Apartments for Rent Near San Francisco State University
San Francisco State University is an energetic and innovative institution on the southwest corner of the city, next to Lake Merced Park. The campus is packed with cultural resources and creative outlets, from the renowned film school to the numerous art galleries. Keep an ear out for when you can catch free live music at The Depot in the basement of the Cesar Chavez Center, or just kick back with a game of pool or the vintage arcade machines that are down there anytime. One of the more unique features of the university if the bank of piano practice rooms in the Creative Arts Building, which allow anyone to come in and practice their skills on the ivories with minimal distractions (to either the player or de facto audience members). Of course, one of the biggest benefits offered by SFSU is its location in San Francisco. It’s no secret that the city is a major hub of art, music, food, nightlife, and history, and it’s all at your disposal at San Francisco State. Housing in the city (including near the main campus) can be rather pricey, but luckily the BART public transportation system allows for some added flexibility when seeking a place to live that is accessible from the university without a car.
