We love our new apartment at the Oceana! The apartments are newly renovated and spacious which makes them feel luxury. Its a pretty quiet area and not far at all from multiple shopping centers. Gated community, gym, pool, and your own Amazon delivery box! We wanted in unit laundry and balcony and we got that and more. Oceana staff was super helpful in our process especially coming from out of state. We really appreciated the consistent communication! They answered all of our questions and helped accommodate us with our move in date. Overall satisfied!

As of move in, Oceana has been a great place to live. Pet friendly with a dog park, 24 hour gym that has equipment variety, gorgeous pool area with a jacuzzi and nearby firepit. Friendly and helpful leasing and maintenance staff. Modern and clean apartment with quality appliances. Closed gate community for safety and security. Great location with two major freeways nearby and restaurants shops and more just within reach.

Complex and apartments are being renovated. Management staff changes every two years or so. Mostly clean complex you have trouble people just like anywhere. Noisy kids as they play outside unsupervised or running up and down the steps constantly. Maintenance issues are addressed in a very timely manner, with all of the updates the washers and dryers should have been updated as well. Community water, electric, and gas as well as extra charges for Amazon delivery boxes and trash consierge. I do not use the trash service I take it out myself, the Amazon delivery I have used three times and still do not think I should have to pay $60 a year for that. I can have my packages delivered to circle k at no extra charge why am I being charged here?

Ive been living here for a month now. I love how quiet & family friend it is. My neighbors are great, location is great & I have my own assigned covered parking. I have a 2 bd Floor plan & love how they upgraded everything! Only downfall of the location is the internet is not great. Overall good experience so far...

I have lived here for 3 year and absolutely love here. Charlene the manager is amazing. Her and her staff are very friendly and keeps us residents up to date on activities happening around Avondale. They are liers. The apartments are not remodeled just the kitchen. We had to call maintenance almost every month because something was breaking. They made adjustment to our lease and wants us to pay extra for. I would never recommend this place for anyone not even the devil himself.
Worst Service ever! I get it, you're a business you have to make money. But, don't tell me after I sign and date the paper works, that they're extra fee's for returning your keys late one day! One day. One day late they charge 1 day's full rent. That's over $100.00 to walk in and return keys. I didn't keep the keys. I didn't loose the keys. I simply returned it 1 day late so they charged me $100.00 fee because of that.
My boyfriend and I are super exited about moving in to the Oceana apartments. We have been looking for a new place for a bit and we absolutely fell in love with the model that we viewed. Leah the manager was amazing. She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The apartment is high end luxurious and the complex looks clean, the kitchen and appliances are to die for!! My favorite part of the complex is the doggy park. The design of the apartment is exactly what we are looking for and and in our price range.. worth every penny!! Thank you Leah we are super exited!!
Worst experience of my life. When I moved in, the spa wasn't working and every time I asked, they acted like it was the first time hearing this news and they would "look into it". The gates remained broken for months, only getting fixed AFTER the mail boxes were broken into. I needed to ask multiple times to have things fixed in my apartment and when someone did show up, the job was minimal done. The dog park is constantly filled with poop, the marijuana smell is non-stop, the noise of people walking in the apartment above mine was loud and made objects rattle. A third party vendor working on a tree, broke something of mine and each time I asked about having the cost covered, I got, We need to" "look into it". Worst experience ever!!!!
I have lived at these apartments for almost two years and don’t understand the negative reviews. The office staff is very friendly, and whenever I needed to get in contact with them they always responded to my emails promptly. The few times I had to call maintenance fee were out to my apartment the next day, one time even the same day. The neighborhood is perfect. I honestly don’t think that my first apartment could have been any better.
I had roaches, a broken laundry washing, a broken dishwasher, a broken fridge and a broken widow within two weeks of moving into this apartment. Within my time here, I made over thirty maintenance requests for the broken washer and dishwasher, at least 8 for the washing machine, that were never fixed in the 11 months I lived there. Also, roaches. Roaches are everywhere in these apartments. And by everywhere, I mean that I was woken up when roaches would chew through the wires to the smoke alarms in the apartment causing it to beep nonstop only for this to happen again another 4 times. You will find roaches in your bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and everywhere else. Please do not move into these apartments. Air conditioning stopped working in the middle of summer, took at least a week to fix. Fortunately, I had someone nearby to stay with. My roommate did not and had to stay in a hotel another costing her a couple hundred dollar. Safety concerns? Well, at least once, there was a police stakeout and capture in the complex, and the gates are typically broken. As for customer service, I can honestly not think of a worse, more incompetent bunch of individuals than the customer service representatives at Oceana apartments. Specifically, Charlene is the most horrible customer service agent that I have dealt with. EVER. Record everything, keep everything. Their online payment portal doesn't work or did not in at least six or seven of the months I lived there. Otherwise, you have to pay by cashiers check, and you do get charged for late fees. Also, get a copy of everything they have on your apartment. I had to pay an additional 300 dollars past ALL of the security deposits, around a thousand bucks, for damages because I failed to keep the checklist. Of course, they went back a second time without notifying me which is a violation on their part. However, since they gave me a copy without the marked damages, I had to pay or go in collections. Coincidentally, I did pay the exact fee, and Charlene still sent it to collections. Words cannot express how much I despise this person and place. I truly hope you find somewhere else, or I guarantee you will regret it. Parting shot: good luck getting your mail. I had to call to get my W-2s resent because Oceana did not deliver mail for a good month since people broke into their mail. Recently, they lost the master mail key, so they can't get mail anyway. I hate this place. Please do not live here.
When I first inquired about Oceana apartments, I had just graduated college, signed my first contract for a real job, and was moving out of my parents house for the first time ever. I did not have two paystubs, nor did I have proof of being a great leaser because I had only ever lived at my parents house. However, Charlene (the Office Business Manager) was so helpful and patient with me. Never once have I been treated unkindly, or brushed aside like my questions, or comments didn't matter. My apartment is beautiful, and the pool actually looks like the pictures! I recently had financial problems, and the office staff helped me in amazing ways in a matter of 10 minutes -- they are the best!
The office girls are great and really nice. We love our new place and can't wait to get settled in. We would recommend this place to anyone.
I've been searching for a new place all week long. I really like the area and wanted to stay close by. Went in and look at the model. Charlene was the person I was working with and she was so nice, caring and professional. I've been to 6 complex and she was happy and excited to help me get my apt. She kept me updated on my application process. My kids love the playground area and we love our apt. I went to the office and spoke to April she is really nice too. The staff is awesome and I'm glad I moved here.
I just moved in and I am in love with the place! The staff at the rental office have been phenomenal and were eager to help me every step of the way! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for an inexpensive luxury living experience. The apartments are newly remodeled with all of the latest, energy efficient appliances, and are most spacious and the community is most aesthetically pleasing.

