Property Ratings at Oakridge
The WiFi literally never works, can’t rely on it for home work, watching tv, or even just chilling on your phone. And when you ask them about it they just blame it on blue rim who has a 2 star rating. Maybe don’t use blue rim? They’ve had so many complaints but don’t do anything about it! Honestly it’s a constant head ache and it’s just because they want to save a few bucks. They promise “free fast speed WIFI” but the only true thing in that sentence is free.... a free 3 bars in the right hand of your phone that do nothing but look pretty. I don’t understand how a student housing complex can get away with having no WiFi when all the students rely on it for homework. My roommate will legit leave at night and go to Walmart to turn things in cause that’s the closest WiFi to us.
I have lived here for 3 years and have had nothing but bad experiences. The management is so entitled, you can tell by the way they respond to each review and justify each complaint instead of trying to fix anything. They got a new internet provider and it regularly goes down for several days at a time, and after an entire year they still only send out an email basically saying, "we know it's down, be patient", rather than getting a more reliable provider. I went to resign for my apartment and they let one of the office aides sign my room for the next year, so now I have to move to a new room. They close the pool for the "winter" at the beginning of September when it's still 80 degrees outside, because they're too cheap to leave it open any longer. I had an ant infestation in my room and when I put in a work order, they just left a can of ant spray at my door. They have cleaning checks but they sometimes don't even come check, then they will charge whoever moves in for the filth left there by the last resident, and they say the deposit is to pay for cleaning, but for the last 2 years my apartment wasn't cleaned before I moved in. I even had a huge mold problem in the shower when I moved in, and when I put in a work order they came and wiped the mold with a towel then left the towel on my counter. They will take every chance they can to save money, no matter how it effects the residents, and will take no actions to make the residents feel welcome. Please avoid signing a contract with them.
I have never lived in such a crappy place in my 4 years of college. The rooms aren't half bad and the location is great! However, these two factors do not make up for the cons....First, cleaning checks. Even if you actually do clean your apartment they will still fine you for the smallest and pettiest things. Plus, if you question management about these "fees" they will just be rude and turn everything back on you somehow - literally impossible to have a decent conversation with them. Which leads to my second point, management. They either know nothing or are so rude and unprofessional that you don't get the help you need anyway. Trust me, there are TONS of places better than this one...
Oakridge is a great place to live! You get your own bedroom and share a large bathroom with one other person. The staff is friendly and fix maintenance problems quickly and efficiently. There are many perks and amenities including free parking pass, laundry room, fitness center, and everyone's favorite, a pool and hot tub!
I am a current resident living at Oakridge apartments and I have been for 2 years now. I love Oakridge for many reasons but mostly because of the location. I am a student athlete at USU and I am always going to the stadium or to campus for school or for practice. Oakridge is the perfect location because it is very close to campus and even has a transportation bus that takes me to both locations which is very convenient for my situation. I also love living at Oakridge because of the package that comes with it. The pool and hot tub are ALWAYS full of people so it's really a great place to meet people and to have fun and relax.
I love Oakridge because its a super comfortable place to live. The staff is welcoming and happy to answer questions. They even have events for Halloween and the holidays. They have been great about keeping the property clean especially with all the leaves falling. And they always respond to maintenance and emails quickly. And they have great visitor parking which is hard to find on college campuses!
I really enjoy living at oakridge because it is fairly close to campus, but it’s especially close to the football field and the spectrum and I love going to the sporting events! Oakridge is also very good at helping with the needs of the people living here we needed something fixed so we requested it and it got fixed the next day!! It’s also a very social environment which tops it all off! I would definitely recommend living here!
One of the great things about living at Oakridge is how close it is to the USU campus. They have a bus stop that takes you straight to the campus (which is super convenient and also saves you some major cash because you don’t have to buy a parking permit for on campus parking). Also, the price of living here compared to on campus housing is such a better deal. You not only get a private room for about the same price as a shared dorm on campus, but you don’t have to purchase a meal plan. The staff and matience here is awesome too! Anytime I’ve had an issue they have responded to me within a day and sent someone over to fix whatever the issue was. Overall, I would recommend living here for its convenience, price, and the reliable staff.
