Property Ratings at Oasis at Scottsdale
Been living here for a couple of years now and it's a great place to call home, staff is great and they keep everything so clean, well maintained
Do not live here. This place is over priced and have issues such as; mold, rodents, cockroaches, flooding of units, maintenance disrespecting tenants property, rude and neglectful front office. Seriously there are other places around that are worth paying for. This place is not.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. Everyone in the front office needs to be fired for negligence. I’ve had countless issues ranging from water damage all over my kitchen and bathroom, mold, insects, creepy neighbors, and worst of all this complex will change for anything and everything under the sun. Money hungry complex with absolutely nothing good to offer besides location. AWFUL PLACE TO STAY!
My son save his best friend moved in there 2 years ago. Besides all the plumbing problems, they had rats. It took the maintenance staff days to respond. Traps were set but only a few. Then more were set. It seemed to problem was taken care of. Today, it was discovered (due to a gas leak from the stove) that a trap was put in the bottom drawer of the stove and was never checked by maintenance. There was a dead, rotted, rat with melted plastic because they had be COOKING WITH THE CARCASS IN THERE for at least a year!! Why wasn't it checked when they returned to remove the other traps? The tenants (my son and his roommate) had no idea where the traps had been placed. Absolutely unacceptable. Don't move here!!
This apartment is not worth it. There is no central A/C, hardly ever have hot water, management does not care about you at all, and the office staff is nice at first until you sign the lease and then you don't matter.
I lived here for 3 years. The first 2 years were great so I moved into a 2 bedroom on the west side of the complex. The roaches were soooo bad and no end in sight. Its a major problem here...infestation from hell. Dont move here.
Great size apartments. Unique pool, beautiful garden walkways and patios. Well managed, pet friendly and close to shopping, transportation, restaurants. I love it!!
Not a nice place to live. Management is rude and nasty. Maintenance never gets done in a timely manner. They always have excuses as to why things happen or can’t be fixed. Cockroaches, trash, pigeon poop, dog poop and loud people and parties. Even though you pay for utilities they still turn your A/C off. A/C isn’t even an air conditioning unit. It’s a chiller unit/swamp cooler. For the longest time it didn’t work. They need to clean the air vents out, but of course they won’t. Too lazy. The girls that run this place are just rude, rude, rude. They need to learn some manners and professionalism. Don’t live here. That’s all I can say. Trust the reviews and stay far, far away.
The Oasis is a decent location, but beyond that, it's complete garbage. Also, if you love to smell cigarette smoke, this is the place for you. You will also fall in love with the pigeons, until you realize no ever cleans the steps or sidewalk. The manager has no business being in the hospitality industry. Beware, they control what time of the year the air and heat is turned on.
Nice affordable apartments good location bug free and carpet living room clean quiet and nice ammenities and office staff I would recommend this place for long term
I lived at the oasis at Scottsdale for 2 years and I was treated very nicely. If I needed something worked on it was done right away. The manager Raina was awesome!!! She was always very nice and professional. The location was very convenient as well.
After searching and searching I stumbled upon this place located in a heart of old town Scottsdale this community is beautiful I love everything about it has newly renovated units everything new pool amazing Staff (Sonia is the best)I been staying here for 7months and I'm ready to sign another 12month lease its so great here and convenient to everything around
I just moved in a about 6 months ago. So far I really enjoy living here. The convenience of having all utilities included is the best! My apartment is so spacious and is very quiet. I cant say I've had any issues with bugs yet, but its all in how clean you are. I just love this location, its so close to everything and within walking distance to almost anything you need. THe grocery store is right next door which is so convenient. I am a single mother and I feel safe here, plus they have courtesy patrol which helps. I also have a dog and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to have my pet. The ladies in the office make you feel welcomed and are very sweet and go out of their way for you. Even though there is construction of painting on property, I feel they are improving it and making it look nice. Cant complain on them wanting to upgrade the community. I went to use the gym recently for the first time and they just remodeled it with new gym equipment also and it looks very nice! The price of my 2bedroom is a steal with ALL the utilities included. Anyway, I am very pleased with my apartment.
Watching children play, people going to and coming from work, it's a very active community. Having 2 master bed and baths is a dream! We're so close to a nature walk on the greenbelt, or a night out on the town. I think the exterior could use a facelift, but it's very comfortable inside. Parking could,be a bit more convienent, but that's minor. Love our apt, and found it on Apartments.com!
This place is awful. When I moved in they offered to waive your security deposit. DONT DO IT! Its a trap to newbie renters. That deposit is there to protect you, otherwise they charge you an arm and a leg when you move out. The management is terrible. They don't care about their renters and will argue with you over menial things. If you just ASK why a pool is padlocked, prepare to get an earful or dismissive response. If you ask for your change back from a broken washer or dryer they accuse you of lying. I even watched one of the front office staff move furniture out of an evicted apt and then told my roommate he could take whatever he wanted. The 'model' is nice but they wouldn't dare take you on a tour to the other side of the complex where the roof is falling down from the most recent rain because they NEVER fix ANYTHING. One time they left a piece of plywood covering a hole for over a MONTH. Other recent review said you get what you pay for but here you really don't because you THINK you have paid for a place with a pool and laundry, but those are hardly ever available. It is also very unsafe. I have seen cars with tires removed. Our own bike - padlocked, but didn't stop bolt cutters - was stolen from our patio during mid-morning while we were inside eating breakfast. SWAT has been there. Our neighbor drunkenly broke into our apt - she was not evicted. A previous review said that you get what you pay for. That is actually not true in this place. You assume that your rent earns you access to a pool or laundry facilities (the 'gym' is a joke) but those are rarely available or in working order. If you DO decide to move in, brush up on tenant/landlord laws so you know your rights going in. Otherwise they WILL exploit you.
The front of the complex is pretty and the model is updated, but it is NOT what most of us residents were given. We have named our apartment at Oasis at Scottsdale "The Roach Motel," due to our unwanted "roommates." I turn on the lights in the kitchen and they scatter off of the counter. I can't be surprised, even with how clean we keep it; the buildings are made of old, rotting wood and leaking pipes that drip through the ceiling; it's like a ginger bread house... for roaches. It took six months and two visits for the maintenance to believe me that there was a leak behind my wall, and by that time there was structural damage. They fixed the leak, but left the rotting moldy mess behind for me to deal with. When I move out, they'll cover every broken or moldy surface in a layer of spray paint and lease it to the next sorry victim, just as they did before me. It's cheap for Scottsdale, just know what you're paying for.
