The historic neighborhood of Encanto is characterized by twisting roads, rich landscaping, and ornate street lamps around every corner. It’s one of fifteen urban villages within Phoenix, encompassed by an abundance of amenities including Phoenix College, Steele Indian School Park, Arizona State Fairgrounds, and Park Central Mall.
Located just north of Downtown Phoenix, Encanto blends the urban with the suburban, featuring quiet residences just blocks over from towering skyscrapers. Encanto residents enjoy access to metropolitan amenities such as the Heard Museum and the Phoenix Art Museum.
When you live in Encanto, you can easily walk to Encanto Park. The park was styled after 1920s and 30s English gardens, and incorporates many similar designs like winding roads and mature tree groves. Located inside the park is Enchanted Island, a family-friendly theme park with pedal boats, carousel, and a train that takes visitors through the island.

Property Ratings at Omnia on Thomas
Apartment is flooded with insects that come in through the vents and windows they do nothing about. It is completely unlivable. They pay for fake reviews on all these websites, please report them down. They turn off the AC during the winter so it’s extremely hot
Location - It's 15 minutes from downtown, Scottsdale, Tempe, pretty much everything you need on a day-to-day basis. Staff - The management/leasing/maintenance team is awesome. They're easy to get a hold of and ask questions, and maintenance has generally been responsive and helpful with any requests. There's been a couple requests that they either didn't fulfill or had to come back and refix but overall pretty solid. Anthony was super helpful in getting things set up. Security - pretty good; I've had other places where the gate just stays open the whole time but not here; it shuts nightly I believe at 7 PM and there's a night patrol that is fairly easy to get a hold of for noise/security complaints. Pricing - the price is a little steep for what you're getting if you compare $/SQFT to other places. Additionally, there are quite a bit of fees that will bump your monthly cost up about $200 or more which is more than I've experienced at other places. Utilities are normal but there's $25 for valet trash that you can't opt out of, another trash fee, pest fee, etc. etc. that will easily put you over $200 or more if you're in a bigger unit. Safety - this unit isn't in the best part of town and pretty much as soon as you get outside the gates you're liable to see homeless people and drug addicts on every corner. Neighbors - this has been one of my biggest issues; pretty much the whole complex is going to constantly smell like cigarettes and weed, which isn't the fault of management but is definitely worth mentioning. Noise - not all the units are brick-walled like the ones in the pictures. I've still found that the walls are pretty good at containing noise but the floors aren't. I can clearly hear my downstairs neighbors TV/music. Additionally, this complex is right next to a children's hospital meaning there are sirens through all hours of the night. Trash - one of the areas this complex falls well short in. The dumpster is constantly overflowing into the parking lot, there's dog poop left out, and trash left throughout. Bugs - I haven't seen anything beyond the occasional tiny thing that slips through the cracks. No bed bugs or no roaches, at least so far. Parking - there's plenty of parking to go around, and no assigned parking. However, there's very limited covered parking so that'll be an issue in the summer. Amenities - The laundry facilities are decent, nothing too substantial there. The fitness centers are pretty lacking on equipment.
Though I am leaving it is not for anything bad. I have spent the last year in one of the updated studios. Although small, the layout was good and it felt a lot bigger than I thought on the initial move-in. I have a bunch of decor/junk if you will so it got small fast. Appliances were all-new, with new paint and carpet. Complex itself has been super quiet there has been the occasional noisy neighbor but it was never like an ongoing thing. There is a courtesy patrol at night so I am assuming that has helped put a damper to the 2 am noise. Valet trash is great but you can't opt out of it. I was next to the compactor and just took it myself. I wish I could opt out. Always had parking available there is plenty of parking but the lot itself is kinda weird. I never got around to using the pools but there are pools all over the complex. Laundry facilities have always been clean but some other tenants don't like to read the obvious signs of "do not use powdered detergent" and keep breaking things. They fixed the washer/dryers in a relatively fast manner. There are also multiple locations to do your laundry so if broken or the place was full I had other options. One actual complaint I had is one of the smaller gyms on the other side of the complex I could never use. The office mentioned they were "updating it" but the whole time I have been there nothing has been done. So that was a bummer; the main gym at the front though is nice and has a lot of space I just wanted the convenience of it being closer. The staff has been great and the way they handle everything online is great. They are quite efficient even the maintenance staff is great. Putting in a work request online and someone is by the next day. They are in and out; on the few occasions, I have caught them in the unit always nice to talk to. Another annoyance I have noticed is the water is always getting shut off for whatever reason. Seems like it is always in the maroon building, (my building) so avoid those buildings maybe. One more thing about the noise I just remembered the complex is right next to the Hospital so expect lots of ambulance/siren/helicopter noise. Overall I enjoyed my time here the neighborhood is nice, tenants have all been nice. Typical noise level and the staff have been great. The reason I am leaving is that this unit is too small for me and it is too expensive in this area so I am moving out of town. If this place is in your budget then definitely check it out.

