Don’t move here. When u call the corporate office, all they do is take ur number and u NEVER get a return call. I’ve also emailed them with no response. Putting my rent in escrow!!
Do not, I repeat do not move here! Horrible experience!! Parking lot is so dark, my car was broken into! Very unsafe! My sink has a disgusting stain in it and it was never repaired, my patio fence was leaning and never repaired! My electric bill was extremely high, I had to buy a space heater to hear my unit!! The bushes are very over grown! Just down right rip off!

My wife and I lived in these apartments for a year. We moved out in April and waited for a month for our deposit. After we never received it after a month I decided to call and they said it should be coming, now it’s August and we still haven’t received our deposit and they have now cut off communication. I’ve called over 20 times and I cannot get anyone to answer. I have since found out that this is happening to many people who have lived in Apartments owned by this company. We were good residents and were told that we were receiving our full deposit back so there is no reason why we still do not have our money.

This complex replaced the windows and sliding glass doors when I lived there and raised my rent to pay for it and that caused the entire apartment to be extremely cold in the winter and hot in the summer. My electric bill would be an average of $230 a month which is ridiculous. They also never kept up the grounds properly making it look terrible and run down half the time. Plus shingles from the roof would fall every time there was rain of any kind.

When I first moved in I absolutely loved the space, but it quickly became not worth it. Our door was broken for over a month and took several calls to get maintenance to come, and we have had several leaks that took them forever to fix as well. One of our leaks got fixed, but they never came to fix the ceiling so there’s a hole thats been there for months now. Our privacy fence fell and they said they would fix it, but then told us it would probably be over a year before the fix. They also never opened the pool (while COVID was happening but they could have opened it and set rules) but we still pay the same rent. Oak wood is a cute little area but if you can’t fix things easily by yourself it’s a nightmare.

Management is unreponsive. I had a hole in my floor, and nobody came to fix it. I asked management to fix it multiple times. I am currently taking them to court because they haven't returned my security deposit that is due 30 days after you move out. It has been 14 months... they are unresponsive and blatantly ignore you.

I've lived here for one year and have had a few issues with issues not being taken care of. The one really big issue that has been ongoing is not having any of the yard lights operating. It's completely pitch dark at night in the complex. It was especially bad in the winter when it would get dark early and I would come home in complete darkness! I contacted the office staff several times, but nothing has ever been done. I wrote to the corporate office and no one replied. I think that is especially unacceptable. It is definitely a safety issue. After a few months, they put in some little (ineffective) reflective sticks. I've had two leaks which came through the ceiling. They fixed the leak but left the ceiling unfinished and looks bad. The latest appliance issue has been well over a week and still not resolved. The kitchen smells horrible because of the water sitting in the broken dishwasher. The office staff suggested that I wash the dishes by hand. I'm still waiting. I don't think maintenance of units or landscaping are top priorities for Resco.

Lovely caring staff, wonderful grounds, washer and dryer in unit helped save me money, private back patio, and a quiet safe community. Issues are addressed quickly. Close to campus. Would love to live here again if I did not move across the country for work. My only critique is that they should update their cabinets in the kitchen and some minor appliance updates to match the current in-the-time trends of today's home furnishings, but this is an extremely minor miniscule issue.

Impossible to reach anyone by phone. The place is too expensive to be in the condition it’s in. Stairs don’t feel safe to walk on (some spots feel like u will fall through) and the exterior of many of the town houses look terrible. Looks very outdated on the inside (especially when you consider the cost). Nice community. Staff is pleasant when u can catch them in person. Wish the phone service was as good as the in person service. Everything feels cheap. However the place is very spacious and the nieghborhood is quiet. Maintenance crew is polite. The place is average but overpriced. Appearance doesn’t match the price.

I love this community because of its pet-friendly environment, and nature filled trees everywhere. The office is there to accommodate to whatever I need. They also make sure that I am happy and feel right at home. The maintenance is there whenever I need anything no matter what time, emergency maintenance is great! Everyone, in this community, is nice and welcoming!

