Property Ratings at Osprey Landing
This is a family neighborhood with lots of diversity and community. The staff are exceptional and living here is so much easier than being a homeowner. The location is perfect, a few minutes from 95 and downtown. Many grocery options within minutes also. The only downside is the outdated kitchens.
This is far from a quiet neighborhood. The children here are obnoxious, and the parents dont give a crap. Kids ridding in front of your windows 7am, kids outside playing on the fields screaming as loud as they can, kids outside until MIDNIGHT, WITH NO ADULT SUPERVISION, screaming, running around, being obnoxious. There are many inset rules here that the tenants ignore, and its very frustrating. Dont even bother complaining to the officer, cause they wont do anything, they always lie and say they do, but they dont. No video cameras at all. Infested with skunks, and i mean INFESTED. Every year, spring/summer/fall. The skunks come back and spray every night because of the kids scaring them, or the neighborhood cats. You can never have your windows open, EVER. The office never does crap about it. There are way too many outdoor cats to count, that run around every day. Even though there are rules against it. Neighbors are obnoxious rude people, with lack of intellect. Lots of crime, and vehicle damage. Office never does anything about it. Good luck finding neighbors who you can get along with. Lets not forget the little "pow wows" the parents have in the back yards, or in the front, sitting there all day talking, until late hours of the night. Kids will come right up to your deck, no privacy at all here. People leave their dogs tied out, or let them roam without leashes, do not pick up their poop. The apartments have crappy old appliances, the kitchens suck, terrible cabinets. The windows are poorly insulated, mold grows quickly. The apartments are very cold in the winter, the heating sucks. The maintenance never fixes ANYTHING. They jerry-rig it and call it good, they will do anything to avoid replacing something. They over charge you as well. The rent goes up every year. Not worth the money!
I love my apartment, I have all the amenities of a home, plenty of room and very cozy. I live close to many stores, gas and the location is just off of the 95 highway, very convenient.
When I moved into my apartment, I told myself, "I'll give it two years. If I like it I will stay, if I don't, I will move on." I will be renewing my lease in September. I am now going on 17 years! Wow! The location is PERFECT! I live in Portsmouth, NH. I am right off Interstate 95. I can jump on the highway and be in Maine in 5 minutes, go South and be in Boston in 40 minutes (depending on traffic, of course), go east and will be at the beach or drive west and be in the mountains. So awesome. I live within walking distance to a grocery store which comes in handy during snow storms. The apartment is a two bedroom, two bath, 1176 sq. ft. townhouse. It is like living in a house with the exception of close proximity neighbors. My backyard is the bomb! I have a sliding glass door with a ground floor deck big enough to hold a gas grill and a picnic table with an umbrella. There is a built- in shed that can house seasonal decorations, three A/C units and a bike. The backyard is like living on state park grounds with sightings of rabbits, turkeys, woodchucks, squirrels, skunks and birds. There is a wooded boundary for privacy. Closet space is more than ample and the walk-in closet in the master bedroom is big enough to transform into a computer room. Snow removal and landscaping is all provided by the complex. It is the best place to live in all of New England! Oh, did I not mention that it is just minutes from downtown Portsmouth!
