Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward district is a fascinating and architecturally impressive commercial, arts, and residential area with a wealth of creative businesses and artists. Located at the mouth of the Milwaukee river, this former warehouse district has become a booming mixed-use area with a lot of charm.
Located just south of downtown, the Historic Third Ward is on a short peninsula wedged between the convergence of the Milwaukee and Kinnickinnick rivers into Lake Michigan and is adjacent to Milwaukee's famous Summerfest grounds.
The neighborhood is home to award-winning restaurants, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, dozens of galleries, and unique specialty stores. In 2005, the Milwaukee Public Market opened its doors, showcasing dozens of vendors and artisan culinary specialists.

Property Ratings at Oregon Apartments
I loved my apartment, and never had any issues until I moved out. Many of the property managers (constantly switching out during my time there) were fantastic and very helpful. However, upon moving out, they tried to charge me to replace the entire carpeting, claiming a blacklight examination showed urine all over the place. I never had my or any pet in the carpeted room, ever. Not once, and I can assure you I wasn't urinating in there. No one was ever in there but me. They claimed a blacklight exam was done before I moved in and that carpets are professionally cleaned before a new tenant, but that clearly did not happen, and I was sleeping in a urine-stained room without knowing it. I was also told that an "operations manager" SAW my fenced pet walking freely around the apartment with me. This never happened in all my time here. Someone was lied to. Although I agree some damages were left by me and I am fine getting those taken out of the deposit, being charged heavily for damages not caused by me left a bitter taste in my mouth. Eventually it was agreed that I would not get my security deposit back and that was it, but later I was sent letters by a debt collector looking for additional payment anyways. Be wary of this company.
Oregon at South Water Works has been the best place to live for years. The unit is beautiful and huge for an apartment in the city. The building itself is so thoughtfully cared for and is always clean and put together. Maintenance has shown up quickly for any work order and have been able to complete them right away. Managements attention to details has been a huge reason why I continue to enjoy living here.

Thank you your kind words! We appreciate you and are so happy you enjoy your apartment-home! Best Regards, LCM Funds Real Estate
Management keeps all of security deposit regardless of cleanliness upon moving out and completely disregards normal wear and tear after 5 years of tenancy. Also get ready for verbal abuse by long term tenants! Would not recommend.

We are always happy to discuss charges when made to security deposits and we send move out recommendations prior to move out to insure tenants receive their deposits back. Nothing makes us happier than to return full deposits and happily we do it often. Please feel free to call me to discuss the charges made to your deposit.
Oregon Lofts is the best apartment complex to live in in the Third Ward/Walker's Point area. It is a beautiful, well-kept building with awesome management and great terraces/rooftops. It is also in the best location of downtown Milwaukee. Jori (the property manager) is the best there is. When I first met her, she was extremely helpful, honest, and showed me all of my options. Once I locked in the apartment at Oregon, she was very helpful with the move in process and cared that my apartment was in tip-top shape. Throughout the time I lived there, she was very communicative about the building and was always very responsive by both text and email. During move out, I was sad to leave. I only left this apartment because I was moving states. She was very quick to help me get new tenants, and move out went smoothly. The building has 4 main communal areas, which are all amazing. The rooftop views are the best I have ever seen in Milwaukee, and I toured many apartments. It has a view of the entire city skyline, Lake Michigan, and the Riverwalk. You can see both downtown and Walker's Point/Third Ward. In the summertime, there is even nice furniture to sit on up there to hang out and admire the view. There is a lower terrace that has a firepit, grill, and some chairs. There is also a community room and gym that has an iFit! The inside of these apartments are insane and unlike any others I have seen. When you first walk into it, you will be in awe of how open it is with its crazy tall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Both of these aspects of this apartment were what made it stand out from all others. Mine had a huge utility closet/laundry room and big balcony. Best part was that on the balcony, you can have a grill/blackstone! This was rare and made this place a hidden gem! The area of Third Ward was my favorite in Milwaukee. Good vibes, amazing restaurants, and lots of fun events going on. You are probably a 3 minute or less walk from Third Ward in Oregon Lofts - you just have to cross over the bridge. From there, you are only a 15 minute walk or less to the heart of Downtown. You are also very close to Walker's Point at Oregon Lofts, which had more good places to eat and hang out and other events going on weekly. Overall, I would not live ANYWHERE else knowing this apartment exists. Best place to live in Milwaukee, hands down.

Thank you on behalf of Jori and LCM Funds Real Estate for taking the time to leave such a nice review. We are the lucky ones to have tenants like you! Wishing you the BEST in your new location!
I've lived in a few different apartments throughout the years. Management there was awful and maintenance issues were just as bad. Living at the Oregon has been a breath of fresh air! The owners take pride in their building, and it shows! The amenities here are fabulous, too! This place is amazing and I'm glad to call it home!
