OTA have been so amazing to work with. I’ve never had an issue with management. Such a friendly environment to live in. Good job.
It’s rare they open it for the renters, it’s either close or they have it open in the morning and before 5pm it’s back to close. It’s sad to see families and kids super excited and the gate is close. At times people jump the fence to just enjoy a day in the pool. Sometimes they say they’re cleaning the pool but really does it need to be close for weeks and several hours. The dog park is not really a dog park it’s just a very tiny square w a gate. Tennis court without the nets or nothing, basketball court has no basket.
I'm sitting in my apartment in the dark without electricity because the management switched out meters without telling anyone the lights would be out. The job didn't get finished and half the building is without power. I only know what happened because I called AEP myself. They are terrible communicators and act like they are doing you a favor by letting you live here. No watering the grounds and the place looks terrible.
First if you see lots of good reviews they straight up called people asking them to leave reviews. Just look how close all the dates are. They are super annoying and unprofessional. Took forever to kick out a troublesome neighbor needing to have the cops come at least 7 times and him threatening to fight me before they decide to kick him out. This guy was a nut slamming on his celling and we reported it to the managers at least 10 times with them basically doing nothing. They will also try to nickel and dime you for every cent you have, no matter how good a tennant you may be. Best look somewhere else!
Oak Terrace has been an absolute wonderful place to call home. Our family has been very happy and satisfied since our move here. Staff has been wonderful and townhomes well maintained. ?????
These were my very first apartments and I lived here for 9 months and my experience here was the best! The office staff is very friendly and very helpful. They have the maintenance crew on top of everything in case anything needs fixing, they always keep the pool, play area, and parking lots clean. Everything is great here I would really recommend it to anyone. I would move back here if I had to.
They were not only informative, professional and prompt, but they went above and beyond to help me move in and facilitate all my concerns. I would give more stars if I could! The property is wonderful, managers and maintenance folk are great and overall, this is a tremendous place to live thanks to the dedication and attention to detail provided by the Oak Terrace staff.
I have never felt so screwed over by anyone before. I wake up with morning after receiving a notice saying to park in ANY available parking area and woke up to my car being towed for the second time with no warning. It was parked right in front of my apartment. Only after I called the managment to complain did they start going door to door asking people to move their cars. They said sorry too bad about your car. I am shocked at how this place treats their paying residents. I'm disgusted. My friend who also lives here is holding out til the lease is up because shes been living with wet moldy carpets in her apartment as well as using window units because issues arent being resolved. When issues are addressed, staff is extremely rude and snobby. These people don't care about their tenets. Don't move here.
I have lived at Oak Terrace for the past 2 years and I simply love it! I came aboard to the property when it was privately owned but with the new management in place things have gotten so much better! We have two functioning pools, fitness center, business center, laundry facility. The amenities are always clean. The maintenance crew is on top of things and get their job done. The Property Managers Elizabeth and Nancy are friendly and efficient. The apartment complex is now a gated community and all resident feel safer.
Living here for a year now, apartment management is horrible. Very rude. Apartment has a plumbing issue and gets clogged every now and then. Was left in sewage overnight twice already. In one instance maintenance didnt know what to do to unclogg the line. This affects two other apartments before mine as well. Plumbing company came out and advised me line was collapsed underground creating the issue. Issue was not resolved. Access panel was put in my living room. Second time the line got clogged was at night so we call the emergency number. Maintenance came and told us he would unclogg it in the morning even though the access panel was there and it's the only way to unclog the line for all three apartments. Was left in sewage smelling apartment.
They look nice but try to see through it. The AC leaks water and they cant fix it after several attempts. The washer and dryer are basically worthless. The water coming out of the sink smells like sewage. The fridge does not have a proper seal and is constantly wasting energy. The stove does not work correctly, out of the 4 burners on the top only two work. The floor in the bedrooms creak and squeak with every step. The outside smells like marijuana at night. They are one of the few places that don't care if your a felon, think about that families. They will charge you $25 if you don't answer the door when they knock. The management is the least professional I have ever seen. Stay away! There are way nicer and less expensive apartments!
What they don't tell you is that you will be bilked out of all or part of your security deposit regardless of how you leave your apartment. There is no respect here for the Texas Property Code. I waited over 50 days to get my security deposit returned only to discover that 39% of it had been robbed by the management. I'd been told that I would have my security deposit returned in 2 to 3 weeks when I turned in my keys. Nothing was said about a deduction. It would have made no sense, since I left the place in better shape than it was when I moved in. There are better places to live. Apart from the deposit scam, the apartments are getting old and in need of repair and the plants and lawn is not taken care of. The laundry room is horrid. Half the machines don't work and the dryers don't dry.
Very pet friendly and good staff. Apartments do need to be renovated carpet really ruff and there is a spider problem outside the building. There are webs all over the place

We are simple people with a simple life and we have lived at our apt complex for 13 years and although we would have loved to own a house this has been a very quiet and fun place to live that we call home.life is good but we could really use a break with free rent for a year. Hope we win thank you.
