I've lived here since June 2020. After a few weeks living here there was a moldy gaping hole in the bathroom leaking water everywhere. Took untill November to actually fix it instead of putting spackle over it. Just Christmas Eve someone stole my Catalytic Converter, O2 Sensor, put a hole in my fuel tank and drained it. Just walking through the various parking lots here I've noticed multiple cars with cut pipes hanging from underneath. I went to the office. Not only do they not care, they won't put out a warning to other residents to check there car putting everyone in danger. The management is so cheap they won't even put up fake cameras to deter theft. Also there foundation has heavy water damnaged that's painted over so who knows how safe the buildings are. Plus they stink. They smell incredibly bad. The halls smell like mold and urine. Plus there's been many times where they carpet in the hallway is soaked in water and squishes under your feet.

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustrations regarding your leak in bathroom. I understand it was fixed in June, but then leaked again in September. If there was a delay on these repairs, of course it was not intentional and we try to make repairs timely. We also understand your frustration regarding the catalytic converter, and we did send a letter to residents to notify them to take extra precautions, especially during this time of year, as crime rates tend to increase during holidays. South County police are also aware of the thefts of catalytic converters in south county area, and we are all working together to try and help by notifying our residents to use precautions, and to report any suspicious activity. Our property does have interior hallways and exterior building lighting that are on after daylight hours. We also have some cameras located on the property. We appreciate your concerns and will look into any additional lighting, that may be needed in areas. In regards to the hallways, we do address any issues as soon as we are aware, and encourage you to please report to the office anytime you have a concern. We appreciate you as a resident and will address any further concerns you may have.
Every buidling stinks like actually smells bad , there isn't enough parking, the office attendants are rude, the buildings are poorly cared for, of you live on the bottom floor the halls flood with sewage once a month, the washers and dryers never work, don't leave anything in you're car it will be broken in too, the storage units are also on bottom floor and again the sewage.
all of their common areas are filthy. Common hallways stink all the time and there is always some kind of leaks from apartments upstairs or in the storage area on the basement. If you rent an end unit, beware of the pumps running all the time when it rains. You won’t get any sleep. Laundry rooms are hardly ever cleaned. People had their clothes stolen from the laundry room. Bed bug is a common thing there. I stayed there for a year and after moving out had to throw away furniture. Those thing were there when we moved in. We never had this problem before or after, only during our stay there. Hot water is always an issue. The trash dumpsters are always overflowing and they just don’t want to add another pick up during the week. There is no rules as to having kids play in front of your balcony/patio, in the hallways or in between the cars. Calling the office or police won’t help. As soon as the kids see police arriving they run away.
Even though the storage units have been broken into multiple times, they do nothing. There is water damage in one storage basement that hasn't been touched in 2 years. Even though we've asked for the hole next to the steep stairs outside to be filled in, nothing. It is unsafe, they do not care if your neighbors or noisy or if the police are called out a few times a week by various tenants because of various other tenants. This place sucks you in if you have to find something affordable, but don't let it! Find somewhere else!
Just because they rent these apartments cheap, Kohner believes they don't have to take care of the tenants or the environment they live in. Besides the mold I find in my own apartment, and by the laundry room, there is virtually no up keep. They are short handed on the maintenance side, and vandalism occurs regularly.
Me and my boyfriend were excited to move after seeing the lively display apartmemt. Move in day we signed paperwork and then was escorted to the apartment. Stains all over the carpet even though it had been cleaned, visible dirt and little trinkets from the past tenants were found, drill holes in walls and to top it off we found mouse poop in the kitchen drawer and the ac wasn't working and the apartment's temp showed 90°! They said it couldn't be fixed till 4 days later because of the holiday weekend and it wasn't over 85° outside so it wasn't an emergency. The manager claimed everything was ready to go for us incling the ac as of the day prior. So they were ok with the place looking the way it did and us moving in still!!! So I said I want the money back for the check I just wrote since it is not up to par and we did not wish to rent with them any longer. They refused to give the security deposit back either even tho we did not end up moving in and the place was filthy!! Do not rent here. They took advantage of us and they will do the same to you!!!
