Hillsboro, Oregon, lies tucked away in the Tualatin Valley, along Highway 26, about 20 miles from Portland. Hillsboro attracts residents and visitors alike with its lush Northwest scenery, its proximity to both Portland and natural wonders like Mount Saint Helens, the Tillamook State Forest and the Oregon Coast. You'll find Hillsboro to be a very low-key respite to the larger and denser Portland.
Southeast Hillsboro contains mostly residencies and some small business along its main artery, the Highway 8. Unlike the area's more urban neighbors, Southeast Hillsboro's blocks contain just as many open fields and agriculture as they do houses. Open spaces abound in this neighborhood. Like many of Portland's suburbs, Hillsboro contains numerous technology manufacturers. Intel's has numerous factories and campuses in the suburbs west of Portland, including in Hillsboro.

Property Ratings at Oak Glen Apartments
Upstairs neighbors throw stuff at the ground and stomp around and yell all hours of the day and night. Their kids walk down stairs and stand on the back patio and look into your apartment. Went to management about their nose and yelling and nothing was ever done. You can hear their whole conversation from the apartment below. Management has never once acted like they care. I would have moved out a year ago if I could have.
I dont know who gave this place 5 stars, but its a flat out lie. Their "annual" maintenance inspections happen every month, or every other month. I was 2 days late on rent, because of a legitimate family emergency, and somehow in those 2 days I had somehow managed to have $75 added to my rent, which surprised me because they said since it was my first and ONLY time (last month off residency) that i wouldnt be charged anything extra. Then When time to move in, I wasnt aware of the 30 day notice, Im prior military and lived in the barracks, so I didnt know. BUT SOMEHOW they felt it is ok to charge me $400 for the few days over I went. Which at the time of my lease, rent was lower. So the extra $400?...about half my monthly rent for 4 days extra. NONE of the move in discrepancies were ever taken care of even when I brought it to their attention a 2nd and 3rd time. The heat is unbearable, even in the winter. My heaters have been turned off since I moved in, and I have a year round AC unit in my window because if I don't, the temp will jump up to 85-90 degrees within the hour. Brought that up to them 3 or 4 times as well, and it was completely ignored. This place is a joke.
I love my apartment! I searched many before finding this one and I love it. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is great, and I feel very comfortable here. The apartment comes with a full size washer and dryer, which makes life so much easier. There is also a nice workout room, a nice pool and a lovely community room to hold small events should a person choose to do so. The complex is pet friendly and I love taking my pup for walks. I've met many nice tenants via our walks. The apartments themselves are solid and I rarely hear anything outside of my home. There is a lot of storage and the rooms are of good size. I would recommend Oak Glen apartments to anyone looking for a nice, clean, and friendly place to live!
I have never had an issue that wasn't quickly resolved by management. The ladies in the office are very nice and are knowledgeable about any questions I have ever had. Only issue I have is the cost of rent, but it is pretty standard to other apartments in the area. Overall happy with the apartments.
