Following Iron Horse Boulevard, which runs through the center of the neighborhood, and following I-820 to the south, Iron Horse is a popular location that extends from the Iron Horse Golf Course, located in the southwestern section of the neighborhood. Iron Horse is about a mile from Downtown North Richland Hills.
Iron Horse provides plenty of open space and mature trees, all while being within minutes of shops, restaurants, and downtown. A large shopping plaza on the north side of the neighborhood provides an Albertsons, Tuesday Morning, CVS, and other popular stores. North Park provides a playground, a disc golf course, and ball fields. The popular North East Mall is a quick trip using I-820, and NRH2O Family Water Park is about three miles northeast.
The star of the neighborhood, though, has to be the Iron Horse Golf Course. This beautiful course covers 6,700 yards and is a par-70 course.

I've been living here for two years. I love this community. The management is friendly and does a great job communicating the changes going on day to day. Maintenance is friendly, and they respond quickly to complete repairs. This is my favorite place.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! -10/10, run fast and far. They will lie to get you into an apartment there. Absolutely no respect for their tenants well being. We are in their "Phase 2" units which are updated, and next to the train track. I specifically asked Alexis when we were touring how loud the train was. She told me "It's not loud! You can't even hear it unless you're outside". That was the first lie. It is incredibly loud and runs at all hours, waking me up at least 2-3 times a night. I also asked on our tour about parking in-front of my garage in my driveway, which I was told that I could. Then 2 months into to living here, they changed their mind and said I can not do that! Parking close to my unit was one of the big factors for me when choosing an apartment and I made that clear when we were touring, so they lied to me and then changed their "rules" once I was past the point I could change my mind. Very deceitful business practices. Right after paying our 2nd months rent I called to see if they would let us out of our lease because this complex is not what they said it was, and I can't even get a full nights sleep. They told me it would be 2 months notice and 4 months of rent to get out of our lease!!! $6,000.00. that is absolutely ridiculous. Since I have complained they have started picking on me specifically. Trash pick up is from 6-9, but people have their trash out all day on trash days. I got home at 5:30 an put my trash out and at 5:45 was told I needed to put my trash back in and wait 15 minutes before I put it back out, which I did. All the while our neighbors had been out all day. To add insult to that injury, they "forgot" to pick our trash up that night, and many nights since then. Then last week I was out of town, and received a message that I had parked in front of my garage again, and that they were warning me that it was against the rules. I wasn't even home, so I asked for proof. They messaged me back that "oh sorry guess it wasn't you, must have been your roommate. We will contact him.". So I called my roommate and it was him, he was unloading tools from his truck into our garage, and wasn't even parked there for an hour. But they never contacted him to let him know that was against the rules, they obviously were just doing that to harass me. I cant stress to y'all enough how terrible this complex is. I can't wait to get out!!!
I have been here at Iron Horse , a little over 1 year now. This property is well kept by the maintenance team and the lawn service seem to be here once a week. The community is great and 5 minutes away from local shopping centers. The office team will always greet you kindly when coming to check on packages or putting in a maintenance request. The office team works hard to keep the residents happy around the property. If your looking to get your exercise in and burn the calories away, this complex has an amazing walking trail over looking the Iron Horse Golf Course. I must admit its peaceful to the human mind. I will always recommend this place to anyone seeking a place to call home.
As long as your bilingual you won't have a problem. I turned in a service ticket because the ice in the ice maker smells and tastes bad. I said I think the water line needs to be replaced between the refrigerator and the sink. The maintenance wrote on the ticket. Can not replace the city water lines. I was shocked. Tonight my smoke detector was going off when I got home. At 4:41pm I called the office to tell them. At 5:10 I had not heard anything and called back. They told me it would be fixed the next day. Really! I told her I could not go without sleeping and she said to push the button on the detector. It is twelve feet in the air. I can't reach it. Amanda in the office said it is not an emergency and will be fixed tomorrow. Now I get no sleep tonight. I think for a "luxury, maintenance free" apartment complex they should be ashamed of the way they treat their residents. The dog poop is a big problem too. Rarely do the dog owners pick up after their pets.
I have lived here 7 months and am very happy with the community and the staff. My only complaint is residence who refuse to pick up after their dogs, even when the dog bag dispenser is steps away. I know the Paws DNA program can be expensive to implement, but it 99.9 % takes care of those who are lazy and selfish! The complex is VERY quiet and I feel very safe. My neighbors are very kind and I have made a few friends. The grounds are maintained well, which is quite a feat as it is very large. The maintenance staff is very kind and my service requests have been dealt with promptly, within 24 hours. The office staff is appropriately friendly, yet are professional. I think people have too high expectations for office staff to become too friendly and "chummy". as they must maintain a business relationship in order to assure the complex is run effectively. We are very happy we moved here. Be aware...A train depot is being built adjacent to the east side of the complex. The construction is loud in the mornings, but the evening is very peaceful. I am hopeful the depot does not ruin our peace or cause issues.
First off they don't tell you if your unit will be near the railroad tracks. When we signed the lease we didn't know that they are literally outside our bedroom window. With this new construction of the train stop, they work all the time and make so much noise. The gates are always breaking down and being left open. So much for the safety aspect. And when that happens there are many cars that decide to come through the exit only gate. We also had a unit close to it so it definitely surprised us when we were trying to back out and a car came speeding through the gate. The pools are also always in repair and there's many people who aren't from the complex that like to come swim. I also think it was ridiculous of them to charge us a pet smell/resurfacing fee at the end of our lease. Never been a pet owner for over the year that we were living there. And the apartment is mostly vinyl flooring! Crazy. Seems like they just wanted to charge us something even if we left it clean. So for everyone looking for apartments in Fort Worth. Look somewhere else!!!
