I wouldn’t even know where to begin. The property itself is beautiful. that’s about it. however, maintenance is terrible and rude which is a bummer because EVERYTHING is always breaking. within 4 months of moving the only thing that wasn’t broken was our stove and sink. Management is awful as well, you can’t get ahold of them ever. It took almost a MONTH to get our AC fixed in the middle of july and it’s been 2 weeks with a broken dishwasher and dryer. Our microwave was LITERALLY hanging on to the cabinet by a bottle cap and a screw. If i could afford it id break the lease YESTERDAY.

I went to see an apartment and had to wait about 20 minutes before being helped. I will say the girl acknowledges me when I walked in. Apologized and told me she would help me next. Then offered me a beverage and popcorn. They did not have what I was looking for but her personality was amazing. If you are needing an apartment asap go see Rachel.

I’ve lived here for 3 years, this is my third apartment in the complex. It’s terrible, don’t rent here. I can’t wait until my lease is up. These are old apartments, with problem after problem with maintenance issues. Maintenance takes forever respond to your request, my bathroom flooded as a result of them not responding in 3 days. Office staff is awful, they haven’t responded to calls and emails in at least a year.

I have been at The Overlook at Bear Creek for over a year now, and i gotta say my stay has been amazing! The community is always clean! Maintenance is very prompted about getting work orders done, as soon as i put in any maintenance request its done the next day. Ashley (property manager) is so nice and sweet and genuinely and cares about all her residents. She has went out of her way numerous times to help me with my past issues. Thank you Ashley! Have you seen the staff in office? If you haven't, your missing out! Amanda, Alexa, and Laura always make conversation with me when i step into the office to get a package, or if they see me out on property walking my dog. I love living here, and will continue to renew my lease!

I have been at Overlook Apartments for almost two years. With any concern I may have, any issue I may have in the apartment I rent has been resolved with amazing customer service and with quickness. Maintenance is always on point and the office staff are friendly as they come. Alexa and Amanda have been there with open arms with anything. I highly recommend this place because it’s safe and great for having a family here to live.
I have lived at The Overlook at Bear Creek Apartments for 5 years. Living in this community has been a positive experience. The staff from the Property Manager to maintenance have been fantastic. My maintenance needs are completed within the same day. The guys are friendly, polite and professional. When I call or stop by the office I am always greeted by my name and very helpful with any of my needs. The property overall is always kept clean. Very comfortable having guest come to my home to visit me.
Terrible all around experience in our almost 2 years here. We are looking forward to ridding ourselves of this place and apartment living all together. The positives are as follows- Amanda does what she can to make this place worth living in, but she can only do so much and has to answer to whoever makes the last call. She’s the best employee in the place in my opinion. - the location is convenient. - floor plan is good. - the neighborhood is quiet. Other than that, it’s all bad. If you move here, prepare for headaches. We’ve had flooding issues and it took 4 days (the first time) for maintenance to come take a look at the irrigation drain outside our apartment. They attempted to clean it, and 4 months later the same thing happened. The managers response was “it rained really hard.” The gutters had little to no water running out of the bottom, but were overflowing at the roof catches. Poor facilities maintenance 101. Lack out accountability. I fix the small issues myself because you can’t count on anyone else to do it right or in a timely manner. Water bugs have been an issue for a while and recently a few cockroaches. It took longer than expected, but someone came and I hope that’s done. Maintenance used to be somewhat efficient. Now, we usually have to call multiple times, make in office visits, leave messages and send email requests before anyone comes to fix anything. I’ve just fixed everything myself if the cost is minimal because there’s nothing dependable about this operation. If you’ve read all of this, I hope you enjoyed it. There’s plenty more to add but I don’t feel like typing anymore. Have a good day, I know I will ;)

