Woodland Park is a small, calm borough in Passaic County. The town is nestled in between the Garret Mountain and the Passaic River. Most of the neighborhood has a view of these natural landmarks. The community here spends their free time outdoors enjoying Mother Nature. The Garret Mountain Reservation is a popular recreation destination for Woodland park locals and visitors. This natural park offers a stocked fish pond, picnic areas, trails, basketball courts, and an equestrian center with horseback riding lessons. The mountain is a stopping point for migrating songbirds, making it a top location for birdwatching as well. Woodland is less than 15 minutes away from the famed Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. The Passaic Falls in this national park is a must-see.
