Where warehouses and rail yards once thrived, now sits a bustling urban oasis with art galleries, businesses, and upscale high-rises. Formerly known as the Northwest Industrial Triangle, Pearl holds a multitude of modern conveniences minutes from Downtown Portland.
The neighborhood is northwest of Portland State University, right on the banks of the Willamette River. Powell’s City of Books is an iconic multi-level bookstore in Pearl, close to Blue Sky Gallery, bars, and boutiques.
Beer abounds in Pearl – locals enjoy friendly conversations at 10 Barrel Brewing and Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House. Many green spaces make up this community, including Fields Park and its off-leash dog run. Jamison Square is a well-landscaped square with a large fountain near cozy cafes.

mResidences is a great place to live. It’s in the heart of the Pearl District and feels like a small community within the city. The managers are always around when you need and the price is more than fair for the area. Would highly recommend!!
Management team is great! Apartments are well priced for the location
I have only been here for a month so far but my time in the building has been satisfactory. The maintenance and leasing team work hard and are very kind and respectful of me as a tenant.
MResidences is a very well clean quiet community with many amenities to serve you and your day to day needs Being in a perfect location everything is within walking distance a lot of great business and living spaces all in one community moving fluently
Good location , awesome staff , building is clean and neat
If you’re looking for an industrial modern vibe with the niceties of The Pearl and access to pretty much everything including effortless access to the highway(s), this is the place! I feel safe and comfortable. The parking matrix is a bit hit or miss. However, it is fabulous when it is working!
Great staff, great property manager, and great place to live!! Two roof tops, gym, and a log fire pit?! Sign me up (I mean I’m already signed up but still sign me up again!!)
This is a great place to live in a great location!
Greystar took over the building January 2023. Since then, this has turned into an absolute nightmare and has consistently required $100+/mo out of pocket to cover expenses from building shortcomings and failures. - Recently identified that the majority of maintenance requests are not documented internally, and the bulk of the ones that are are closed out without inspection or repairs. No notice given to residents. - Apartments have no physical keys, just fobs. The locks on the doors run on batteries. Multiple residents have had the batteries die. The solution from the building was to leave your door open - my neighbor has no functioning front door for over two months. - Parking matrix is down consistently. Over 30+ outages in the last 12 months. When this happens, most cars are not accessible if in the matrix at the time. Residents are pushed to street parking during outages. - The building is an absolute safety hazard. Parking matrix has had multiple structural failures, including a collapse damaging multiple cars and a gate nearly crushing a resident. Building sends no notice to residents. - After the parking matrix collapse, the technicians identified additional structural weak points. Building did not communicate this until weeks later and allowed residents to continue using. - 7th and 8th floors have had no heat or air conditioner since before May 2022. No ETA on this, building states it will be in the millions to get fixed. - Have waited over 8 months for a replacement washer and dryer with no updates. - Various other issues with not working appliances due to the building being largely vacant through COVID.
I recently moved into mResidences in The Pearl and am so happy I did. The unit is wonderful and the management and staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Great community to live in!
The Janey is perfectly located in the coolest neighborhood downtown. Whole foods, Powell's, the gym & so many great coffee shops, food & fun are just blocks away. My studio is small but well thought out, with nice appliances & very usable space. I love the bike room, the rooftop lounge & BBQ, the matrix car stacker for parking & the staff is very friendly. Maintenence issues get fix quickly and everyone goes above & beyond to ensure a safe, clean, happy place to live. There is even a new building going in next door that will offer more amenities.