Please rent anywhere but here! The staff is nice because they have a quotes to make on getting people in. 200 just to hold your apartment. Wink wink. That’s when the nickel and diming starts. If you have a pet, throw away 300!!! You will over pay and NOTHING that pertains to mold or mildew will get fixed!!!! BEWARE BEWARE!!!!
When our house sold and we needed a short term lease, I immediately thought of Overlook as I'd lived there before and had a pleasant experience. We leased an apartment for 3 months and paid over $5,000 in rent and fees. Today they invoiced me for another $400. I feel like I was taken advantage of and raked over the coals.
I moved into this apartment in June of 2015. The area is very peaceful and very much family oriented. There quite a few nice housing neighborhoods as well as apartment complex. My apartment is conveniently down the street from the community park. I can easily walk down the street with my daughter or take a short job around their trail, or walk my dog to the spacious and clean dog park area. My apartment is also very spacious loft style with 2 bedrooms. We have 2 entrances into the apartment which helps with a roommate style. The kitchen has plenty of counter top space which is a high priority for me. Lots of storage space with 4 closets and 1 pantry. The parking is also a huge plus as there are a few assigned parking spaces but lots of space otherwise to park that you wouldn't need an assigned spot. There is lots of trees and shrubbery that still give it a nice nestled away feel. I have not had any issues with pests so far. I lay out bug bombs in every apartment I rent but even with this apartment there weren't any pests. The neighbors are quite and friendly. The office staff is friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
I love the location and area. Quiet, yet easy access to Dallas and Fort Worth. I'd recommend this place to those that don't need to interact with people much.
Living at Overlook at Bear Creek has been the relief we needed as busy, overstressed humans. It's not perfect due to age and use but one of the quietest and more appealing complexes I've ever been in. Our rent is under $850 after most utilities are paid and we have the luxury of three pools to choose from. Our grounds are manicured and landscaped regularly and all of the old trees provide tons of shade. We walk our overactive dog on the sidewalk down to the city dog park. We love the location as it sets between DFW airport, Dallas and Ft. Worth. Our daughter can play on the playground here or we walk down the street to the city park. Other complexes are barely shaded or don't have as many amenities. We hope to upgrade for another year if the can 'wow' us with a great price again. It's worth a tour for sure.
Ok...where do I start...SIGH... My husband and I moved to Dallas for the opportunities. We searched up and down for a place to live. We came to Overlook, and at first, we were impressed. We viewed the floor plan that was available for move in and we loved it. A week later, after continuous looking, we decided that we wanted to move there. We got there last Saturday (10/11/14) to complete the application. I asked the agent again (after calling several times) to see if that same unit was still available. She told me that they just leased it out. Ok....So I asked her is there another unit available? She said yes, but it won't be available until 10/18 because they are still working on it. We said ok. We paid our $200 holding fee and $100 app fee. They processed it and told us what we needed to bring on the move-in date. This is where it gets crazy..... TODAY, (10/17/14) I get a call from them saying that our apartment is NOT READY and won't be ready until Tuesday!!! WHAT??!! HOW DO YOU TELL SOMEONE THE LAST MINUTE THAT THERE PLACE IS NOT READY??!! I told my husband to call them. He called and the agent said that his manager would have to call him back because he couldn't do anything about it. 30 minutes later, manager called me. She told me there was a mis-communication and it was a "quick lease". The apartment wasn't nearly ready for tomorrow. WHAT??!! So, this is what she tells me: "You have 2 options: we can move you in another unit that's ready for tomorrow, but you would have to pay more in rent, or you can wait until Tuesday." WHAT KIND OF OPTION IS THAT???!!! I told her that they need to refund our money back. She put me on hold for 15 minutes, then told me that she would be able to refund me the $87.50. I said NO, REFUND ME THE $300 BACK. She then said that she could only refund the $200 back by next Friday, but not the $100 app fee because they already ran the application. I hung up. We will be paying them a visit tomorrow to tell them they need to eat every last bit of the $300 because we would have never filled out that app if the apartment wasn't available when we needed it!!! Plus, the manager didn't sound very sympathetic to our situation. It was almost as if she didn't care.
