Property Ratings at Oak Creek
I thought I would like living here because the grounds seemed decent, the staff was friendly, the property was budget friendly, the more recent reviews were mostly pleasant, and the unit I was shown was actually nice. BOY, WAS I WRONG!! I waited a week to move in from the time I was approved and the unit I was given was still uninhabitable. There were roaches everywhere, even on the ceilings. The caulking was cracked and molded. The unit and backyard were FILTHY from the previous unit (including remnants of their drug use). There was also extreme water damage and warped carpentry throughout the unit. These were all major health concerns for me and dogs (ESAs). The property manager is the one who worked with me through the entire process of leasing, she knew of the unit’s condition, never disclosed it to me, and still leased me the unit. I was forced to sleep in my car after I was denied a new unit, hotel voucher, and being released from the lease. At first, I was told I had to wait at least a week before the unit could even be looked at. It ended up being longer. The repairs only began when I called code compliance. They were sure to have them done before the code compliance officer could even walk the unit. The code compliance officer asked for pictures of the unit that she then showed to the property manager and told me she was “surprised” that her team gave me the unit in that condition and didn’t tell her anything about it needing work still. I feel that was a facade because she knew about the previous water damage. If not, then she’s leasing units without doing any quality assurance checks on what she’s having people live in. I was told pest control only comes on Tuesdays which (at the time) was another week away and I’d be forced to continue sleeping in my car because I “hadn’t mentioned sleeping in my car until recently”. Corporate is only looking to “remedy the situation” as to avoid letting me out of the lease. My entire experience in this ordeal has been so subpar and traumatizing, no amount of repairs could make this property livable for me. I am still advocating to be released from the lease and any liabilities because I paid for this unit and have not been able to live in it for more than 2 weeks (since I got the keys). Please save yourself the stress and just find a better place to call home. Would give 0 stars if I could!
Management is never on top of fixing problems. Neighbors that just moved in do drugs and have a poor dog on their porch all day. Apartments Broken into. New neighbors Alex have random parties?people in and out all the time. Maintenance Never follows up on work orders. This is my last month here. Do not waste your money here. Yea it is cheap, but poor living conditions.& Old & out dated buildings.
Been 1 week since we’ve had hot water. No rush to fix it. Trash EVERYWHERE, roaches in clean apartments, kids running around everywhere, staff is never in office. Save your time & a headache.
I moved here on July 1st from six hours away. We chose this location because of the low crime. The trash is picked up on a regular basis and there is no graffiti in the neighborhood. Laura, the assistant manager, was very attentive, helpful and dedicated to helping us qualify and move in here. Pablo, the manager is also very friendly and attentive. We have been here for 12 days, there are no bugs anywhere inside of our apartment. One spider hitched a ride in my boxes, but other than that, no bugs. The apartment was in good condition and clean when we moved in. The a/c is very cold and the shower has good water pressure. I have requested a screen for my bedroom window. That is the only flaw. The neighborhood is safe. There are no loud cars playing loud music. The apartments are well insulated between floors. We are not bothered by any noises from neighbors. There are kids who play in the parking lot, but they have good manners. I think this place is a gift from God and a perfect experience for our first San Antonio apartment. There is a beautiful dog park and a creek. Lovely grounds.
Two months ago new management came. The manager is incompetent and will look down on you. The other office people are very nice! But they are trying to over charge . DON’T MOVE HERE
The staff is useless. They never react properly.since I moved into apartments still I am waiting for my mail box key to repair and there is a hidden repairs everywhere for example dishwasher, bathroom tap, patio door and if you raise a request they will say we have only one maintenance stuff.I don't know what they mean by that, They know they have lot of useless buildings, so they has to hire one more guy or has to fix properly. Don't move here to waste your time and money even If you want to move here ask them to add one note saying that if they won't attempt the maintenance with in 5 days after complaint, ask them to remove the particular month rent so that you can see there commitment.
I went to look at several SA apartments and really liked Oak Creek. The community was beautiful, the office staff seemed very nice. Alba showed me an apartment and if I end up relocating, this is my top choice.
Don't even bother with this place. Yes it's cheap rent, but your hot water always goes out, maintenance takes 2-3 weeks to fix something, no amenities, and the pool looks old and is always dirty. Complaining to management is a waste of time. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Megan Lindsey I had to call the police today (5/26/2017) about 5pm to assist me in the leasing office due to the fact that I have a work order in that is in regards to the safety and health and overall well being of my family and I. As to which this order had been is for 44 days today in addition i was told. Because I was recording the conversation I was not allowed to be in the leasing office to get this issue resolved. They do not take care of their current residents and they do not want to help. I would post the recording of the conversation when I can to show that I am not just some upset women. I have emailed the Property manager 4 times called corporate office twice, made a complaint to the BBB, and the attorney general's office. I also went in person o the office within 30 days five different times to see where my work order was. They said they were understaffed and could not work on it however they had men working on the apartment next to me for a week completing a apartment to make it ready for the next residents. If an apartment complex does not take care of it's current residents why would te take care of future residents? - just a thought. My son's bedroom window is completely cocked shut. He is only six months old. So if there was an emergency he would not be able to break the glass or break through. that is only one of the issues we have been trying to get repaired. 44 days is more than enough time to get that one part repaired. They have no excuse for this type of treatment, neglect or mismanagement.
I wanted to commend and thank Ms. Stupors for her help at Windrush when she was helping out in the office. She is a very understanding and kind person. I am very pleased with her work ethics. I also have a friend I work with that is currently living in Oak Creek and Ms. Stupors was so helpful when she was going through a time in her life. Thank you for having such a wonderful person on your management team. I would recommend Windrush and oak creek apartments to anyone.
I enjoy where i live cause evertthing is convetient. I also love the staff that works here n management. Its a smaller complex n is somewhat quieit. Its a family liviing site. Also, my one bdrm is pretty spacious. N nice floor plan.
