I’ve lived in the Oakland apartments community for about 2 years now and all I can say is I’ve had a wonderful experience. Starting from the welcoming management team, to the knowledgeable maintenance, they’ll do anything possible to make you feel at home. The rent is also very reasonable for it to be in the heart of Arlington. Along with that my 1 bedroom apt was actually so much more spacious than other places I’ve seen. Easy transportation along with convenient access to food and groceries nearby. You won’t be disappointed!

I'm really sad to leave the Oakland Apartment. I've lived here for 9 years now. I live in 1 bedroom apt and I love the fact that the living- room and bedrooms are spacious and it includes 2 walk-in closets. besides, the location is great for transportation. it is less than 10 mins ride to Pentagon and Pentagon City metro stations and there are several buses that run very often. Most importantly, the management in this community are very urgent when it comes to any maintenance request and they keep the environment clean and safe for the residences. in addition, the neighbors are very friendly, quite and honest. I have never lost any delivered packages. Thus, i highly recommend Oakland Apartments. I do not want to leave this community, yet i have to leave because of an affordable housing opportunity for me and my son.

I have lived here for almost three years and have really enjoyed my experience. You truly cannot beat the location itself. It takes about 4 minutes to reach 395. And the neighborhood is quickly developing. Walkable to many restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. And the grounds of the actual complex are impressively maintained by their landscapers. I really appreciate their dedication to the maintaining of all the green space here. Also, the staff here are always quick to respond to any questions and are very helpful. The buildings and the apartments themselves are clean and my unit was updated before my move-in which was great. Thank you Oakland for providing a great place to live these past 3 years!

I lived at Oakland Apartments for a little over one year. The only reason for moving was I finally found a reasonably priced apartment in close proximity to my office. The staff at Oakland are fantastic, especially the Property Manager Zulyeka and the Assistant Property Manager Jesse. Both are extremely affable and benign, and always willing to assist residents whenever possible. The Columbia Pike neighborhood is a promising area, and isn't too far from the Pentagon/Crystal City or Clarendon/Courthouse neighborhoods of Arlington. It doesn't have direct Metro line access, but there are multiple bus lines that can get you to many places in 20-25 minutes.

I’ve been here for 9plus yrs ,truly love the location,just minutes from Washington DC. The complex is very clean and quiet,the maintenance staff is courteous and helpful,Raquel is the most polite staff member I’ve seen.Would recommend for a first time person to live alone great atmosphere!!

I have been living here for about 8 months now. These are the best apartments I have ever lived at. Leasing office staff is awesome especially Zuleyka and Jesse are very understanding and helpful. I moved from across the country for a job offer into an area I was not familiar with and the entire staff at Oakland Apartments were so warm and accommodating, they made me feel right at home. Oakland Apartments is wonderfully located within walking distance of public transportation, restaurants, and other stores- They are also more affordable with about the same amenities than other options in the area. Jesse, Caesar, and the rest of the team are very attentive and efficient and have responded quickly with any needs for my apartment. It feels like I'm paying top dollar for the service I have received here. I have had a great experience living here and I highly recommend Oakland Apartments to anyone looking for their next home in this area.

I have been living here for a year and half and I plan to extend my lease even after this one ends. This is a great apartment complex! I have seen a few around Arlington at a similar price and Oakland is amazing in comparison! The manager and her team have been so cooperative with us and they are so much help! Caesar, Jesse, Zuleyka, & the rest of the staff & maintenance team are all very professional, efficient, and at the same time so pleasant and friendly. I would recommend Oakland Apartments to everyone.

The staff is always friendly receptive and professional. The addition of Mr. Jesse to the management staff has improved the office ANOTHER 100%. He compliments Mrs. Z. the resident manager very well.

None of the rooms look anywhere near this nice. The photoshopped micro furniture is a nice touch! Mice, roaches, and constant water shut off. Horrible old ac units and good luck being warm anytime before snow hits because they won’t turn the heat on any sooner. At this price....go find a mortgage payment worth making.

Im going to miss you all so much! -- They went above and beyond with any requests in my apartment. No issues with pests or noise. Engineers and porters always so nice and willing to give a lending hand. They even helped me changing a flat tire once. Clean Grounds and Excellent Management Team! Zuleyka and Adrian were amazing always available to everyone in the community! I will forever recommend Oakland Apartments to anyone moving to the Arlington, VA area.

I'm in my late 20s and was (at the time) living in the metro DC area for work. The only reason I left Oakland is because I am getting a house in another city with my fiancee. Oakland isn't a luxury apartment community - and they don't charge like one. They're welcoming and practical. I wanted the experience of living alone in a 1-bedroom but that's a pretty rare find in Arlington at any reasonable price. Yet, I was able to do so. And I will always be grateful. Pros: *Rent includes most utilities (I paid electric and internet separately) *The space was neat and clean when I arrived *I was allowed to paint my walls bright colors (had to paint them back, but that's pretty standard) *My neighbors were quiet and friendly *The landscaping is kept well *No pet rent for kitty (just a deposit) *VERY helpful front office staff and responsive maintenance team - Adrian and Cesar in particular were awesome to work with *Ample parking (at least by my building) *Adjustable radiator heat *Location and city/metro access via several bus routes Cons: -I had to get used to the sound of an AC unit above mine dripping onto mine (the best solution I found was to always turn mine on when the above one was on to drown out the sound) -There are large roaches OUTSIDE on the sidewalks at night in the warm weather --- I went for a long walk and investigated and found that this was a pretty widespread nuisance along Columbia Pike; but I did not see them in my home. I'm very tidy and did not live on the ground floor, so those may have been mitigating factors. I only saw one spider and one silverfish in my time there and both times, they immediately sent an exterminator to treat my unit just in case. -Shower window - I had to put up a sort of screen because you can see RIGHT through those things, especially at night. -No washer and dryer in-unit --- but it's nice that they offer the card system for their onsite facilities rather than just quarters. I could probably list a lot more positives, but I don't want this review to be too long. The bottom line is: it's a great deal for the money if you want a quality, affordable home without the expensive bells and whistles usually found in the area.

I have been here for almost 4 years now. The location is great, I can drive where I need to, or take the bus, which is right outside the complex! There are also locations that you can easily walk to, especially as Columbia Pike continues to develop. The management team is super helpful and very responsive and the prices are a good deal too.

Oakland Apartments are amazing! I love the environment and location! It is close to everything and is very convenient. The complex in general is very clean and updated. The residents are friendly and welcoming! I have been living here for 8 months and have not encountered one single issue. The staff is extremely helpful and amazing. Everytime I have needed something or just had a question they were very attentive, especially the front desk and management. The engineers and maintenance are also very helpful and polite. They respond quickly and are extremely respectful! I highly recommend them!

The management of this apartments invicted a family because their desaible son is too loud. What kind of people do that. I lived here a few years back and it doesn't surprise me my family and I hated living their manangement is HORRIBLE!

I have been living here for 7 years and I love it...When you come home,you want to unwind...At Oakland Apartments you will find plenty of spaces to do just that and your storage to store your stuff..Convenience and an ideal location to live,Work and play.Pentagon,Pentagon City,Clarendon,CourtHouse and Ballston are just a short drive away..Absolutely great location...The management and the stuff at Oaklands are amazing.Dawn to earth with outstanding service.I love this place with all my heart and their landscaping is beautiful,The grass is always taken care.Feel free to stop at the Rental office and they will all welcome you with a smile.I love ittt!
