Property Ratings at Ormond Plantation
I would like to say our stay at Ormond has been a good one. We never had an issue that was not resolved right away. The entire staff from Property Manager to Maintenance are all very friendly and accommodating. The swimming pool was always crystal clear, patio area extremely clean and landscaping from pool area throughout the complex is well maintained and beautiful. I would like to thank the office staff personally, you have made our stay at Ormond a great apartment living experience.
Visited this property last week looking for a one bedroom for my mom. Although they didn't have one available, I still like to give credit where credit is due. The property is Beautiful and the office staff is super nice!
I grew up in Destrehan and wanted to stay close to my parents. When looking for apartments I felt very welcomed at Ormond by the ladies in the office. The apartments are updated and are quiet. Thank you for a great place to live.
My family and I just moved in a couple months ago and are pleased with everything so far. The outside is well maintenanced and inside of the apartment is clean. Great staff, they were very helpful with everything.
I enjoy living at Ormond Plantation Apartments. I've been here about 12 months and just renewed my lease for another year. I work a lot of hours at my job and it's nice to come home and relax at the pool. The girls in the office are always friendly and helpful.
I was not expecting the inside of these apartments to look as good as the outside. But I was wrong, management has definitely kept this property up over the years. I am recently divorced so renting an apartment will be life-changing for me. After seeing these apartments my mind is definitely at ease. Ready for my fresh start.
Made the decision to move within a month for a job opportunity from North Carolina. Debbie was extremely patient with me in my search to find the perfect fit for me and my family. I am very comfortable with my decision to reside at Ormond Plantation.
Great view i love the location. The managers are amazing and helpful.its location is close to everything i need.
These apartments are overpriced in comparison to the surrounding area. There are constant interruptions due to "construction" that has been going on ever since we moved in a year ago. The workers trash your apartment, and nothing is done to rectify it. They also notify you the night before regarding entering your home/turning off your electricity/water, and they're always later than the stated time. If I didn't work nights, I honestly would not have even seen the notices. Katie, the front office staff is rude and condescending. And apparently there was a recent gunpoint robbery in the complex that the staff did not notify tenants of - I found out from a neighbor. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.
Management is very active in the community and very nice. They always make time to listen to your concerns and work out any problems you have. The improvements and upgrades to the community are beautiful. Come see for your self, I've been here for five months and I love it here!
These apartments are horrible, the rent constantly goes up, the neighbors are horrible make too much noise, something is always wrong in my apartment, they are constantly in and out your apartment, if they have to fix anything in your closets they would throw all of your belongings on the floor, when they are done working in your apartment they will leave all of your lights on, the office staff is rude (DEBBIE) the mold in these apartments are ridiculous, constant fees, u pay a lot for nothing here. For the price of these apartment the Wash room should be free or the apartments should have a washer and dryer n them, I wouldn't recommend these apartments to NO ONE!
My wife and I came to see a two bedroom at this apartment complex today. We are looking to move into an apartment while our home is being built and this is by far the best place in St. Charles Parish. We really liked how helpful and friendly the girls were in the office. Katie showed us the renovations that have already taken place and told us abut the ones still to come.
Just moved in. Love it so far. Laundry room has plenty of machines. Very clean apartment.
Moved here about three months ago, very pleased with management! Very good location, Great schools as well!
The apartment complex was nice and quiet until the renovations started to take place. I had no issues, paid my rent on time and was left alone until they began tearing it all apart. First, it started with them replacing all the plumbing in the building and they would just leave the apartment open all day with minimal supervision and I just walked into my apartment two days in a row without anyone challenging me the first day and nobody in sight the second day. They said it was their process and wouldn't change, they have a way to make you feel your stuff is safe and secure. After they replaced the plumbing, they left large holes in the walls and closets in a unusable condition. So after you finally put the stuff back in the closets, three weeks later they decide that it is now the time to do drywall. I was getting used to hole in my apartment that looked into the neighbors apartment It was like a little cubby hole. They dont care about a resident comfort during the renovation, its quite sad. Nice apts but theses renovations have made me upset with the company and they dont care about the tenants in the planning phase.
They are renovating, but they are indeed hit or miss with notifications. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. The constant hammering sounds throughout the day for months seems to have stopped, but it is still very loud during the day. Hopefully, after the renovations the apartments will be worth the high price they charge.
Yes the apartments are being renovated and yes they need to enter your apartment. But in all fairness people this is a big complex and giving each and every person an exact date and an exact time they need to enter is impossible. Outside contractors are used not staff on hand. They have no real control of how fast a crew will work other than the time frame given a few days prior to them needing access. Oh and by the way the contractors don't work 24 hours a day. They work till 5 in the evening like normal every day workers. I've read how rude one person said the staff was but I'm here to tell you this is not the case. I waited a month before posting a review as I wanted to insure I was giving an honest review. It's quiet and the staff is friendly. Heck you don't want to replace a light bulb then just leave your new one on the counter and tell the staff. Guarantee by the time you get home from work that new bulb will be put in and the old one gone. People can you really complain when the staff is so tentaive? I myself have had great response to any requests. My hats off to the staff and the apartment itself.
This was a new experience for me to rent an apartment. I was happy to have such nice people help me with the decision of renting this apartment. The office staff (Ms. Debbie and Ms. Katie) was great with walking me through this process of moving into my new home. Very peaceful and quite and my neighbors have been very friendly. All-around a great place to live.
Staff is very disruptive if you are trying to sleep during the day. They will give you notice that they need to enter your apartment, but only say at some time on some day in the next seven days they need to enter. They also turn off your water without notice and the "improvements" that they have been working on (to justify their high rent prices), are extremely distributive you are pretty much unable to sleep if you work shift work at night. There are cops here every other weekend and constant noise during the day.
Been here over a year now, the property is always kept up very nice and clean. Front office and maintenance workers very kind and always get the job done.
I have been here almost 2 years now and never had a problem! I have went from a 1st floor to a 3rd floor and it's still not bad! The apartment is very neat and well kept up with. The front desk is very very helpful, and overall this is just the best place to live in the area for a apartment. My brother got an apartment elsewhere and he just hates it. Ormond plantation is very clean and know what they are doing. I rarely have something that breaks and needs to be repaired. Very awesome place. Thank you for your awesome service
I've been a resident for about 3 years now and I love my apartment. I'm pleased to see the renovation taking place it was time for a facelift not to mention how excited I am that they are installing washer/dryer hookups that's a PLUS for me and will save me so much time. One happy girl!
DEBBIE the office manager is so rude and unfair, The day I signed the lease on a 3rd floor apt a 1st floor became available but would not let me change. After my insisting and a threat to call the main office she gave in but made me pay 2 extra months rent until the 1 st floor was ready, even though I did not move in for 2months, Then after moving in a smoked filled apartment that my children clothes stink and even my furniture smells, I have to live like this for a year. These are the worse apts ever, the a/c keeps breaking 5 times already this year. Nothing is clean or livable like the model they show you and you can not see the apt. you are getting ahead of time, so you don't know what you are really getting like a smoked filled apt and living next to people who smoke marijuana on a regular basis and the odor comes thru the wall. As far as the money goes, I think she kept it or gets a big bonus on what she saves the company. I even told her before moving in that I have asthma and need a smoke free apt, but I guess it did not matter to her, she does not have to live there. It is a health risk to me and my children. I would think again before renting at this apt complex
