Though it took until 2003 for Louisville to officially annex the community of Fern Creek, the neighborhood has long held a reputation as a quiet, inexpensive retreat from the busy city. Fern Creek sits roughly 15 miles southeast of Louisville's city center, and is a convenient setting for commuters who prefer to live outside the busy city center. Residents of Fern Creek take pride in both the safe, friendly atmosphere of Fern Creek and the manageable cost of living in the neighborhood.
There’s plenty of room to grow in Fern Creek. Most homes have sizable lots and appealing lawns, and there’s little traffic to speak of. Just to the north are two upscale country clubs if you’re looking to practice your golf swing. Thankfully, with the city just a few minutes away, commuters won’t feel too removed from the action.

Property Ratings at Overbrook Apartments
They are worst of the worst Management & worst of the worst people , Don the guy who is sitting in front of the office and the manager crystal who is sitting back of the office … they are trying to cheat with people , me & my wife lived here 6-7 years , the old management & manager was really good but these management are pain in butts, after this new management comes crime is everywhere in this property , three times shooting happend , so if you looking for safe environment for you & your family then look somewhere else … I just moved out in the end of August 2024 and since it was long weekend because of the Labor Day , offices were closed so I couldn’t return the keys at office , still when I called office on 31’st , one guy told me that you can come on 3’re September Tuesday because office is going to close on Monday 2’nd September, and 1’st September was Sunday so normally office are close , I wanted to return the keys hand to hand , because I don’t want to loose the keys on wrong hand , also at last time wanted to say happily good buy , but not to these kind of people , and now i know why they did this to me because any how management & manager don’t want to return me my deposit back , and ya they are going to do same thing with everyone who is living over there … good luck people with this one of the worst management I have ever seen …if you are living there then they going to talk to you ok , but if you move out then they gonna saw their real face that who they are …also they are going to enter in your apartment without your permission, and even if maintenance people come for any reason when you are not at home then they always left lights on , fans on … always … always … so please please please if you looking of nice community for live then this place is not for you … better to save your time and energy…
Property Manager at Overbrook Apartments, Responded To This Review
Dear Mr. Patel, I'm sorry to read your review and just to address your concerns, I/we the company work with integrity and respect to our clients. My maintenance team had to enter your apartment home because the unit's underneath was flooded, and you nor your wife had reported your unit being flooded. We tried to phone you to tell you that we had to enter, and, in your lease, it states in case of an emergency we may not have time to notify you. As far as the crime you mentioned this was before me except for the last episode in which I was brand new. We do not try to hold deposits and most of the time they are returned however you were told you could drop your keys in the drop box so that you would not be charged however you did not, so you were charged for the days you still had the keys in hand. We wish you the best in the future and hope this clears up some of your concerns. Respectfully, Overbrook Management
