Property Ratings at O'Gorman Building
Providence has proven to be an incredible place to live and downtown is a wealth of urban living spaces such as my beautiful loft managed by Westminster Lofts. My neighborhood is significantly rich in all things desirable - culture, entertainment, great food; a small town feeling with big city amenities. My windows provide a great view of the changing seasons with the festive white light always illuminating the activity and character of the street below. I have easy access to my work at RISD and a great space full of light to do my studio work. Central air/heat; great finishes and a washer and dryer in my residence of 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and the rest a wonderful large open space. Zipcars are everywhere downtown allowing me to eliminate the expense of owning a car. Seriously, this is good living!
Westminster Lofts tenant living in the Burgess O'Gorman building conveniently located in downtown Providence. The building is clean, quiet and well maintained. Units are spacious and well designed with large windows, central air, updated appliances, glossed concrete floors and exposed pipes and ducts for a chic and industrial feel. The smallest units in this building (approx. 800 sq. ft.) are perfect for an individual or couple. Larger units are breathtaking with lovely views of the downtown area's streets, cafes and shops. Living in downtown Providence you get to enjoy the beautiful and historical city architecture without the crazy crowds of bigger cities such as NYC (3 hours away) or Boston (1 hour away). However, if you want to pop into either city, you can drive or take the train or bus, both of which are within walking distance to the apartment building. Pros: Great downtown living space, attentive property staff, fun neighborhood with fantastic dining options, walking distance to the best the city has to offer, quick drive to RI beached, beautifully designed lofts, dog friendly buildings, interesting array of neighbors in the arts, academia, nonprofit, finance, politics, etc. Cons: High rent in comparison to other parts of Providence, no private outdoor space, parking not included, no recycling in the building - you have to walk down the street to another building to dispose of recyclables.