I really enjoy how quick every part of the staff responds. I have had minor maintenance issues and they were there the same day. Very clean complex. Very pet friendly and the tenants are very friendly too.

WARNING DO NOT LIVE HERE!! This complex was actual decent when i moved in for the first year. No major problems the first year, nice neighbors etc. Then it just plummeted off of a cliff. This disgusting pit is infested with drug dealers and crack heads and I've been cursed at multiple times just walking to my door. I got beg bugs which was one of the worst experiences of my life. My car was dinged multiple times because the parking is cramped and awful. There were crime scene vans here TWICE in the past 6 months (one incident was apparently a drug deal gone wrong), The terrible evap cooler is garbage and I had to sweat it out every summer I lived here. It used to be affordable, but now is waaaay over priced for the disgusting units they offer. My roommate looked out his window one night to see a cop on his belly outside his bedroom window waiting to ambush a drug dealer too. They also make you pay for valet trash that they don't even pick up most of the time, and send you nasty emails for their own team's failure to do their job. You want to know the real cherry on top of all of this? I thought i was finally free of this nightmare, until they sent me an invoice for 500 dollars for "pet damage" and resurfacing the tubs! THEY WERE STAINS ON THE CARPET AND FALL UNDER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!! This is your final warning, this place is not salvageable, DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!

Do. Not. Move. Here. And if you do decide to, at least take the time to read the lease properly. I moved here because the units were very reasonably priced and the management was quick to get the process going. However even in the one year I’ve been here there have been serious issues with management of the property and it’s treatment of the tenants. First off, there is a serious trash issue. The complex uses a valet trash system; however it’s service is very unreliable resulting in trash everywhere. There are trash bags that pile up in front of doors and other public areas. This of course attracts roaches and other critters, resulting in constant need for pest treatment. The pest treatment is never sufficient enough and infestations are a regular thing. In addition, there have been multiple cases of bedbugs as well. The city of Phoenix has had to been called due to these issues, yet they continue to persist. The overall safety of the complex is pretty questionable as well. There have been plenty of violent crimes within the one year I have lived here. Cars are constantly broken into as well. Police helicopters roam the area frequently. In addition, there are constantly tow trucks patrolling the parking lots daily looking for the tiniest infraction. It’s very predatory, more so than most complexes. The units run on a boiler chiller system. Most units have little ventilation, which means you have no control over the actual temperature. Expect your unit to be extremely warm, even in the winter. Utilities are shared per building and end up being expensive. Finally, even though management appears to care about their residents right off the bat, once you are in they completely neglect you and your basic needs. Water constantly goes out without any notice ahead of time. Getting basic services like pest control can take up to weeks because of poor communication. There have even been multiple incidents of management illegally entering a person's place of living. Overall, while Omnia may be one of the cheapest options in terms of price, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The negligence of the property and its tenants are not worth the headache you’ll endure during your time. Stay far away from this train wreck.

