Property Ratings at Odyssey Apartments
I lived in building 1729 for the last year. They’ve had roaches and every building this is 2024 in July about to be August now the apartments that they show everybody or just showroom so that they can get you to move in all the washers are nasty and broken don’t work. None of the apartments are remodeled, the place is a dumb. Everything falls apart the windows freeze they’re cracked.

It was a peaceful, clean place with good green areas, What happens to the administrative staff? Operating personnel apparently do not have or do not have the correct amount to carry out the daily maintenance work. The only clean spaces are close to the office, it also depends on the people who live in the place to keep clean, The maintenance of the pool was done I think that weekly and the rules of entry were respected, now they have parties in the pool, people who do not respect rules or people, The green areas are almost dead (if I could post photos so they can look), the puppies' waste deposits, the puppies are not to blame for having dirty owners, They do not collect the excrement of their dogs, I hope that they can solve the small observations for the tranquility of their tenants,

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and green areas in the past. We apologize for the recent decline in maintenance and cleanliness. While our team makes large strides to keep the community looking its best, we strongly encourage everyone to do their part. We appreciate your input and hope to improve the living experience for all our residents. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention.
Our rating of this complex has gone down tremendously in just 10 short months. As a couple, we moved in here in October of 2022, and we have decided to get as far away as possible from this complex, we are not renewing our lease like we previously planned. The complex is absolute garbage. When we first moved in, our building didn't even have an exterior door. When they FINALLY put one in, residents would prop it open using rocks, and it is now broken to the point where it does not and will not close properly. We have been waiting for maintenance to come and fix one of our cabinet doors for two months, and have put in SEVERAL maintenance requests to no help. Yet when we email the leasing office and threaten to take legal action, suddenly things in our apartment get fixed. Ridiculous. Speaking of the leasing office, they had our mother's car towed from the parking lot in the middle of the night with NO NOTICE given to us as tenants that the parking fee hadn't been paid for the month. No phone call, no note, no letter, nothing. We had to pay $300 to get our car back from the towing lot, which we cannot afford because as we said, times are tough when you live paycheck to paycheck. The pool was shut down for weeks because of vandalism, and same thing with the fitness center, and they haven't given tenants any notice as to when or if the fitness center will reopen. We also had sooooo many issues when we first moved in like the sink leaked, the bathtub filled up with water from the drain, the dishwasher was not secured, there was mold on our windowsill for months (that they insisted was dirt until we threatened legal action), and so much more. The most recent thing that broke our trust with this complex was people defecating in the washers that have been broken for months (there were only three washers and driers for 30 units and now we have been down to one). The list goes on and on with problems at this place from both us and other tenants, we decided to move out after hearing other people's horror stories where we realized that this place is NOT safe for ourselves or our two cats whatsoever. Do not live here and for the love of all that is good and holy, do not bring pets or children here, they will just get hurt. We found this apartment through this website, it looked like a good deal at first, but you get what you pay for. We would not recommend these apartments.

We are disheartened to hear that your experience at our community has not met either of our expectations. We strive to give 5 star services in every situation, but we have fallen short and we apologize. Please feel free to reach out or come to the office at your earliest convenience so that we can make this right moving forward. We appreciate your feedback.
After signing my lease I found out there are roaches everywhere and dead beetles all along the hallways of the building. Police are constantly on the property due to shootings, Crackheads loiter by the stairs of my building almost every night. A few months ago a large water bubble appeared above my shower I contacted management and they cut the bubble out leaving a large hole above my shower for 8 months. And the utilities are combined ago the building so every month I’m paying 400 in utilities but my it’s just me and my 5 year old son living here it’s ridiculous.

Please feel free to stop by our office or give us a call whenever you have the time.
These apartments are literally disgusting, we moved here as a last resort & have only lived here for about 3 months. There’s always crackheads smoking INSIDE of the hall area & leaving their trash everywhere. We were given key fobs & were told that the doors into the complex would be fixed. That was 2 months ago & they haven’t even been fixed. They’re wide open letting weirdos in. We’ve had issues with cockroaches since we moved in & having random people coming into the complex leaving their trash everywhere isn’t helping. Management is very quick to demand rent but doesn’t even bother to send maintenance until weeks out. This place is a joke.
If I could give a zero I would. The place is infested with bed bugs and roaches. I have pictures of their garbage cans overflowing with trash. No wonder they're infested. The buildings are in horrible condition. The staff is full of liars. Juanita is a joke. Management allows her rude behavior. She's hung up on me, slammed doors in my face and flat out lied about things she's said. I've called and complained soo many times and nothing gets done about it. DO NOT MOVE IN TO THESE FILTHY APARTMENTS!!!!
’ve lived here 3 weeks. I moved here without seeing the place dumb I know but I was going off of the website and this place sucks! The pictures are all lies If I could give it no stars I would. They left a note on my door saying I owed them 20 dollars for renters insurance even though I emailed them 5 plus different times showing them I had my own and wasn’t going to go through their company couldn’t get back to me but could have someone leave a note on my door. This place is disgusting people smoke cigarettes in the building in the halls no one knows how to pick up after themselves. This place is maybe a step above a crack house. Soooooooooooooooooo dirty I was excited for the pool for my son but I don’t want him getting in to the pool after I see how things are kept here everything is almost broken and the front desk has yet to get back to me about ANY of my concerns. This place is a joke I’ve been here for not even a month and can’t wait until my lease is up. I’ve found bed bugs

