Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we appreciate the feedback, we're disappointed that your living experience hasn't met your expectations. Please contact the office so that we can rectify this issue right away.
Do not rent this apartments. I've lived here for over a year and the apartments are infested with mice. Management is aware of the issue and they do not inform tenants during lease signing. They are also complacent with it as they blame it on the hills and do not have any one contracted full time to control the situation. About car break-ins, instead of hiring security, they expect you to buy cameras and watch your car from your apartment. Even when assigned parking is not visible from your apartment. Be warned.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Due to the nature of your concerns, we feel it would be best if we spoke with you directly. Please give us a call when you have a moment so we can address your concerns. -The Team at Oak Hills Apartments
I have been living at the Oak Hills Apartments complex for five years and it's awful! Sierra Pacific Properties manages this complex & several others. Do not rent here, as the place has a lot of crime, and the management team does nothing about that and other issues. We had a homeless person sleeping on our front porch and I had to call the police to get them off the front porch so I could go to work. So much for the security patrol in the complex. The mail boxes get broken into all the time too. We have placed numerous noise complaints against people partying, acting crazy, and or playing drums, and management does nothing about it. They say it's a police problem but really who is enforcing the lease we all sign pertaining to noise? Our air conditioning unit broke on August 15, 2020 during the heat wave. I asked when it would be fixed and the management team said they had know idea. They told me my air conditioning unit is not an emergency and they would not reimburse for a motel room, or deduct money off our rent for the issue. I had to run to the store and by fans. The Upstairs apartment is at 98 degrees. I was just told by the apartment complex that other tenants air conditioning units are broken and some have been waiting for two weeks to get them repaired. I was told that in my lease that air conditioning is not an emergency repair, and that it's a "Luxury" to have one. I was also given a list of cooling stations to stay at. I cannot take my cats to a cooling station, and I pay lots of rent $$$ to stay at my apartment not a cooling station. I have congestive heart failure so I cannot be around people at a cooling station during a pandemic. The management team keeps sending me copies of my lease and telling me the air conditioning is not a priority. Rather than taking responsibility for their broken equipment they keep referring me to my lease. I was just told that Sierra Pacific Properties, Inc. only has two maintenance staff that are licensed to fix air conditioning units for thousands of apartment units they manage. What type of dump organization does that to their customers, I’ll tell you, Sierra Pacific Properties does. Sierra Pacific will not outsource repair services to a business that can handle the volume of air conditioning unit repairs. These guys are cheapskates and only want their rent money which they raise each year, but they won’t fix anything!

The people in the office are you joke they will smile in your face and backstab you a lot of the times .The only thing apart about the apartment as good as it is close to the BART .station .Other than that save your money move somewhere else. Glad I’m out of there would never recommend that place for my dog to live in. I lived on that property for a year and a half and glad I’m out of there once you move out of there they send you bills 6 to 7 months later saying you owe all these different people and for a cleaning and for this and for that making up things they are a rip off .I guarantee you whenever you move out of there you will get about 10 different bills from different companies .They will saying you owe Oak Hill still for whatever reason they are a rip off do not move there keep your hard earned money . Overweight Lady Jessica will smile in your face and then rip you off a soon as you turn your back she’s a cheat and a sneak don’t be fooled by the smiles that they give you when you walk into that office
I lived here for four years paid on time and was very clean. Management left a dead hawk on my roof for a month. They never replaced the wood on the railings and I almost fell trying to hold a slippery railing when it was raining. The neighbors patio was dirty and brought bugs and when I moved I got screwed out of my deposit. These people are unethical rip offs, however you reap what you sow
I paid extra for a fully remolded apartment and it is nice inside, but it does not save you from mice or coach roaches. It is a gated property, but at least a couple times a week it remains open on the incoming side (not sure why) or you will consistently be tailgated in. Many times I have found the walk in gates being propped open as well. Most of the renters seem considerate, but there are people who race through so be careful around turns or walking around. In the summer there is a constant loud noise of the AC/fans being ran so if you want your windows open prepare for a loud noise and yes, it can be heard even with windows shut. Within months they raised the garbage rate 2 times and their price increases still continue. Errors even in auto-payments will carry $100 charge and no there is no one time consideration. I am still a tenant because of location so i am not writing this is haste. Best thing I like is the storage closet on the deck - very convenient and the worst is I do not feel as safe as it claims to be.
I like this place, but after 2 years of renting here we're going to have to move...rent is too much. We are in a 1 bedroom and they want to raise it to (pretty much) $1,600. We live in the downgraded unit (which has the older cabinets/counters/fireplace & just the W/D hook-ups). Guest parking sucks because the residents use the parking spots for their 2nd/3rd car(s). It has a storage room on the patio which I love. Very close to Safeway (which is always packed) & BART. I would recommend this place to someone (who can afford it ??).
I am on my second lease with this complex and by far it was the biggest mistake. They lie about everything. My car was stolen right from my parking space. I asked them to check the cameras, since there were signs everywhere stating that they had them. I was informed that they "hadn't gotten around to installing them." Then someone tried to break into my house around Christmas, and the leasing office tried to cover it up when I called the police saying he was just trying to get his toy plane that flew into a tree. Funny thing was, there wasn't a tree nearby or a toy plane. This place is over priced for the service we have had to put up with. They still have yet to fix the microwave that we put in months ago with matainence. They have had to fix the AC multiple times and replace the refrigerator because everything breaks down here. Everyone is getting priced out of these apartments. This place is not for everyone.
Never thought I would be living in Pittsburg. I was convinced to rent at this property because it was recommended by someone familiar with the area and my comfort level. It's a gated community, which is really a false sense of security but in actuality it's a very safe place to live. The property is in walking distance to BART,which is really nice when you want to beat the nasty traffic to and from work. There are two pools here, which have showers to rinse off the chlorine. There is a very nice tennis court. The residents that I have met are very nice and polite. The thing I like the most about the apartment is the large personal patio and outside locked storage. Management and maintenance is hit and miss. Organization is not a strong point. All in all, I would rent again.
I commute to San Francisco and have found that Oak Hills Apartments are fantastic and easy. I walk across the street to BART . I walk across the street to shop at Safeway, get a haircut, great Mexican food and a few fast foods. The weather is great and with two pools and hot tubs, I am in heaven. I have a one bedroom top floor which I highly recommend if available. Vaulted ceilings makes it feel very spaces. Fireplaces, washer and dryer in unit. The staff is extremely friendly and when something needs taken care of, it's done that day or the next. I am very very happy here. Being near the delta was a big draw for me coming from SF. It's great to see the water and feel the breeze.
