Property Ratings at Oak Tree Apartments
It's ok, you get what you pay for. Walls are paper thin so I hope you have good neighbors. Hopefully you don't need to call maintenance for anything either, because they tend to half-fix things.
Pros: The rent is affordable, but you do pay for hot water and electric separately. There are washers and dryers conveniently placed on each floor, and plenty of parking available in the lot. The living area and bedrooms are spacious. It is located in a relatively convenient area. Cons: Sometimes drain gnats come out of the kitchen and bathroom sinks. They don't hover near the trash or food, but instead fly randomly throughout the apartment. The kitchen is very small and does not have much counter or cabinet space. The windows are very thin and you can hear them shake when it is windy. If it's a windy night, the windows bang loud enough to wake you up. (I honestly thought someone was knocking on my door.) The windows do not provide much separation from the cold weather.
I HAVE BEEN A RENTING MY 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT AT OAK TREE APARTMENTS FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY ACCOMODATIONS THERE. THE 2 BEDROOM APARTMENTS ARE VERY SPACIOUS, TO BE HONEST IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND THIS TYPE OF SQUARE FOOTAGE FOR THIS PRICE. THE NEWLY RENOVATED UNITS ARE MODERN, WITH AN UPSCALE LOOK AND FEEL TO THEM. THE APARTMENTS ARE CONVIENTLY LOCATED WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (BUS/TRAIN), GIANT FOODS GROCERY STORE AND WITHIN EQUAL DISTANCE BETWEEN BALTIMORE PIKE AND MACDADE BLVD RESPECTFULLY. IN MY OPINION, OAK TREE APARTMENTS IS A GEM IN THE DELCO AREA, GIVING YOU THE BEST QUALITY APARTMENTS FOR THE BEST PRICE. CHRIS T.
Moved in last December, I have been very happy. The apartments are HUGE and love not having to do the steps to do my laundry. I have great neighbors, thankfully they help me out by accepting my packages when I'm not home and watching my daughter if its to cold to bring her out. we really enjoy living here.
I have lived at Oak Tree Apartments for a year and a half and I must say I have no complaints. The school district is good, especially compared to surrounding areas (Upper Darby, Lansdowne, Yeadon, Chester) and the area is quiet and friendly. My bedroom is huge (Queen bed, armoir, 2 night stands, long dresser and mirror with plenty floor space left to spare) and very affordable. The living room/dining room area is also a very nice size. The maintenance is very nice and always willing to help. Never had any problems with neighbors. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are two reasons. 1. The kitchen in the 1br or 1br with den is small. Extremely small. 2. The complex will send notices threatening eviction if you are late by 2 days. For example If rent is due the 1st and you give it the 3rd you will already have a notice threatening eviction. But other than that I would highly recommend.
Ive lived here for 3 years and I love it. It is quiet, peaceful, safe, very private and there is laundry facilities on every floor. There are 4 apartments per floor, safety fire doors on each floor as well. Maintenance comes quickly to fix any problems. Great place, and great location.
The apartment is nice enough for the area, the location is mildly inconvenient being between two trains and off a major roadway. The area has a lot of shopping and restaurants near by, and lots of public transportation. The apartment manager is only slightly helpful, and will occasionally respond to requests for maintenance if she feels like it. The maintenence man himself is very nice and if you put in a request they will usually respond within 24 hrs. However, you have to figure out the right number, which is not on their website. The apartment itself is ok, but there are definitely a few problems. Some of the security doors don't lock, and the front doors only stay closed if you lock the deadbolt. The paint job is pretty bad, there's still the stars and the out like of a tree on the walls. The hot water is available sometimes, and doesn't like to stay hot, or gets too hot and burns you. Showering can be challanging, and laundry is best done at a laundromat due to unreliable machines. The walls are fairly thin, so it can sometimes sound like a herd of elephants is trampling through the apartment above you. I would not rent here again, the price for the actual apartment is not worth it.