Hello, We sincerely apologize about the experience you've had while residing at Timber Lodge. We would like to have an in person meeting to discuss your concerns in more detail. Please contact the Community Director, Christina at CShearn@bldgapartments.com at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Timber Lodge Management
1.Cockroaches 2.Work Orders Never Finished 3. Amenities you can never access if you get home after 5pm 4. Laundry you can't use if you aren't home by 5 to fill your card 5. Denver Market Prices For Below Average service. MANAGEMENT TIPS 1. Fix all exterior doors (3 work orders ago) 2. Lower prices to the below average you are. 3. 24 hour access to amenities (we work too) You Want to charge the same prices? 1. Add dishwashers 2. Switch to Central Air 3. Actually fix apartments for move in's 4. Do you even have a grounds keeper? (Doesn't look like it. 5. Shovel snow on day one (everywhere not just in front of the leasing office) 6. Get recycling 7. Remodel (I feel like I am in a run down motel) 8. Included flat utilities, I know you don't measure individual usage and I am tired of paying for everyone else. Also, Don't make small attempts to make it look like you care and are fixing things... I will update this post with actual changes you do and don't make. Updates (4/12/2019) was contacted about review and was informed that they realize that their property is not the best, but they told me that they are getting improvements approved for their budget. Will post updates when amenities are made 24/7 and door is fixed.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to update your review regarding the status of your concerns. Again, please do let us know if there's anything we can address. We are doing our best to handle all issues as quickly as possible. Thank you, Timber Lodge Management
Seems like an okay place to rent at first. But let me tell you, you will be making a big mistake. They never sweep the hallways, there are stains all over the carpets, the tenants here are something else, they never pick their dogs crap up, leave there garbage all over the campus and will set their bags of trash right outside the main door instead of taking it to the dumpster. DO NOT RENT HERE. Let me continue though, the utilities they will charge you about $10-15 more every month. I pay 135 a month just for utilities and i am the only person in the unit. If you like paying for other people’s water and heat this is the place for you! I will say there are a few nice ladies in the office, but one grinch. They say no large dog but yet there is one directly above me in the unit and it’s not normal sized by any means. Shall I keep going? There has been a huge gaping hole in the drywall in my hall since the summer, 7 months ago

Hello Craig. I am sorry to read about your negative experience and appreciate your candor. I would LOVE to help change your mind. If you get a moment would you give me a call so we can talk? I am not finding you in my records and really want to reach out. Best wishes, CShearn Timber Lodge Community Director.
If someone asked me what it is like living here... I would laugh and say if you like bed bugs, cockroaches and mold this is the place to be. I have lived here for 5 months and not one month has gone by that I haven’t been in the office atleast 2x a month. The “professionals” in the office are far from professional which I have footage and recordings of what they believe professionalism is. There is a women in there by the name Estella and she is extremely rude an has only made my experience here 20x worse by not providing any empathy for what we go through living in this run down place. They are all about the money but don’t want to fix anything. We have put in work orders that have been closed when they were never even worked on. Our utility bill for a one bedroom and one bath is between $130-150 a month. Water alone is about 60-80$ a month that is because they don’t fix leaks unless you open 6 work orders and go in and report 3x face to face. I report the leak in Jan it took them until May!!!! At this point I could just keep going so with that said. NOOOO DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!
I have lived here almost a year and cannot wait to move somewhere else. No one ever has answers, if you can get someone to pick up a phone. The property is always filthy, I have seen the same pile of dog poop for literally months. I understand that people break glasses but when the same shards are sitting in the same place for weeks that isn't good. Someone punched and kicked holes in the wall but it wasn't fixed for a month. Did I mention there has been a homeless lady sleeping in the hallway on cold nights, good job Timberlodge! I had a girl tell me not to move here when I moved in and I should have listened. Plus I think the new management rated themselves that perfect rating.
Recently moved in, and has been the best decision I did. The staff treated me very well and took care of me and my family, they maintain the community clean, I love my new home and would recommend for you to move in to Timber Lodge.

We are very glad you enjoy your new home. We work very hard to ensure all of our residents are provided wonder customer service and great amenities. We always love hearing feed back from our residents. Thank you for the wonderful input and have a great day.
Very over priced, run down, and rude employees. Find somewhere else, trust me.

