Property Ratings at Oak Brook Commons
I've lived at Oakbrook Commons for a total of six years....so far. Once 13 years ago and I returned in March 2021. I'm currently 50 years old and I will be perfectly happy if I didn't have to move ever again. The size of the apartments are larger than some houses. I love the layout and it feels more like a condo than an apartment. They were built so well that I can't hear my neighbors. Since I moved out the first time, I lived in other complexes and not one compared to Oakbrook in any way. The grounds are beautiful, the interior is so nice with extra touches like crown molding and California closets, real wood cabinetry and tiled floors. I have so much closet space, more than I had in my last house. There's a full laundry room and the size of each room is unmatched compared to other complexes. If you no longer want the responsibility of yard clean up, winter clean up, then this is the place for you. My calls for assistance have never gone unanswered. The office staff is fantastic. I feel like I have my own little gem and I'm lucky to live here.
My husband, daughter and I have been here for two years and absolutely love it!!!! From the wonderful staff to the attentive maintenance. This has been nothing but a positive experience from A-Z. The complex definitely has curb appeal as well. Many of our friends, family and co-workers have commented on how clean and well maintained it always looks year round. A few of the many big pluses are: we feel safe, the roads and walkways are cleaned in a more than timely manner during winter months and the development is very quiet. A wonderful place to call home indeed!!!
My family and I have moved into the oakbrook commons apartment complex a few years ago. All staff here is very good to us and always have smile to us when we go in. Oakbrook is such a wonderful home for us and we very thankful to be here. Such good people here.
My husband and I have been living here for five years and have been nothing but pleased with the apartment and staff. They are very responsive to any and all needs that arise - often responding the same day with maintenance requests! We have no plans to leave in the near future and would highly recommend this community to others.
Oakbrook is a great community with great neighbors . My daughter and I feel safe here. It looks beautiful even in the winter months and they do an excellent job keeping the roads cleared for me to get to work & daughter to school. I can't express how greatful I am to the maintenance staff here, everything I've needed has been taken care of and I've never felt like I am a bother to them. If you are considering living here then you are making an excellent choice.
We lived in this complex for two years. We abided by our lease agreement to vacate the apt with proper notice. During the time we lived there we paid our rent on time and only requested maintenance attention when plaster and cracks appeared in several rooms. After less than a year, stains appeared in various rooms. Management called in an outside contactor who told us in his "professional opinion" the rug was 10 to 15 years" and the stains. "were coming from the old dirty padding." One Sunday we experienced a blow back from the heating element causing soot to escape from the heating and cover two rooms furniture and walls. Once again an outside contactor solved the problem with a complete cleaning. Recently, we recently received our security deposit, minus 200.00 which was explained by charging us for a dirty rug and burning candles. We have chosen to not dispute their lies, but instead use every apt website available too alert as many people to the their practices. BEWARE of the woman who is the "Property Manager." She will do anything, including lying to withhold any part of your deposit. SHAME on the well known Clifton Park owner of this property to permit this power starved woman to treat honest people with such disrespect.
