Tucked in the Pomona Valley, Pomona is known for gorgeous mountainous views—especially those of Mount Baldy, the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains. Formerly a fruitful agricultural town, Pomona is now a busy city and a college town, home to California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Western University of Health Sciences, and Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. Two additional college campuses, Claremont Colleges and Mount San Antonio College, are located just outside of the city. Pomona pays homage to its past be preserving historic buildings like the Fox Theater Pomona. The fully restored theater is surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shops, and art galleries in Downtown Pomona's Arts Colony.

Property Ratings at Olive Ridge Apartments
I’m Despite my two-year tenure as a model tenant, I am compelled to write this review due to recent issues with the management and office staff. Over the past few months, the management, with the exception of Dafne, who was exceptional, has consistently demonstrated poor communication and problem-solving skills. Notable incidents include: - An attempt to alter the payment process a few months ago, followed by a subsequent failure to process a payment, resulting in the first missed payment. - The main office manager disputed my responsibility for late charges that were beyond my control. (After Dafne intervened, I was awarded a one-time refund.) - A persistent roach outbreak that was never adequately addressed, resulting in ongoing roach infestations in my belongings after my move-out. The office staff have consistently failed to respond to my requests for assistance. I have requested photographs of the carpet damage and replacement as proof of the charges, which were posted on my portal, but have yet to receive them. The charges, from my knowledge, are unnecessary and excessive since when I left the carpet only had general wear and tear. These incidents serve as a warning to potential residents that the management and office staff may not prioritize addressing resident concerns effectively.

Hello, Thank you for your honest review. We apologize that we did not meet your expectations. Our community does offer a weekly pest control service, residents only need to sign up to receive service. If you'd like to reach out to the leasing office, we will be happy to further discuss and address any of your move out concerns. Wishing you the best, Olive Ridge
The gates are always broken, how do you need your gate opener to get out the complex??? parking is very limited although there are many spaces that are never filled and if you park in them, they tow your car and charge you 400 dollars to ger it out. One bedroom apt allows you ONE parking space so if your married or dating someone good luck to them and they care when it comes to finding parking. Homeless people live in the complex with you and stay digging through the trash for stuff. Security that is a laughing matter!
Property Manager at Olive Ridge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hi, we invite you to contact us, so we may discuss and address your specific personal experience. Thank you!
Gates are always breaking, the doors don’t get replaced, they don’t communicate with residents regarding crime or incidents. Please look at the crime rate online before moving in.
Property has not been cleaned for three weeks now. Despite numerous complaints to property management their is a huge homeless problem with homeless living in the parking areas. Cockroach infestation is in building 5.
Turn on the management no security homeless people always here stealing packages Unit prices are ridiculous they tell you your unit is refurbished and it’s not everything is older like AC units you can get better for the same amount of money in Orange County and be safer than in this place I’ve only been here less than two months and the management is the worst the management company is just as bad I’ve called them for five times never get calls back do not move into this place find somewhere else
The property is ok if you are in a bind and you need somewhere to live as soon as possible. Maintenance only does enough to cover problems. They frown on replacing appliances and they mickey mouse them and tell you that they are repaired. Further more, they charge parking space DEPOSIT plus a monthly fee for an extra parking space when other people park in the empty spaces without paying for them and they do not enforce their own rules. They say there is a security guard but after 2+ years living here, I have not seen anyone. Security Cameras around the complex do not work and the landscapers only maintain the front because they use those images for their advertisements. Over all, if you must, you must.
The lady’s in the office are friendly and helpful. The apartments it’s self is nice from the inside and out . I’ve haven’t had any problems since I’ve moved here ... the only bad part is how you can here the freeway and the parking in the front after 5pm sucks at times especially during the week .
Pros - Pros - Staff is on site every day of the week making any issues you may have easy to address. Plus they are very accommodating and prompt in addressing them. - The grounds are kept clean and tidy by the maintenance staff. - There’s a gas station right next door. - I love the close proximity to Bonelli Park. The overall central location is also nice. Cons - The only con I would say is that my packages have been delivered to the wrong apartment a couple times. I was able to get both packages back but it was a little bit of a hassle. Nothing the apartment complex can do about that though. Overall very happy with my decision to move here.
Pros of living at Olive ridge resort: it’s quiet, it has a very convenient location right off the freeway, it’s gated and there are a lot of amenities to utilize like the laundry rooms(multiple), gym and pool and spa. Not to mention the picnic area. One thing would be it’s hard to get packages delivered.
The apartments and the common areas are kept clean the office people are very friendly and very accessible 100% recommended ..... the only negativity is very little for the apartments next to the avenue due to the noise of car traffic I recommend renting the apartments in the back
First we were assured the apartment was cleaned and ready for us prior to move in. Our our exposed rafters in the front room were covered in grease and cigarette smoke, the cupboards were gross, the drain kitchen sink leaked so bad we couldn’t use it, the light switch for the front room somehow turned off an outlet in the 2nd bedroom, the microwave/range vent made crazy sounds, and the shower head sprayed water all the way into the hallway. Then we were invaded by bees!! Management took a house key and said it would be taken care of, but it has been weeks and there has been no communication and our key hasn’t been returned. Now we have TERMITES!! They closed the gym for residents but the staff still gets 24 hour access to it!! Homeless people dig through the trash all night, we were promised a night security guard but haven’t seen one in over a year. All oversized mail packages will be left at the front office in a unsupervised room with no working security cameras (we asked cause we had over 3 packages stolen). Oh, don’t worry about the posted hours in office window...they mean nothing. BTW only place to add money to your laundry card is the office (not in laundry room). If you are serious about moving here, don’t let bugs bother you, don’t look too closely at the plumbing, don’t look at the paint spots covering all the floors, don’t mind the 1/2” open gap around all the a/c units, or the single pane windows pouring in heat.
horrible ! and old! i suggest no one move here. Someone died when i moved in
They get as much money as they can from you, I can''t understand how they come up with all there fees. None of the utilities are includes plus you pay a $8 fee just for your bill being prepared. I have no problem paying my for my own utilities but, i do have a problem paying for sprinklers to be left on for 12 hours and paying a fee to have some company in the Midwest prepare my bill. Office staff at best is average and nothing in the gym works. The place acts as if there services are great when in reality they're below average. Washer machines are smaller and older then any I've seen, yet they charge more then a wash house. Gates constantly break and parking is a disaster. I'd like to know how 5 people in one apartment can all get parking permits. If you want an extra reserved spot(everyone gets 1) then be prepared to pay more, if not be prepared to park outside the gate, towards the end of the night parking is unbearable. If you do get a renovated apartment you'll eventually see that the work done is all cheap, if you don't then your apartment will match the rest of the place...Old. Outside appearance is definitely nice. it is average at best, but staff think the place is the Ritz.