Lived here for four years and definitely one of the most convenient places to live. Have private rooms, full kitchen, clubhouse, laundry, and bus stop to campus. Maintenance crew is quick when there's a problem and the community is awesome. Internet is spotty and isn't always the best, but you can still get by. The main reason for the low review is working with management. It is almost impossible to get in touch with the office without going in person, and when you do go in person they are either closed, it's holiday, or they are out to lunch. Cleaning checks are a joke and you will get huge fines on the smallest things, despite having them cleaned in preparation for checks. You will get charged for damages that have been there for years (again I've been here for four years in the same room and been charged for things already reported as damaged - multiple times). Their online system for leasing and paying rent is never organized. I've had "late charges" applied to my online account for no reason and when inquiring the office about it, just been told "don't worry about it, your account is up to date" only to be charged the lump sum at the end of the year. Sometimes the website has been down and I've had to call 4 and 5 times to pay rent, wait on the phone forever for a representative to pick up from their corporate calling system saying "we'll call you back" with no return call or response and only to find out I’ve been overcharged. Another time I went to the office to renew my lease and to double check my information was correct, they couldn't find my files and when they did for my room and year, it was all the wrong information. Great place to live but seriously poor management. Poor organization. After five months, they still haven’t got the correct rent as signed in my lease and it is now habit to have to call the office, verify my previous receipts, and ask them again to update their records to no avail. Unfriendly to work with. It has been four years and nothing has changed. The community and amenities are the reason I stay.
I like living at Oakridge! The layout of each apartment and the amenities that come with it are awesome! The pool and hot tub are definitely a plus, but super noisy at night. I would recommend Oakridge for anyone who is super social!
pros: social, but not TOO social; pool and hottub; clubhouse; private rooms; close to campus; cons: theres been a few issues with management; rundown apartments / old / gross; clubhouse amenitites are in very poor condition and some even unusable; laundry machines break frequently and don't feel like they get fixed; It feels like every week there is a new threat to get fined with something; there are very thin walls. I can hear everything that goes on around me. pretty awkward sometimes.
This place is run by people who have no idea what they're doing. When we moved in our apartment was a mess, mold growing, toilet was unhinged from the floor, and our microwave was broken. Twice within a week we requested maintenance and a couple hours later got a reply email saying "Maintenance has marked your request as Fixed" when nobody had come over to check the problem or even contacted us about it. When the maintenance dude finally did show up after multiple requests, all he had to say was "Well..... if it gets any worse let me know". The front office was never able to answer even the simplest of questions that they should know, such as "What is the process if I need to move out after this semester, halfway through my contract". They had to write down my name and have someone call me back 4 days later, then another person call me back an hour after that and correct what the first person said because it was incorrect. Lastly, they deal with problems on the property very childishly. Sending out a notification saying "Somebody thought it would be funny to run across the pool cover. Until the violators come and confess it was them, the pool and hot tub are closed". So because 1 person, who may or may not even live here, decided to be an idiot one night, they are punishing all 600 adult, rent-paying residents. I feel like I'm in 2nd grade again: "until somebody confesses to stealing the markers from the whiteboard, nobody gets to go to recess."
It is fun and social to live here! Rooms are set up nicely and amenities are relatively near to every complex.
I have absolutely loved living at Oakridge. I wanted a living environment that was social but not just crazy all the time. Oakridge is the perfect balance. I have met so many amazing people just from living at Oakridge! The management is amazing and are willing to work with you. I love it here!
Far enough away to avoid campus traffic but close enough to get to school quickly. Shuttle to school stops right in front of Oakridge so you dont have to worry about walking in the cold. Chill environment. Nice, well-maintained apartments. Not run-down like a lot of other student housing places in Logan for the same price.
I’ve lived here for two years and I’ve had no complaints! It’s a fun and social place to live. Definitely recommended if it’s your first time living in Logan.

oak ridge apartments so far is my favorite place I have lived at. the rooms are big the place just feels cozy and homey. I like the pool and the rec room. the only thing is that they follow campus housing rules.
Was given a tour and staff was incredibly helpful and the place looked awesome! pricing is perfect and i love the free laundry!!!
I can't say that I love this community anymore beginning this summer. In the previous years that I have lived here the management team was amazing. They were willing to go out of their way to help with whatever you needed and they had direct answers to several questions, and if they did not they would make the effort to find out. They just restaffed though and the new management is TERRIBLE!!!! They do not work with your needs and they seem to always have a problem with something that you have requested, the head of the complex Tilisa Lapuaho especially. They had the residents that were not going to live there for the upcoming year move out August 4th, but are not allowing the residents that are staying to move into their new apartments until August 20th!!! They never have any answers to any questions that I have and seem to just beat around the bush because they don't know. An individual that I know accidentally signed her contract saying that she would pay the 1 time payment of $1,6000.00 for the year but was not aware that she did so. She tried to contact them to ask them if they were able to change it over so that she was paying the monthly payments but they told her that was not possible. They then sent out an email 3 days later saying that that specific date was the last day that they could change their payment plan. THEY TOLD HER THAT IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE!! It's a click of a button! How could it be so hard! What if the resident wasn't able to pay the fee at the time! What if an emergency came up and they didn't have the money! Also, majority of the apartments have been redone, but the ones that haven't are disgusting. They do a terrible job at cleaning the apartments before the new residents move in but seem to do a great job at fining us when during the clean checks they see something that isn't up to par with what they would like. The new management staff has made my experience this summer miserable and if I hadn't already signed my contract for the upcoming year I would NOT be living there anymore.
