Property Ratings at Oak Knoll Apartments
units are filthy and roach infested quite badly. management NEVER comes to spray units or do any type of maintenance on their own. window ac units do not provide sufficient cooling. there is not enough parking for all the tenants and we are left parking in the driving area instead of an actual space. your car will be dented and dinged as a result. . and the window units are not new thermal panes. these units have been left to rot so that they will not have any choice but to be torn down as management wants to build brand new rental units here but the morningside community has voted against it and stopped any plans of building new units here. the ONLY upside to this place is that it is in midtown.
These apartments are practically uninhabitable. I thank god that we only had a 6 month lease, because this apartment has been a nightmare. When we moved in, the unit wasn't even clean... the hardwood floors were filthy and there was dust and dirt caked on the floor molding. As I cleaned the kitchen cabinets which had just been repainted, I came across several bugs that were underneath the paint, just painted right over. The roach problem is absolutely disgusting. I guess it's not that bad though if you don't mind waking up to one crawling on you in bed, or crawling all over clean dishes in the drying rack. The air conditioners were installed so poorly, especially the one in our bedroom. So poorly installed in fact, each morning we would wake up the find small pools of dead ANTS at the base of the air conditioner, and we would watch them crawl inside through the foil tape they used to try to cover up the gaps. Some maintenance workers also cannot grasp the concept of knocking and NOT opening unlocked doors and barging their way inside. We have only used the laundry room once, it was repulsive and bug infested and only a few of the machines actually worked. There are not enough parking spaces for everyone, I could go on and on. I wish I could warn every single person considering Oak Knoll to look elsewhere for somewhere to live. The cheap rent and location is enticing, but definitely not worth it to live in a disgusting roach infested hellhole. Take my advice, spend a couple extra hundred dollars a month to live somewhere nice. Absolutely no one deserves to live here.

Awful apartments in poor condition. You get ripped off for water and everything is constantly breaking.
