Property Ratings at Overlook at Westridge
I've been living here for 3 months and so far the place is great. Emmanuel the manager helped me with the whole moving process as life wasn't the best for me then but he made moving a lot easier. Maintenance fixes problems in my apt very quickly and Armando is great and fast when he does work orders. Parking can be a little tight at night so I purchased a garage space so I wouldn't have a headache in looking for parking when I got home or if I go out on weekends. Location is quick to Seattle and the grounds always are well kept. So far real good!!
We used to live at the Overlook at Westridge Apartments for almost 2 years. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with the management and the place. Here are the reasons: 1) We kept the studio very neat and clean. I was at home during the moving out inspection tour, and the maintenance engineer said he was absolutely satisfied with the apartment condition. Also, we cleaned the studio thoroughly just before moving out. However, when we received the move out letter, we found that they charged us for some ‘Damage’ as well as for ‘Standard Cleaning’. The letter did not provide any details, however the sum of all those charges was magically equal to our security deposit. We were really puzzled with it. We are absolutely sure we did not leave any damages and our apartment was really clean. We sent the email asking the management for some explanations about those damages and the amount of cleaning works. We never received any answer. 2) This winter construction works started just in front of our building. These produced really much noise. Even if you are at work during the day, this construction is still a huge problem because they work on Saturdays and in April and May they worked even on Sundays. I don’t even mention that the view from the window is blocked and as the result the apartment is even darker. Also, when proposing to sign the leasing agreement again, the management didn’t take into consideration this discomfort. 3) The studio apartment is very dark. The windows in the building are tiny and we used electricity almost all day long. 4) They say, they have a gym. And they do have a gym. However, the gym is opened during the office hours only, so if you work 9 to 5, you have no chances to get there. 5) The location and the apartments are nothing special. Nothing interesting in the neighborhood, and the nearest grocery is 10 minutes to drive. The quality to price ratio is very disappointing. 6) Several more facts about the management. They are extremely incompetent. If you want to find out if you need to sign any papers before moving out or if you want to get some explanations regarding your security deposit, they either have no idea or just ignore you. In fact, they don’t demonstrate any respect. Don’t live there, guys. A total waste of money.
I am currently residing at the Overlook at Westridge apartments in Seattle. This is the best kept secret of Iiving in Seattle, and If you need to be close to the freeways to get to work or venture out on the weekends this place is centrally located to 4 different highways that are just minutes away for access. If you are like me and like to stay close to home, there are shopping centers, food stores restaurants and wholesome entertainment all within 15 -20 minutes from here. The complex itself is quiet, secured with a timed gate and nightly deputy patrol. The management is professional down to earth and very helpful. I have only great reviews regarding these apartments thus far. The Overlook is family friendly and also great for the single people looking for a wonderful and affordable place to live that's close to work and play!
I have been living at the Overlook at Westridge for just over a year and am still loving it! The apartments are good sized, priced well for Seattle, and they are very dog friendly. There is a great pool that is never too crowded, and the grounds are really nicely kept. The location is great with easy access to downtown Seattle and freeways. Plus, even though you are in the city, you are off the beaten path and you feel like you are in a little oasis. It is a great place to live!
Lived here for two years and love the apartments themselves. Rent is going up so much though, and for very little space. Not enough doggie poo stations so it's a little inconvenient to dispose, but there's a little off leash park. Staff is nice, but their notices are a little passive aggressive. Also, they pick favorites. We almost got kicked out because of our dogs "excessive barking", but the neurotic dog right next to the assistant manager hasn't stopped barking for years and the thing is still here.