This apartment complex is awful to live in. The walls are thin so you can hear EVERY noise that comes from the people surrounding you. The management conducts monthly cleaning checks which fell during dead week of both semesters. They also have a move out date the day after finals ends, which is crazy considering it is supposed to be student housing. The cost of the apartments seems great at first until you realize that half of the appliances don't work and most of the apartments aren't updated. The carpets are disgusting, the mattresses have stains on them, the toilet had a ring around it when I moved in. There is not always parking near your apartment since they have so much guest parking and not enough parking for paying tenants. Our shelves had hair on them when we moved in and the apartment was not nearly as clean when we moved in as they expect it when we move out. The hot tub is nice, but it is usually packed. The staff is nice, but they aren't always quick to resolve your issues when you contact them about it. The internet is incredibly slow and the company that provides the service is not usually very helpful in resolving the problems. When it snows, it gets shoveled into parking spots, so there is even less parking here during the winter. If you can find another place to live, I would strongly recommend it.
I'm unsure why there are some good reviews on here. Oakridge is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in for several reasons: 1. They hold cleaning checks. Cleaning checks are already a drag, but they always have THE WORST timing possible. They always hold a cleaning check during finals, both Spring and Fall semester. they have "white glove" checks and give you a cleaning packet that needs to be completed while you're right about to start finals. Are you kidding me? 2. For what you pay, you could get something a lot nicer and not have cleaning checks. a lot of the apartments are old, rundown, and have things about them that don't work. For example, the year I lived there we couldn't use our dishwasher one time because it was so old, there was mold growing in the bottom, and it made our dishes dirtier than they were before we put them in. 3. There's no guaranteed parking. Because of how many units and people that live in the complex, a lot of the time when you come home at night there's no where to park, or you have to park all the way on the other side of the lot. So inconvenient for the price you pay, once again
Oakridge has done an amazing job! They have provided very well for their residents and sldeserve great reviews!
Oakridge is a fun community where you can meet some new friends and is nice and safe and is pretty nice to live in.
Oakridge is a decent place to live for a college student, relatively lower rates as well as a private room and separate bathrooms. Provides a close place to campus, with free parking, and bus stop right out front. Insides are old and in need of some renovation. If you're looking for a nice place to live, but nothing luxurious, this is your place to live.
The best experience. Couldn't ask for better. The people are amazing and the apartments themselves feel like home outside of home. Would recomend this to anyone and I think it's great. Great price and convenient all around.
Great apartment for the price you pay. Quality and condition vary, but well maintained and close to campus. Seem to always be throwing fun dinners and parties for residents. Social atmosphere
I was not impressed with Oakridge Apartments. The Staff there is very unreasonable and unwilling to help you with any problem that arises, or there always seem to be a fee associated with any problem. The girl at the front desk is rude and not helpful what so ever. They can apparently walk into your room without prior notice or permission. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything above, below, and next to you. They don't plow the parking lot during winter so many cars get stuck. The units are very old, outdated, gross and over priced. Not impressed with the living conditions here. Wouldn't recommend.
The thing that's so great about Oakridge is that even though everyone has a private room, you still feel a sense of community. The buildings are set up in a circle with plenty of community activities that bring people together.
Oakridge is what typical student housing is like, nothing outstanding or amazing but it isn't the worst place to live in the world. During the school year a bus comes straight to the complex which is extremely useful. The pool and hot tub are always in good condition. The free laundry is great and is always available. The staff is prompt on fixing any repairs that you report. The common area in the club house is always clean. The apartments themselves are not the cleanest in the world. They could all use a really deep clean, including the floors. Everything is kept to the bare minimum before fore it starts to look awful. In the winter the heat is awful because the walls are so thin, but in the summer the air conditioning is great. The apartments could use an update in washing machines that work better to clean dishes. The social life is great, but it is never too loud to study. The people who live here are all generally polite. If there are any issues between roommates though the staff does not help at all in helping you find another apartment in the complex. But, for having all of the furniture you need included with all utilities and perks included it is a great deal and well worth the price.
