Property Ratings at Oaks Station Place
Thank You We were pleased with the prompt response to our maintenance request. Requesting assistance is easy online. The work was done quickly and efficently.
Amazing as usual Quick and thorough fix as usual, even if it was New Year’s eve day :) Thank you all!
Great Place to live! We have been living in Oak Station Place for five years! We love the location and its easy access to downtown, the Light Rail, and so much more. The people who share the building with us are pleasant and good company. The staff here are easy to relate to and respond quickly to concerns when raised.
Great team makes a great place to live! The Oaks team has always been responsive to any issues. The common areas are kept clean and the landscaping is lovely. My dog is welcomed at the office for a quick hello and a treat. Jess and Savanah are super friendly and easy to work with.
I love to live here! The management is awesome, the neighbors are kind & warm. It feels like home :)))
Great service Very happy with it as always. Helpful and quick service!

I lived here for 4 years and overall it’s a good place to live Pros: - Service requests are handled quickly and usually fixed the first time - Safe - they have a security guard nights and weekends - Convenient for buses and light rail - Great neighborhood - close to lakes, parks, Minnehaha falls, and trails - Great neighbors - Manager is nice and good too - the one who is manager as of this review - overall willing to work with you if you have issues - Amenities are great - Theater room, community car, fitness center, community room and patio area that can be rented for events, Luxer System for package delivery, underground parking (if you can get in, there’s usually a waitlist) - It’s pretty quiet there - I hardly ever heard anything from my next door neighbors nor those above me (I know others have left a review that you can hear everything….I don’t know where they got that, because I’ve never had an issue, see below for my one exception to this) Cons: - A fellow resident’s apartment was flooded and I don’t think they handled it well as they could’ve - Limited parking in the parking lot - and some spots are taken from Venn customers that don’t read that it’s permit parking only - I was originally told that utilities are just my apartment - but they are actually split (gas, water, and sewer) between all units depending on square footage. This is a minus regardless…but especially when you move out - when I hadn’t lived in the apartment for a month, I was still responsible for utilities which came out of my security deposit. So despite not living in the apartment, I still had a bill since it was split between all units - Speaking of noise - complaints about a very loud barking dog never appeared to be taken seriously and that was really frustrating - If you break your lease early, you have to pay for it. Not only do you give 60 days notice and have to pay for that 60 days - that part I understand. But you also have to pay an additional 2 months of rent as a penalty. A company like this is big enough that they don’t need my money for an extra 2 months. That’s 4 months of rent, which is a lot and ridiculous in my opinion. Life happens and sometimes people need to leave earlier than expected (my lease was up in December and I couldn’t wait that long and when it was coming due the previous December, I wasn’t thinking I’d move anytime soon). This is the main reason it lost 2 stars. I wanted to try to email the owner, so I hope he reads this

Place is a joke. Residents have no priority for parking here they just keep reducing parking.

S Schuch in the last week Oaks Station Was a fantastic place to live. It was quiet, clean, and had a great community of people. It is incredibly pet friendly and dogs will have no shortage of friends. The amenities are very nice, particularly the community room and patio. The location is perfect with the transit center for easy commuting and the gorgeous biking/walking trails nearby. It was my favorite place I have lived and I would not have left if work had not taken us away from Minneapolis.

Thank you for the nice review! We are so happy you enjoyed your home here at Oaks Station Place! If you ever move back to the area, we would be happy to have you back in our friendly community!
This is the perfect complex if you want a quick walk or bike to parkways & trails. Complex is close to public transit as well as stores, restaurants and has outdoor space with barbecue grill for personal or community events as well as community room & theatre room and your furry friends are allowed. The building is well maintained and staff are very friendly and helpful. Each unit comes with washer & dryer, dishwasher, central air/heat. My unit has huge walk-in closets. I call it my little Park Place in the city.

My first reaction when viewing my apartment unit was how small it was for a one bedroom and not too happy about the dark colored paint on walls which makes unit look smaller, but I have grown to love my little space. Positives: The apartment complex is close to several parkways, trails, public transit, stores, restaurants, etc. Each unit has washer & dryer, central air/heat, building is pet friendly to all size dogs & cats, most of my neighbors are very friendly and courteous. Maintenance staff are very friendly and hard working. New leasing manager is friendly and so far seems to be a big plus to the complex. Complex has exercise room, community room, media room as well as wifi if you are in the right area of the building. Tenants pay for all utilities, water, sewer, trash, heat, electric. Negatives: The building for the most part is quiet but with every complex there are always a handful of people that make apartment living negative. Living by the parkway and public traffic also has it's negatives with a lot of people traffic that frequently hang out in complex front entrance. Rent goes up every year which is the norm now-a-days but I wasn't happy about the huge rent increase I received this year. Unit & Hallways need a good coat of new paint hopefully lighter colors so the complex doesn't look so dark & small. Apartment units carpets as well as hallway carpets need to be shampooed and front entrance needs to be converted where people cannot access the front entrance.

Oaks Station Place is the perfect place for me! The modern amenities and the VERY CLOSE proximity to the light rail only enhanced my pleasure in living at this community. From the spacious apartments, to the very well decorated Community Room and Theater Room, the 2 (TWO!) dog runs and the great staff sets this place apart from other apartment complexes. The staff knows you and makes you feel right at home! I think for my first year living here, I could not BELIEVE that I lived here....lol

This place is a hidden gem in the south Minneapolis area. It's literally right off the light rail and bus transfer station, making it very nice for a work commute if a car isn't an option. The staff is great and very helpful. It's always so clean and any service requests are fulfilled in a day. It's pet friendly and they're always hosting events to meet your neighbors.

I have lived in the building a while. I really love it! The building does allow dogs which comes with the good and the bad. The bad, the landscaping and grass can suffer from so much urination. the good, you have a dog! I haven't noticed lots of noise from the dogs, but I have heard them. I mean... this is an apartment so you will sometimes hear your neighbors. The management seems to be trying hard to make the apartment very comfortable. Most people generally keep to themselves, but the outgoing neighbors are friendly. The maintenance of the building is taken care of by a husband and wife couple that are wonderful. They are super friendly and I look forward to seeing their smiling faces and helpful attitudes. The neighborhood is generally safe and I do not know of any incidents involving crime since I have lived here. The lightrail can bring some “undesirables” to the area, but keeping alert and aware will keep you safe. Speaking of the lightrail, this is a wonderful feature of the location of this property and the main reason I chose to live here. The lightrail is literally a couple of dozen steps from the front door. When I first moved to the area I thought the lightrail would be loud. I couldn't have been more wrong. If you are VERY quite in your apartment you might be able to hear the bell of the train, but generally I never hear the train. I'm trying to think of the bad parts of the building and if I had to pick one it would be the parking. Parking is only bad if you don't have a spot. Parking outside is very limited. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone working on or near the lightrail.

Visited complex. Overpriced units. TERRIBLE parking - no parking essentially other than long wait list. Soundproofing for outside noise was successful, but soundproofing should have been addressed inside. Lots of yapping dogs as we walked the corridors. Office staff does not answer telephone on weekends, and no one has returned my call three days later. Not worth it just to be on the light rail line.
Property Manager at Oaks Station Place, Responded To This Review
I live in the building and I have no problems communicating with the office. I think the prices are reasonable (you get what you pay for, quality costs a bit more). I don't hear any dogs inside my apartment. Not once. I have heard the dogs when in the hallways, but since I have an apartment here, I generally spend my time inside the apartment and not in the hallway. You are right about the parking... kinda terrible. But I feel your review is a bit unfair. Oh well... I hope more reviews come in because I love it!