Don't let the past reviews scare you off. I was a bit concerned when I first moved in because new management had just taken over the complex. I'm not sure any place is perfect, but in the 4-5 months I've lived here, they have really changed things up. First off is the name change -this used to be Village @ Gateway Pavillions, but is now Broadstone Gateway. Improvements: The gate system was improved with an access card (in addition to the little dial-a-box). It kind of sucked that pool just recently opened, but they have completely redone the pool and pool area that now boasts a big propane grill. The office, business center, and gym have all recently been completely redone as well. Not just painting and redecorating, but all new gym equipment. As far as the apartments, they have apparently been redoing them all as well. My apartment not only had new carpet and paint, but the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom floors have new vinyl flooring that mimics dark wood plank flooring. I think they have upgraded some of the lighting as well. My dining room light is the same nice one that's also in the model, and my living room did come with a ceiling fan. All of my appliances were all in good working order and they included a full-size washer & dryer. We did have a few issues with the AC (thermostat and relay switch), but both times, the emergency maintenance guys were right on it and fixed the issues immediately and with a friendly attitude. Unlike the last place I lived, I have not had any issues with car alarms, blaring stereos, or speeding idiots. My neighbors are all respectful and relatively quiet, and I can sleep peacefully during the day (I work graveyard shift). So, I'm very pleased with what's been going on around here, and if things stay this good, I will definitely be renewing my lease.
New management took over just before I moved in earlier this year. They have changed the name of the complex and made lots of improvements throughout, including completely redoing the gym with all new equipment and redoing the pool & pool area, adding a large gas grill and fire pit area. My apartment is great - new paint, flooring, etc. My neighbors are great - they're quiet. The only real issue I've had is the AC unit, but it has been fixed. As long as the rent doesn't drastically jump in price, I plan to renew my lease next year.
I was very lucky & honored to spend a year in this apartment. I did renew my lease & I got a good deal of paying for my rent since I renew my lease. This apartment has two stories, pool, billiards table, nice restrooms, Bar-B-Que grills outside the apartment complex, it also has balconies outside of the apartment too. The apartments inside has nice spacious rooms with plenty of cabinets & nice size bedrooms. The best part is it had washer machines & dryers.
By far the worst place I have ever lived. I have cats living on my patio and I'm allergic to cats but the management won't do anything about it, its full of inconsiderate UTI students who don't know what a speed limit is and think it's ok to bump their stereos through the parking lot in the middle of the night. The apartments are in horrible condition. You have to supply your own ceiling fans, and there aren't any lights in the room, the floor in the kitchen had to be replaced my first week in the apartment due to poor installation or poor quality materials, maybe both. The entrance gates are constantly messed up. Its a set of double gates that malfunction often where one will be opening while the other is closing but "management is not responsible for damage caused by gates".
Yes they repainted the outside of the buildings. The appliances are of the lowest quality . My refridgerator is either to cold "freezes" inside fridge then out of the blue be to warm "bad milk" a week before expiration. The a/c s are always being "worked on" . They patch them up then within a month working on the same one , or tell you to turn it off then come and say look it is working now then it is time for them to go home and guess what , within an hour broke again. You call them and they start the process all over again. Then there is the pool area the jacuzzi hasnt worked properly for over a year , the jets , then the heater, then back to the jets, and now they dont even clean it . There is stuff in there all the time and now the kids use it for their bathroom. The pool itself is shutdown twice a month for "maintenance". Then during pool hours no one will unlock the pool when it is actually working . You try to talk to management and they are like we are working on it. You ask how and all you get is we are sorry . Guess they nailed that one on the head . "LUXURY APARTMENTS" guess you can call it what you like i guess the roof dont leak yet.....