(Pros: location? Cons: unsafe, expensive, loud, hot, smelly, crime, poorly managed. ) Ok. Let's talk about what why I'm moving. And why this apartment might be GREAT for you! Do you like being woken up at 1am?? Great! The neighbors are SO loud and the walls are paper thin. Not the apartments fault but when I email them the office doesn't do anything about the noise disturbance. Do you like being hot ALL THE TIME?? Perfect! The heater and chiller are separate and only one can be on at a time. Currently the chiller is off (and has been off since October) and will not be turned on until April. It is getting to almost 80 degrees during the day and my apartment does not cool off below 75 and I can't sleep with the window open because if it's not the loud neighbors at 1am, it's a garbage truck at 4am or the leaf blowers at 5am. Also when the chillers ARE turned on the water is turned off about once a week due to maintenance and without running water the chillers just blow warm air. Leaving your apartment without AC during the 120 degrees summer heat. Do you like the smell of cat poop? Great! If any of your neighbors have an indoor cat you're going to be smelling their poop as the smell comes out the vents! Do you like the office staff losing your lease and charging you the month to month rate? Great! They do that about once every 4-6 months so don't use auto pay otherwise they'll charge you almost double your rent. Do you like the apartment keeping information from you?? You're in luck! You'll be forced to pay renters insurance and when you ask what it covers you'll be told they're "not legally obligated to tell you". Speaking of paying for things. Do you love being nickled and dimed?? Perfect! In addition to the mystery renters insurance you have to pay, you'll be paying for garbage vallet who don't pick up your garbage, and for "office fees" on each month of rent! Do you love having your car broken into? I know I loved it when my car had 3 windows smashed one night while the apartment "security" was on patrol or when people are shot during drug deals gone wrong! It's like living an episode of COPS everyday! So exciting!! Do you love dead things?? Perfect. There will be SO many dead and dying plants for decoration outside your apartment. When the plants do finally die they'll be covered over with gravel that your neighbors dogs will poop on and then not clean up!

Don’t let the cheaply remodeled interiors fool you, the management staff is horrendous. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone or reply to your emails unless it’s related to getting more money out of you. I have complained multiple times about the trash service, and the lack of enforcement of rules and was told to just deal with it. People leave trash outside their units and the feral cats rip it up and drag it everywhere. Parking restrictions aren’t enforced so there are broken down vehicles laying around and no spots left for residents. The buildings are falling apart and not getting repaired, there’s broken glass all over the place. It’s a mess. They will hit you with all kinds of hidden charges and fees and have made it nearly impossible to pay rent on time. They are brutal with evictions, I’ve seen so many people kicked out. Notice there is only one good review in the last two years, clearly a fake. Avoid at all costs.