We apologize you had such a poor experience with our staff and property. We have had quite few changes since November and would love for you to come experience them if you ever would like to. Thank you for the fee back and have a wonderful day.
they lie about everything, including amenities, gym is never A/C ed so avrage temp is 88-96in the gym and other public areas are dirty, found a condom on the picnic table when out walking in the moring. the pools are never open they close 1-2 at a time to save costs. Anything you need fixed they will try to over charge you and send the lowest bidder.... been in the aprtment not even a mounth and the doors on the cabnits are falling off from too short of scres put in to the hidges ... Just Avoid at all costs.
Property Manager at Odyssey Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are very sorry you have experienced such poor conditions on our property. There have been many changes since September, such as a newly renovated Fitness Center and Business center (this includes A/C), changes in staffing for both grounds keeping and leasing for better quality services, and have continued to not charge our residents for maintenance and repairs to the apartments due to age and usage. As for the pools, we had been experiencing malfunctions with the equipment and vandalism regarding glass in the pool. For our residents safety we where forced to close both pools early, but these issues have now been corrected for a fun and refreshing summer in 2018. If there are any additional issues our residence have experienced, please feel free to contact the Leasing Office. Thank you and have a great day.
Learn from my mistakes and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! They make it seem like a dream, but move you into a nightmare!! I've been renting here since mid June. They show you a "model" unit that looks waaaay too nice for what they actually rent you. Nancy, the property manager, gets pleasure from screwing over residence! She literally laughed and smirked in my face! Priscilla and Estella find it unnecessary to review your lease with you and consider it a courtesy, actually saying "it's not required". Evelyn, the assistant manager cant help you because she's pregnant, or that's her excuse. I didn't get you pregnant nor make you temperamental. It may be due to the fact that you all lack ethical business practices. Maintenance has entered my apt numerous times to fix nothing. At move in, my apartment was and is a disaster. I was approved 65 days in advance mind you. There was rodent droppings, old dried food under the alliances, carpets smelt like old cigarettes and something dead! It basically was NOT cleaned, and was supposedly inspected 3 times... I have an abundance of flies because the laundry trash gets dumped (from my recollection) one every 2 weeks. There are and abundance of Wolf Spiders, flys and mosquitoes EVERYWHERE!! Pools are never opened (or maintenance is too busy to unlock them), the gym is only accessible through the office during there business hours, and staff thinks there above others. Utilities are double even tripled what was promised. I just received my first utility bill and I'm paying $86 for 2 occupants for 15 days!! In my building there has only been 1 washer that works in the last 1.5 months. I had family visiting from out of state. There's NO guest parking!!! You can not have family or friends over night because they need a permit but they're only issued to residence. Annette is the regional and hides behind the "lies" of her staff instead of dealing with the issue! They have major communication issues! Close to never returning any calls or following up anyone!! I'm surprised more residence aren't expressing there disgusted with not only this property but with the staff.
Property Manager at Odyssey Apartments, Responded To This Review
These are some very grievous issues you have been experiencing and on behalf of the Timber Lodge staff, we are sorry it has been so trying. BLDG Management (the current management company) has managed this property for only about a year. Before it was in BLDG Managements position there had been renovations and changes that had been done to the property under a different company, including full renovation to the model apartment. Due to this, the model is, in-fact, fully renovated to the previous companies standard, but not all units where updated by the time the property switched hands. As for reviewing the lease, if any of our prospective residents appear in person to the office, we do review the lease at the time of signing as a courtesy. At that point we do recommend reviewing the lease in full individually for a complete understanding of the terms. We do recommend doing this with any lease at any complex for the signers own understanding and legal safety. We do apologize if this was not clarified appropriately at the time of this issue. In addition, there have been many changes to the staffing at Timber Lodge to assist in a greater level of resident care. As for the state of the unit you were moved into, that, we greatly apologize about even occurring. If you are still at this residence, please do not hesitate to come by the office and we would be happy to assist in these concerns. Have a wonderful day.
I am a resident at Timber Lodge. I have had issues with spiders and cockroaches in my apartment. As any concerned mother I went to the office to make sure that I could get the help that I needed to keep my children safe. Recently, when the pest control man came my apartment he mentioned that I had bed bugs in the kids bed. He said that he documents everything and that it would be informed to the office. Last night I had put my children to sleep and my youngest one sleeps with me in bed. I felt I got bitten so I got up to check myself. That's when I noticed that I had bites all over. I started to check for the source and that when I found bed bugs in my bed. Today, I decided to go to the office and report the incident of the bed bugs. I asked to speak to a manager as it's a very delicate subject. Now, when trying to address the situation with Evelyn. She became very rude and agitated. She told me that she was not going to help me; that unfortunately the other manager was out in vacation and then went back to her office and shut the door. I was told that I have to wait until Tuesday for the pest control to come and fix the problem. At this point, after being mistreated I decided to go back home. When I arrived the babysitter mentioned that the baby who had been sleeping was now crying and wouldn't stop. That's when I noticed that she had been bitten as well. I am concerned that the staff working in the office does not have the proper training on how to interact and behave around residents as well as making comments about residents that have issues with other co-workers or residents. The only person that seems to know how address situations and look for solutions is Estela, she actually takes the time to know the residents. I also overheard two of the employees saying that my lease was not going to be re-new because I come to the office and report a lot of things. It was my understanding that when a resident has any questions, concerns, or issues we are supposed to go and report them so that it can be addressed.
They might look good but when you need something to be fixed it takes them years to get to it. I have lived here for over 3 years and have had the same problems since. Out of all 4 different companies that have came they are all the same and don't want to take care of their residents but they are quick to charge you. If I had the chance to move I would to a better place for my family and I.