Lived here about 6 months foundation in my build is crack have huge cracks up and down my walls, some of my doors don't close or open. All that has been done is patched over cracks. Also office didn't sign us up for online payments and we tried to pay on the 3rd when rent is due and they were closed and don't have a drop box, went in next business day to talk to them they agreed not to charge us a late fee since we were not signed up for online. The next day the manager came and put a paper on our door that said late fees due now, went into office and talked to them office management played stupid on us coming in and talking to them about it, till we showed them our email from them and then they finally waived it for the second time this new management running this place has no communication between one another I'd look some place else if I were you don't get locked into a contract here.
I enjoy living at Oxford at Iron Horse. My apartment is fantastic! The administrative crew of Amber, Jamie, and Taylor are magnificent, and the maintenance crew is great.
This apartment complex has excellent amenities, and a fantastic staff. I've lived here for a little over two years, and loved every minute of it. Maintenance responds very quick with any repairs needed. Management is extremely reasonable and great!
Perfect location and apt. Very affordable! My building is brand new and even has an elevator. There are 2 pools and 4 hottub spas.

The apartment complex is nice, maintenance guys are helpful and very friendly. Apartments just got bought out by new company, but office staff remained in place and are helpful. Have a food truck friday event nearly every week.
After selling our home, we moved to Iron Horse thinking we'd stay until we bought another. We've happily been here 5 years now. The property is so beautifully well kept. The office and maintenance staff are such a friendly happy group, responding well to any issues in a qualified, professional manner. It' such an active community. Food truck Fridays, monthly breakfasts, seasonal parties, community yard sales. The sense of security is wonderful. You can walk the dog, let the kids play outside with the peace of mind that they are safe. The property has a safe place for them to meet the school bus. We've enjoyed our time here and have recommended The Oxford to our friends. -Enjoy!
We love this apartment complex, just renewed and moved into the new phase. If you are looking for a nice quiet apartment complex in a great location this is your place. Office staff and maintenance team is top notch and will handle any issues that arise. They have a wide range of floor plans to suit any lifestyle. Very pet friendly fully equipped with a dog park and plenty of doggy waste stations. Look no further for your next apartment.
This is an excellent community for families or singles. Very quiet. Offers 2 pools. Close to shopping and major highways. The management and maintenance staff are there whenever you need them and don't mind helping after hours. The property is very well lit for evening walks along the walking paths. Pet friendly. Management is alway thinking of ways to bring the community together with pool parties, free Saturday breakfast/brunch and even offer movie night for children while mom and dad enjoy a night out!! The apartments are very well maintained and also offers security gates. I am extremely pleased to call Oxford at Ironhorse home. My wife and I have been here for 2 years and ready to sign for another year!!
Quiet and serene. The accommodation at the Oxford is unparalleled in its proximity to everything, comfort, and its community sense. The diversity of tenants, metropolitan accoutrements, and down-home customer care combine to really make this place a superior apartment. I became a tenant in 2011 due to a job relocation and came to appreciate the care and quality apparent within the smallest detail of the place. From the maintenance service, to the technology driven payment system, each point of contact with this place was considered and built to be easy and frictionless. In addition I am a dog owner and lets just say that my friend appreciates this place as well, the dog park within the complex is convenient as can be, and just about 5 miles away there is a bigger dog park. Personally I enjoy this place and I have no reservations.
When I started looking for an apartment, I was really nervous. I had only ever lived in rent houses so I was slightly dreading sharing walls with people I did not know nor did I have any control over who they were. I searched and searched and finally found something I loved! As a girl living alone, My number one concern was safety. I love living in a gated apartment and being able to go straight into my apartment from my garage. I have lived here for three years and have honestly never had any problems. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone I have met is extremely nice. Anytime I have needed maintence or had a question for the office I have received help quickly. I also love that there's a dog park for my puppy. I feel like this complex cares about their renters and they show this by the weekly food truck Friday's, Saturday brunches, and many other activities. If you're looking for a nice, clean, quiet hole with plenty to do around you in the community Oxford at iron horse is the place to be!
This isn't just a review, it's a "thank you." We have lived in many, over 5, apartments and Oxford at Iron Horse is truly our home. From the welcoming feel you get once you enter the gates, to the sense of community from your surrounding neighbors. Every visit or call to the office, I'm not treated like a customer. I'm treated like family. I'm treated like I'm wanted here. Maintenance is fast and friendly. The grounds keeps do a wonderful job of keeping the apartment complex feel more like a housing development....it's beautiful! The inside of the apartments, and I've live in 2 different ones here, are very well though out, wonder attention to detail, with luxuries such as granite counter tops. It is a home, not an apartment. With all this being said, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for keeping this place that we, and many other families call home, beautiful, quiet and peacful, and friendly. We have never renewed a lease at another complex before, and we renewed ours here, twice. Thank you. And to anyone still questioning if this place is the right fit for you, please, come visit. THE GREATEST APARTMENT COMMUNITY EVER! :) THIS IS ACTUALLY THE 2ND TIME I HAVE MOVED HERE. I LIVED IN THE OLD PHASE 10 YEARS AGO AND NOW I'M BACK TO LIVE IN THE BRAND NEW UPDATED PHASE THAT HAS A BETTER KITCHEN, LAYOUT AND VIEW THAN MY HOUSE DID! MY NEIGHBORS ARE FRIENDLY, I FEEL VERY SAFE OUT WALKING MY DOG AT NIGHT. WE HAVE TWO POOLS AND AN AMAZING CLUBHOUSE (THAT I JUST GOT DONE RENTING OUT....FUN PARTY!), GAS GRILLS, WORKOUT FACILITY AND A WONDERFUL STAFF.