I have lived here for 3 years, and I love this place. Have things broke down in my apartment, yes...however any services that were needed were fulfilled in a timely manner. An apartment complex is not responsible for the guests that tenants bring in, but when anything gets out of hand, matters do get solved. I enjoy living here and have been. Management has no problem explaining costs and rules to anyone who walks in the office. I love my apartment! Especially since I have made many friends here.
The new owners of the property have taken over management and are attempting to make improvements but this place has a long way to go. The main issue with this complex has been to people living here. I had someone living below me that would smoke cigarettes and weed all the time causing the smell to come up to my apartment. I informed the management and they said they couldn't do anything about it. The parking spots are extremely narrow and most the people here do not know how to park. My new car now has a bunch of door dings on the side. The laundry facility is always trashed along with the pool. The main gate to the community has been hit by cars twice in the last year. The hot water has been out twice in the last year of a day or more. The electric/water/gas is based off the entire building usage, and not by each unit. When it was 100+ degrees outside my neighbor would leave their patio door open so their dog could go in and out. I work all day and was gone a lot on the weekends, why should I have to pay for someone else's electric and water usage.
Stay away if you have asthma or are sensitive to tobacco and marijuana smoke...I don't have an issue with smokers. What I can't stand are people who smoke outside of designated smoking area, smoke INDOOR and the smoke comes into MY APARTMENT. Also littering is an issue and I had to sweep some butts myself the other day. If you're going to charge a premium for rent, at least keep the place regulated.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I've had an issue with neighbors for months and the front office just told me "We're gonna wait till you move out and see if the next people have the same issue." Take it from me, you'll be better off going ANYWHERE else.
I recently moved to Phoenix and thought that formerly Prescott on Thomas, now Omnia on Thomas was perfect. The office staff are friendly, HOWEVER, there has been no consistency and it is evident that customer satisfaction does not matter. Omnia has recently rebranded but a lot of their past still shows. I have lived here for about 5 months now. When I first moved a package was stolen from my front door. Within a week of moving, I came home to find one of my doors ajar and my locks required changing. Within the first month we were notified that someone was stealing clothes from the on site laundry rooms. Since then, the air conditioning has gone out. This week, the heat was turned on and in some units, mine included, I could not control the thermostat and my apartment was pushing 90 degrees. I called the office and was informed someone would go fix it, it did not happen. At one point, I wanted to switch to a second floor apartment and inquired and was given prices and information. When I wanted to move forward with the transfer, all of the information I was previously given was changed (this is not the first time either!). Although I believe they are trying to move Omnia in the right direction, the first step should have been customer satisfaction. I am just so disappointed and can not wait until this lease is over! Don’t do it!
Recently moved to Phoenix and stumbled upon Prescott. Moved in July 2017 so far the office staff is very friendly and on top of thing. Maintenance is great if I’ve had any issues the problem is fixed within 72 hours. Great price and amazing location.
Took them forever to replace the A/C filter like we believe we had to place the request at the beginning of the lease for them to come in 6mo to replace.. the gate at the front was broke. For the longest time and it brakes every other month. I just hate management they are rude and lie to you about everything and we being over charged for utilities way to much that's it's not fair people at our building had free utilities and we didn't so we were basically paying for their stuff!!! My room mate would always find bugs all over. I couldn't even shower because the drain was broke. And it took 3m 2 different request for them to finally fix it and I can keep going...
Well I looked all over the place for a decent apartment. This one seemed appealing to the eyes. Came in and with a little deposit was able to move in right away. The two ladies in the front where helpful. It was the older one who wasn't so. I got a studio. It's slightly overpriced but it will do for the short lease I signed. The biggest convieniece is the location. I haven't seen any bugs yet, I was told they spray weekly. Let's hope they spray good. The a/c is a little weak I hope it improves. Sinks were a little slow to drain. The parking is kind of stupid. I like to back in, the tow company that put its name on the lot restricts it. Some of the reviews are mixed. Needless to say I will post monthly on how it goes for over the summer and into the fall. The floors a decent, a little slopey but it's a nice fake wood. I got a gas stove which I like. A normal sized fridge. The studio did have a slight red roof in smell to it but I'm guessing it's from the cleaning and the spraying. It was pretty clean when I moved in.
Between the mold and meth heads not such a great place to live. The main security gate was broken for over a month allowing anyone in and out. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
I'm just a fan of The Haver on Thomas. There were so many issues with me moving in.
It is Gross! Overpriced. The place is too small. They turn off the air in the middle of the summer. There is also ALOT of roaches.
I have lived at Cabana on Thomas for the last 2 years, and I have always been happy with the location, the amenities, and the staff. The complex was recently purchased and is now managed by Mark Taylor Properties, and the cost of rent is very affordable for the area. My utilities were even included in my rent. The location is probably the biggest draw for this complex. It is on the southeast corner of 16th and Thomas Rd., right next to Phoenix Children's Hospital, as well as SR-51 and I-10 freeways. There are also a great deal of delicious restaurants nearby, including Barrio Cafe and La Santisima Gourmet Taco Shop. It is also about 2 miles from the light rail stop at Central and Thomas, and a five minute drive from downtown Phoenix and Arizona State University's downtown campus. The only slight downside, and this is really just an issue with the apartment I currently live in, is that bottom floor apartments do not get very much natural light. Also, while the brick walls tend to block most of the noise from the apartments next door, I can hear most of what happens in the apartment above mine. Overall, these apartments are a great value, the community is outstanding, and the location is perfect for anyone working or looking to live in the city.