We have loved living here. Maintenance is extremely speedy and friednly. The office hosts really nice events and they even did a cool donation drive for the holidays. There is always give away during the month if you attend there events! I have enjoyed living here and couldn't be happier. I have not found a place yet that had such a great and happy team.

As a current resident, we can’t wait for our lease to be up! The exterior units are disgusting and falling apart. Don’t believe it? Just drive through and you will see exactly what I am talking about. Don’t move in if you were told that there are “breed restrictions” and weight limits on dogs. Total lies!!! Pits, boxers, mastiffs, you name it. Mounds of disgusting dog poop everywhere and neither the office nor certain residents care. Piles upon piles of dead leaves everywhere which gets tracked in and what a mess!! Extra work for no reason! Pure laziness is strictly on the property manager. Was told we were getting new windows last September bc of how old they are (electric bill is astronomical) but only very few residents got them installed. Last but not least, don’t expect safe parking lighting. They refuse to fix. The moon is a bonus when it’s bright. Other than that, buy a high powered flashlight and you’re still guaranteed to drag in dog poop and disgusting leave debris into your clean townhome. Would never recommend to anyone. Priced too high for the condition. Ressco, the management team, are horrible and literally do not care!!

I have to say I am so happy to finally be done dealing with this rental company. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional! I have tried contacting them multiple times while we lived there and after moving out. Everytime I would get a voicemail, and everytime I left one I never got a return call. When I finally got to an actual person in the office they would tell me they never recieved my voicemail. This happened on multiple occasions from different people working in the office. The apartments also look good upon arrival, but when you go through them with a fine toothed comb there were so many problems! When we moved in last year our smoke detectors didn't work, when we broke our lease and moved out in December, the smoke detectors still didn't work. This was even after maintenance came in for mandatory replacement of furnace filters and to CHECK THE SMOKE DETECTORS. The structure of the apartments themselves are terrible. I wouldn't dare step into my master closet because there was a dead spot in the floor, and it felt that at any moment I would fall through the floor. Our apartment must have been a fast turn around because they left poop brown paint from repainting the kitchen cabinets on the tan walls! Completely careless! The entire time we lived in this apartment our kitchen window never shut properly. I put in numerous work orders and several phone calls before anyone even came to look at it. We even had to start an escrow process to get them to come look at it. When we left in December said window still did not shut and our electric bill was through the roof because all the heat went out that window. We were told last summer they would be fixed and that turned into next spring. We were not hanging around for that. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It's not worth the money you pay for a place that's falling apart. You'll never be able to get a hold of someone to fix it.

I have been living here for almost 2 years. I love the place for many reasons,but the #1 problem that I have is with the Owners placing so many hurdles in the way of me choosing which Company will provide my Television Service! They are stuck on,and are forcing me to choose "BUCKEYE CABLE VISION" as a Service! The expense of Buckeye is very high,and many times the bill is higher than paying for Electric Service! My Cable Bill has been as high as $200.00 for 1 month which is nearly equal to 1/3 of my rent! Every Time I have tried to get Satellite Service,I was stifled, by Representatives,or rules and agreements that are in essence,..."A Lot Of Bull." At this point,I am very tired of the "Games",and if nothing changes in favor of my right to choose,then I must leave at the end of my Lease for a Community where the rights to "CHOOSE EITHER CABLE OR SATELLITE SERVICES ARE NOT INFRINGED UPON!" I honestly do love where I live,but I cannot stand being told that I must choose Buckeye Cable,or accept Policies that are very restrictive on my rights to choose.

Oakwood is conviently located and offers many amenities, such as free internet, large rooms, a pool, and a volleyball court. Each townhouse has three stories, a washer and dryer, walk in closets, as well as central heating and air conditioning. Oakwood is overall a nice, clean place to live.
