Oakwood Vista

This place has a really bad bug problem. I’ve had the pest control company come out multiple times over the past year and the bugs are still everywhere! It makes it so uncomfortable, I can’t even walk around in my own home without shoes because fears of stepping on a roach! The complex is quiet, very laid back, the apartments are pretty ok. But I’m not sacrificing my health. It’s digesting and i can’t wait to move

I am never one to leave reviews but people need to know that 1) This complex is ROACH infested. I will come home and kill 5 or more all around my island kitchen. I’ve cleaned by apartment from top to bottom, but the pests are in the walls. I’m frustrated and disgusted to the point of tears. Pest control is by request only, when requested, they only come on Tuesdays, so if you have a pet and a full time job, your out of luck of getting them to safety before they spray your home with poison. I’m terrified for my and my cat’s wellbeing with how much roach spray and bombs I’ve had to use. Nothing works. They come back the next day. 2) Garbage service is inconsistent. And, since there are so many stray cats in the neighborhood, there is the likelihood that your trash bags will be ripped open before they’re picked up. And if they’re ripped open, the trash will stay in the halls indefinitely. 3) Office staff is super nice but if packages go to the office, you are not notified. I’ve had packages missing for months because I was told all mail goes to the mailboxes instead of ever the office. I can’t wait to move. I came here to be closer to work but I’d rather drive an hour every morning then stay here another lease term. This complex definitely looks nice on the outside, and there are some perks but I am miserable. Just consider all your options before moving here or you’ll be in tears holding two empty cans of roach spray like me.

Love the staff ladies. Especially Ms.Gloria, she has been really amazing since the move in process. Any maintenance issue always gets resolve immediately.

Do not stay here. The people who live here are great but the staff are the issue. I will never recommend this place or a property own by the same company.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but since my time and money were both wasted I shall, to help anyone else thinking of moving here. This apartment is unkept and filthy. I expected to move in on my move in date and walked into a trap house. Stove dirty and rusted, fridge off white with stains and unclean, bathroom and kitchen floors dirty and covered in paint, tub unfinished and gross, sewage flies and roaches. The worst part is I was told they’d paint over things and spray. Not okay. Mind you I wasn’t ever able to move in so lost my $300 holding fee on an apartment I was never able to move into. Completely inconvenienced and staff had the nerve to have an attitude when they had one job. Seems leasing office employees are getting really lazy these days. Save yourself the trouble and save your hard earned money for somewhere else! Peace of mind, cleanliness and safety over unlivable conditions ALWAYS, I can only imagine had I moved in what I would be going through.

Been here for close to 2 years now, and it just keeps getting better. Finally a place where management CARES about their residents and treats them like family. I love the monthly events and treats. Breakfast on the go is my favorite!! The staff makes this place feel like home.

They have changed property management like 5 times... So you can understand the problem. THE COURSTEY OFFICER IS A JERK. And totally devalues this property. He harasses children and adults . Because of constant management changes they are still here. Terrorizing the community. Dont move here...

I am a resident of this apt. maintenance workers are not very skilled. I am so doubted their qualification. Totally totally incompetent.. Apartment needs to replace their maintenance workers.

The people in the front office were not understanding or accommodating which is unfortunate because the property is pretty but I cannot live somewhere that I do not feel cared about. I would not recommend this property.

I am moving out of this apartment community in two weeks and could not be happier. I lived here for a year and I had a terrible experience. The management team is extremely unprofessional and do not care about the needs of their residents. There is a major bug problem and this is not a "gated community" as advertised because the gate never works. The apartment is extremely old and worn down and smells come into your apartment from your neighbors. They recently painted the outside and use paint in the inside to make it look newer but once you move in you find out how worn down everything is. I never felt safe living here and I would not recommend this apartment community to anyone. I would advise anyone to keep looking because you will be disappointed if you choose to live here.

Three years ago i used Apartment.com to find Oakwood Vista and now i can say there's no place like home, this community has been all i have ever needed and want. So i always follow the yellow brick road to the gates of Oakwood Vista.

I've been living in Oakwood Vista a little over 2yrs now, and for the most part it's a good place to live. The only problems I can think of are I've had a few issues with delayed repair orders, people cut through our apartments to get to the cheaper ones behind our complex, and there's not enough parking in front of some buildings.

I have lived here going on two years. Management is very responsive, and grounds are kept clean. The pool is nice and maintenance is prompt. I have never used the gym, so i can't speak to that. The gate has been broken pretty frequently, but repaired within in a few days. Its a little pricy for the area, but i feel safe here. Only bad things are the neighbors and the sound. The walls are thin, so im usually not cha cha-ing after 10pm. Most neighbors are just as considerate, but i have had one or two where noise is a serious issue. I really like it here, but there are definitely pros and cons.

My experience with this apartment complex has been by far the most "unpleasant, uncomfortable, horriffic" experience. Some of the buildings need to be repaired, and when you notify staffing their response is not of any "urgency" it appears that your more of a nuisance to them and could care less how we feel as "paying tenant's" and how concerns. The current "Asst Mgr" is rude, agrues with resident's, lacks integrity, unruly behavior, has no concern or empathy for the resident's who live here.
