Paces River

The people in the office never answered the phone. The maintenance man never fix anything no matter how many work orders you put in. I had to little backed up sewage, coming up my toilet. I had all kind of books, but yet and still we pay for exterminator with rent every month.. my kids didn’t feel safe it’s horrible. Please stay away from this apartment complex.

Rats, roaches, bath tub cracked, maintenance never shows up. Good luck getting someone on the phone in the office. Laundry rooms are always broke down. Have been without heat and air for over a year. Maintenance comes and “fixes” things while no one is home but don’t actually fix things. Mold in the vents and coming down the walls. Outside is nasty with trash and dog poop. List could go on. Would give 0 stars if i could.

Shootings, killings, maintenance takes months to fix things, trash bin is always full of trash out into the road. Management is terrible. Please if you have kids do not move here.

My time at Paces River Apartments has been excellent. I have no complaints. Management has fix any problem that I have had in a timely manner.

Resident for year and a half. Beautiful and convenient location. Friendly staff. Maintenance team responsive, polite, and gets job done. Our building quiet with good neighbors. Very happy here.

Paces River is a lovely community with spacious floor plans and a reliable office staff. Paces River is located behind Outback Steakhouse in a peaceful area. This is the only complex I feel safe living in as it is far away from the city while still being so close.

I have been living in a less than a comfortable apartment regarding getting anything done. I have been living here since March 2018, and the dishwasher is subpar, the cooling and heating is subpar, the stove is subpar, I can't even brush my teeth is the bathroom sink for over a week, I asked to please have someone come in and repair the bathroom sink, and it still has not been done. Yet, these folks are telling me to call the office again and schedule another appointment. Quite frankly, these folks have no respect.

Paces River has been a great community. Moved into the complex from out of state, the office staff has always been extremely helpful! Great location, friendly neighbors and caring property staff. Would highly recommend!

The office staff is always very friendly and has helped us out numerous times. The maintenance team is always friendly and professional. I really appreciate their hard work keeping the complex clean and functioning. Paces River has been wonderful for us and I highly recommend it!

Property has gone down during the two years that I have been here. Things keep breaking. When maintenance is contacted they give quick and cheap fixes. My roomate has a whole in the floor. The concrete that was supposed to be under the carpet was no longer there. The wood that lay under the carpet was exposed . It wasn’t fixed because it wasn’t deemed to be a safety hazard. Leasing office hardly calls back when requests are made for administration issues.

Love the community.

I have only been here 3 weeks, but I feel that the office personal are on top of everything. I know I'm going really like living here.

Maintenance takes forever to respond to work orders. A lot of times it seems as if there just riding around on their golf carts & then theyre swamped with tons of orders.

Attractive, good - sized apartments in wooded setting near interstate that are well-maintained with friendly staff. Current resident for one year who plans to stay a long time.

Extremely nice staff and maintenance crew. The upkeep of my apartment and outside the apartments are always kept clean and maintained. Youll love it here!

I just moved here and I seriously couldn't be any happier. It's right next to the Catawba river and the apartments themselves are tucked away in their own lil corner. Quiet peaceful and I'm so happy.

No parking space in the evening sometimes

Super quick repairs after submitting online request! They always make sure to call or email ahead when requested.

Nice apartments everyone who works here is nice. The yards are disgusting though. Dog owners can be fined for not picking up poop but people throw their trash in the yard all the time. The doorstep trash service is annoying. The trashman refuses to pick up my broken down boxes for days. He will pick up my trash but leave my boxes. The dog park is a very nice amenity. Water price each month is very low. Cats roam around the apartments and nothing is done about them. It makes walking my dog very hard. One person puts out food scraps to attract the deer which also makes it hard for my dog to do his business. There are no consequences for others actions. My 8 year old neice stepped on broken glass at the pool. Management and maintenance both work fairly swiftly to resolve the issues we have.

My freezer and ice maker went out I called Kim in the office she got with the maintenance guy Jonathan . Jonathan came out within an hour to check my problem the next day he fixed it and everything is working perfectly..

I've been living at the apartment complex over 5yrs no major problems have I encountered always been very quiet&peaceful

We have been here almost 3yrs. We love it! Office staff is always polite and quick to respond. Maintenance guys are great too. They always respond in a reasonable amount of time. Despite the pandemic (Covid19) staff is doing the best they can! They are really good!

