Located about 27 miles northwest of Detroit, Pontiac is an up-and-coming city brimming with historic charm and a strong sense of community spirit. Named after a chief of the Ottawa tribe, Pontiac was once a center for automobile manufacturing. In fact, Pontiac built an array of cars, trucks, and the renowned bus Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks famously made history on.
After being hit hard by the Great Recession, Pontiac is on the rise. Numerous restaurants, companies, and amenities are setting up shop in Pontiac, including the M1 Concourse—an 87-acre playground for auto enthusiasts. Historic Downtown Pontiac has been revitalized, offering a slew of cafes, shops, and entertainment options for the community, like the historic Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts and the Crofoot performance venue.
A bevy of scenic parks provide plenty of space for outdoor recreation in Pontiac, such as Murphy Park, Galloway Lake Park, and Hawthorne Park.

Property Ratings at Oakland Hills Townhomes
Im starting to believe this place doesn't have a maintenance guy. I been needing one for two months and they just say he out sick
I do enjoy living at oakland hills townhomes. I have lived here a little over 2 years and do not plan on moving any time soon. The snow removal could be done quicker, but they do seem to get it done. I guess I understand that there are alot of homes here. I haven't had any problems with the staff, and I think the manager is just as sweet as can be. My work requests are always taken care of in 1 or 2 days. I would recommend this townhome to anyone looking in the area!
I would give this property zero stars but I had to chose one. Snow maintenance is horrible in the winter. ( You will be stuck in your house for days at a time) The after hours maintenance does not show up. There is also a bug problem. The leasing manager does not have leasing experience. Beware.
Can't complain about the neighborhood, but the apartment itself could've been designed better. It's a two-unit townhome wth front and back doors and private driveway. The two bedrooms are crampy which gives you little choice for furnishing. New windows were installed but may have a problem trying to lock shut. It has a basement where you can install washer and dryer. Overall the apartment is ok; perfect if you're single.
I have heard a lot of bad things about living and wanting to move to Pontiac,Mi. I finally gave it a try last year and it was horrible the whole situation and first experience. I than decided to try it again, so i inquired about Oakland Hills Townhomes and the office staff was so nice and curtious to me explained any and everything i needed to know and more. I honestly had didn't even want to try to live in this city again until i meet with the office staff. I hadn't moved in or even gave a down payment yet and they made me feel so welcome and comfortable that i made sure i was moving there. Right now til this day im happy with my home. The landscaping is beautiful, the neighbors and my home. Im most definetly at home here and glad i took a chance on trying again. Anything i need done is done almost immediatly with no questions asked. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a affordable home that's well kept and worth every penny. Good Job Oakland Hills!!!!!!!! (Chanell A)
Maintenance and customer service is horrible here! The neighbors are even worse!
