This place is hell. They lie, they intrude, they fall short, and they deceive. They TOLD US WHILE SIGNING OUR LEASE A YEAR THE APARTMENT WE WERE MOVING INTO WAS DOG FRIENDLY! Now they are saying they aren’t, while many dogs live in our building!!!! They lied!!!! A complete stranger was also in my apartment when my fiancé walk in one day!!!! I’m a 100lb woman, what if it was me??? Or I had been home alone when he entered???? Their response was, communication with maintenance is an ongoing issue”. Excuse me????? I could have thought it was an intruder!!! This place has officially violated our privacy!! This place also has cockroaches! There’s NEVER enough parking even though ‘there’s plenty of parking’ was told to us. There’s usually not a single spot in our lot past 7-730 at night! They installed a ‘safety’ system to our front doors to manage who can get in and out of the building and it’s been several months that it’s been installed but has never worked. This place also took NINE MONTHS to even give us our mailbox key!!! What if we had bills being sent to us?????!!!! We have squirrels getting from our roof into our walls! They have made TWO HOLES IN OUR WALL SO FAR!!! When we first called about it, the office was nasty and condescending as if we were just complaining about squirrels in general. The fire alarm goes off almost once a month in the middle of the night and takes over a half hr to even get turned off. I’ve had to call noise complaints on certain neighbor several times. This place needs new management completely! More than anything I wanted to rescue a dog and they told us 45lb weight limit and now we are being told our building is one of only two that aren’t??!! We were sold on this place because we were told it was!!! Upping their prices while things get worse and worse is a joke! I wouldn’t suggest this hell hole to anyone!

We were able to speak to the on-site Property Manager regarding the fact that you do resident in a building that is not dog friendly. The 45lb weight limit is for the townhomes with a private entrance, in some of our garden apartments, we do allow up to 25lbs. As for the fire alarm, we take this very serious and will always make sure it is working, for resident safety. Although it was very thoughtful for management to replace the loft for my family and me. We are grateful and thankful. However, considering the amount of rent that is paid, I believe more action should be taken about the parking and is it really important to have 2 trash compartments. I can understand why management doesn't have a suggestion box. Consider the disabled vehicle (s), maybe your OPV police in their trucks can notice if they stop focusing on particular families. As they don't live here, why should it interfere or bother them? I can only wonder what their suggestions might be.

Theraline, We are sorry to see your review, however, we assure you, we have more than sufficient parking for our valued Residents. You can not always park directly in front of your apartment home because we do not designate parking (nor do we permit Residents to "hold" parking spaces for visitors), but we do have several parking lots that always have available spaces. While we do not have a suggestion box, you are always welcome to send any helpful suggestions to our Property Manager. We do not have OPV Police, so we are unsure as to what you are referring, however, please feel free to call the Property Manager to discuss any concerns you may have during normal business hours. I’ll give them this much- they seem to be trying (they as in ownership). On site washer/dryer facilities are cramped, poorly ventilated, and not serviced frequently enough despite complaints. Yes- there are squirrels, abandoned cats and noisy diverse neighbors who play music at late hours or let their children run a muck. That seems to be “normal” for this-income apartment living. When the maintenance are finally able to come out, the solutions are typically not permanent, as someone else pointed out. Previous paint jobs were sloppy, sealing old windows. Insulation is shot. Backwoods let in heat and cold. Loose switches might be replaced, but the electric needs re-wiring. They added fences and landscaping to make the front look nice, good for prospective renters. Go in the courtyards/ back and find old diapers and a “not so scenic” golf courses which closed over a year ago. So..... live here if you must.

I moved here from out of state and Tara R. was so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. The community is clean, the people are fabulous and with only one or two issues, maintenance has been absolutely fantastic.

Lived at Ocean Park Village for only a year and half, but enjoyed it very much! The community was friendly and all the staff, from the main office to maintenance, was always so helpful and got everything taken care of. Would definitely recommend staying here -

I have lived here for 2 1/2 years and had so many things rigged to be fixed, (The Maintenance guys hate doing this! They are really good!), but nothing is ever really fixed. Everything except the carpet is old and needs to be replaced! When something is replaced it is not at your convenience, like the front door, and my house remained open all day even when the workers went to lunch. Calling the office for anything does nothing!! Moved in because we lost our home during Sandy and our rent just keeps jumping up a lot each year now!! Asked for a 3 bedroom when we moved in and still are being told "No". We have never been late on rent or anything!! Can't wait to move!!
The lay-out is very nice and the price is pretty good for the area. I get along great with my nearest neighbors and everyone that works here is very nice. That being said, I've had an ongoing issue with squirrels getting into the wall and neighbors behind me from another complex that love to blast their music all day and night. Both of those issues are specific to my location within the complex though.
This unit is outdated. The stove, the plumbing, electrical. The unit does not have insulation. The windows might as well be open. The downstairs bathtub does not drain right, at least once a week I am calling maintenance. In my unit the upstairs loft stays warm, but the two downstairs bedrooms are freezing!. The music at times from cars in the parking lot comes right into your unit. The maintenance people are good, busy. This unit has a lot of space. This one pizza place by i-hop will not deliver to these apartments.
The unit that I currently staying all the amenities are all outdated. The unit is poorly insulated, windows have two plastic panes and cannot be open.