I applied it took them 2 weeks to approve me no one called or updated me until I threatened to cancel my app. They advised the hold was that another community whom I had never rented from had me owing I called that community they had no clue what she was talking about. All in I got approved and they tried to move me into an apartment with mix match appliances and wet carpet that they only showed me a prior to me being scheduled to move. Management there is a joke as well as BH Management.

I do not know quite where to start with Paces River Apartment experience to date and how unhelpful the staff is at the location. At first glance and experience, it seemed like a nice place to stay while I got familiar with the area to see where I wanted to purchase. I learned that was incorrect. Once you become a tenant, the staff is not responsive. You submit a work order when you first move in and look through the apartment to get things corrected, good luck getting any of it accomplished. They are supposed to notify you 24 hours before entering your apartment per there lease agreement and I would assume there are some privacy laws as well and people show up randomly to clean the laundry vent with no notification they are servicing your building. They say they have a no drug policy, that is a joke too, the breezeway in my building smells like pot frequently. Vehicles and apartments were getting broken into including mine and the complex says there is nothing they can do even though multiple reports were filed for all the activities occurring. That issue was finally resolved after the tenant was arrested. They tell you they have amenities to use, which if you count an out of service pool during the beginning of the season that the opening was continually pushed or down for service or broken handles on the cable machine in the gym for months amenities, they can provide that too. The best was coming home to raw sewage in the bathtub and floor and when the emergency number is called for clean up, the maintenance technician calls a carpet cleaner but refuses to clean up the health hazard and only after having to send a notice to the apartment do they do anything over 48 hours later. Their lease spells out all the things you and others are supposed to do, the only thing they care about is getting their money. In closing, living at this complex is at your own risk because it is not what it is made out to be online or at first glance. I should have talked to more locals because as I did, they laughed when I told them where I moved too and the problems I was having.

I really impressed with how smooth everything went when my son moved into this apartment complex. Honestly it was not the place we were really thinking about but we had gone on line and filled an application out and that evening, Joanne, a leasing specialist, called my son. She was so helpful and accommodating that we did decide to move in. Joanne really made the move easy even from 300 miles away. The grounds and equipment is well taking care of, but it was Joanne's service that really won us over. Even after the move she helped my son out little things. While we were in the office leasing, another tenant came in about broken air conditioning. They had installed a window unit and had already ordered a new unit. This made me believe that when something went wrong they would fix it quickly. Overall- seamless move. Can't wait to visit again.

I have excellent credit. My rental application was denied because of a lien on my credit report. I had a dispute with the county over taxes. I ended up paying the taxes late so they issued the lien, and then a month later the county refunded me the taxes paid. It was just a misunderstanding. I proved the lien was not a valid claim by faxing Paces a copy of my letter of expungement from the county. I was still not able to rent the apartment and then they kept half of my application fee. If that's the way they do business, I'm grateful I live elsewhere.

I love living at Paces River. There are full grown trees all over the grounds. Two pools, a fitness center, two car washes, a playground for the kids, a tennis court, laundry facility and even a dog park!! My two bed two bath apartment is spacious. Two walk in closets, a coat closet and additional storage on the patio!! In unit laundry area!! We have great neighbors. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance needs are met in a timely manner. Come join us at Paces River Apartments!! It's a great place to live!!

Nice quiet community. It's close to all shopping, and seconds off the interstate but off the main road in a wooded setting. Friendly caring staff. Two pools, tennis court, fitness center. Wish the appliances were more up to date. Nice place to live, reasonably priced.

Paces River are decent apartments for the price you pay. The office staff tries to help you as much as they can as well as maintenance. The apartments are older so you can hear things around you occasionally but that is to be expected. The upgrades are nice to the apartments but I don't think they justify the price to go up each year when they only make the change once. When moving to another apartment on the same complex, they do charge you another deposit along with a transfer fee and pet fees all over again which I personally don't agree with. They don't give an incentive to stay even when you could go elsewhere and pay all those fees again somewhere new. I do like how the apartments are in a back wooded area rather than being right on a busy street. Overall Paces River is a good place to live though.

Very close proximity to night life, grocery stores, and easy access to I-77, as well as within walking distance to the Catawba River. The pools and work out areas are very well kept, and luxurious in a sense. The buildings are clean and have many amenities that are highly sought after. The windows and doors are often drafty and make for a high utility bill, and the pricing on the upgraded units is very much over priced. All and all, the complex is quite and serene with solid scenery and convenient location, it's hard to beat paces river, unless shopping on a budget.

My AC has been in and out all summer!!!!!!! The management is horrible
