a mouse. Almost 2023 and I’ve caught my 9th mouse since living here in this unit yesterday ON THE 3rd FLOOR. Bathroom is outdated with tiles on the walls, makes it very hard to clean the bathroom throughly. Bath tub needed a reglazing/needed to be smoothed out and repainted, never has been attended to. Kitchen cabinets are really old, and has sawdust coming from it, with holes and cracks in cabinet floors. Stove is a gas stove, old with stains, and heat never completely goes off with the stove.
Elevators are inoperable sometimes. It's many car break-ins, it's not well lit at night. The buildings are dirty, the basement, hallways and stairwells. There is wet dirty molded old plaster hanging from the basement ceilings. The outside is beautiful; they keep that real nice, but the inside is dated with OLD appliances including refrigerators, stoves and cabinets. People work on their cars outside like it's a mechanic shop. Oil spots and trailer flatbed trucks parked outside. Residents walk their dogs and don't pick up poop. Dog poop is everywhere in the grass, sidewalks and streets. My lease is up soon, I'm leaving. This place SUCK! Maintenace is a joke with no skills to even change a lightbulb.
I’ve never had a problem living here. From living with my mom to moving on my own years later. When things need to be fixed they get done, if I have concerns or questions staff do a great job of answering it. Updated fixes from what I walked into, what I originally had changed. Great place to live. I feel safe with knowing we have to buzz people in.
I lived in these apartment for 2yrs they are not what they are showing they have had 4 buildings burn down due to them being so old. The staff is ok but not professional at all. If your a single women with children or just a single women it is not safe the only lighting around the buildings is up by the leasing office and people are always walking around and hanging out that may not live on the property or may not be a visitor. I have seen multiple drug deals done on there back parking lot where it is dark. My 1st year the maintenance working was stealing from ppls I was told by a tenet not the leasing office. Only good thing is it's right off the highway. These are a very bad idea don't move in these!
Regret those apartments,Been There for 2 years paid rent on time never late. When i moved they charged me for issues to the apartment which wasnt new at all 1400 for a carpet and the carpet jus needed a cleaning maintanance was slow and people in office are very rude. They are scam artists so please don't move to these apartments.
The money that they are charging there are no amenities; club house, tennis courts/basket ball courts. No interacting with residents accept new policies and more money!!! Parking lot is a skating ring in the winter. No personal touch!!! Strictly business!!
was looking for any apartment and I came upon these ones. I see they are located close to the highway, but I ended up booking with Bermuda Heights apartments on springdale because it is so beautiful and its close to UMSL. I can literally walk to umsl in 5 min. For anyone looking, I would suggest checking Bermuda Hieghts apartments out i think it 7738 springdale. they just opened and they are right off of the highway on Bermuda rd..the staff at nor wood court are friendly.
