Settled in 1847 and named for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Milwaukie combines art, history, and nature with a fun and funky attitude. This terrific city sits on the southeast side of Portland and it offers a friendly atmosphere with a strong sense of community. The first settlers to arrive to the Milwaukie area, brothers by the name of Luelling, were orchardists who later developed the Bing cherry. In addition to this sweet claim to fame, Milwaukie is known as the Dogwood City of the West. For those who want to explore the town’s fascinating past, the Milwaukie Museum highlights the town’s history and is a historic building in its own right, a farmhouse built in 1865.
Living in Milwaukie, you’ll enjoy a variety of shops, wine bars and tap rooms, and outdoor adventures. The city is very walkable and bicycle-friendly, and several parks dot the Willamette River along the city’s west side.

"Don't expect security deposit back" Beautiful area! I moved in the summer of 2019. I was NEVER able to use the 3 amenities there which is why I moved there for the cost. The pool, sauna, and workout room were either broken or being upgraded, and then closed. No discounts were ever given for lack of services off rent. So then I move out. Spot clean my apartment, have carpets professional cleaned. Was told by management thank you for keeping your apartment so clean. Then they send me a move out statement stating 300.00 security deposit credited back to your account. Then they charge me 159.00 for cleaning- basic 1 bedroom. Then they charge me 150.00 for carpet 2 yrs wear. I called to clarify the charges and was told that's standard process. It was not written in my lease as a standard process!! "So they take back your refundable deposit at the end. So it's NOT refundable. They could be honest and say it's a 300.00 non refundable deposit for final cleaning, and carpet wear. They even ask for your new address so they can send you your deposit back. Instead you get a bill for money owed. "Sneaky people"

I love where I live. I can't wait till Covid pandemic is over to be able to use the amenities. I wish we could get a small discount as it's saving cost for property owners to not run the amenities but it's a pretty place. The view from the bluff is everything. I may move to a 1bdrm closer to the view eventually. Neighbors are great too.
beautiful property, great value, gorgeous views and great amenities. Seems like the kind of place you can have a nice sense of community
So far, the residents and staff have been quite friendly toward me and my dog. I LOVE the view from my apt., and I love this location.

The holes created to resolve that issue has created a cold draft throughout the apartment.

The Bluffs is a great place to live. It is living up to all I hoped it would be be I first filled out an application in July.
Location is great and if there is a problem they try and fix it right away
Specifically with maintenance and repairs, the response has always been within 24 hours.
The only drawback for some people may be the lack of public transportation, as Bus 34 does not run late at night or on the weekend. I love the location myself.
The area is beautiful and kept clean, and just looking out over the water is peaceful, its peaceful here.
The unreliability of the laundry facilities, how thin the walls/floors are as far as noise goes, as well as how busy the parking lots can get are the only things bringing it down.
Electric bills are so high. I really want you to switch to gas for heating in winter.
I would like to state that the new management is great! I have noticed some really great changes to the property like continued security patrol and the amazon boxes for packages. Thank you for making positive change. I would love to suggest that it would be nice to have WiFi available at the pool during the summer. It’s a selfish reason, I need to work on homework and prefer to be at the pool and I’m sure other residents would appreciate that perk as well.
it is a beautiful location, with excellent office staff. However, The building is old, and the rent is high.
