Property Ratings at Pacific Bay Club
It’s been really nice living here so far! I will say the units that aren’t updated have some really dated cabinets and appliances, but it’s just a cosmetic thing. Maintenance has been really quick to respond to any issues and are really friendly. They have an app you can download for the community which is really convenient! Everyone here resident-wise is also really friendly. Grounds are well maintained, it’s a really safe area and parking isn’t an issue. Very happy so far.
I am really happy to say that Pacific Bay Club is a great place to live. Robin the manager is amazing and maintenance are always professional and friendly, most importantly they know what they’re doing. Thank you Cody!!!
This is a good place to live. Quiet all around except for the freeway right next to us. Maintenance has been a great help this whole year I’ve been here. Anything goes wrong, they are usually here within the next day or the day of. Tim is the best maintenance man I’ve ever had being in apartments. As for the front office, I can’t say much. Overall, great experience so far and it’s down the road from my job! :)
Pros: the 1-bed apartments are large, the renovations are solid (granite/floors/etc), maintenance is usually fairly quick. Ample parking, friendly neighbors with friendly dogs, and location is in a safe area near pretty much any stores you'd want to go to. Overall a quieter complex with quieter neighbors than some of the bigger ones in Ahwatukee. Cons: noise next to the highway. Loud landscapers all the time. Questionable management at times. In general it was a good place to live, but there are some issues. A couple times our water was turned off without warning due to renovations in nearby apartments (but these were short shutoffs). My 3rd floor apartment had some weird periodic vibrations in the floor that we decided were due to the HVAC, and they didn't cause issues, but were unusual. The leasing office is sometimes unresponsive via email, but were reliable in person or via phone. Ralphael, the assistant manager, is great. Robin, the (new) manager, is terrible. Maybe peak inside at who is in the office before going to them for anything. Also, if you don't like roaring highway noise at night, don't live here. The I-10 will wake you up in the middle of the night. The community was generally safe, the area is nice, and I didn't have many maintenance issues during my time here. Some reviews felt the area was unsafe, but I didn't have any problems (cannot speak for others however).
If you’re a light sleeper or have kids or generally like your peace, don’t live here. Especially being on a bottom floor unit they’ll tell you it’s just part of living an apartment to have noise. No matter how much I’ve told them over the last three years that the sound needs to be addressed, over the years they’ve continued to move people in and out without so much as taking a toe out of what they would usually do. I’m referred to the police over noise complaints when people are being loud over my room at 3 am instead of the office dealing with it themselves. I’ve also paid a steady rent increase since I’ve been here, which makes the lack of action from management even more frustrating. We’ve had rodents get into the wall that weren’t handled correctly. We’ve had items stolen from our front door. And again, it’s noisy, I haven’t gotten proper sleep since I moved in three and half years ago and I can’t wait to leave.
The property is older but has a lot of great features.Love the water feature that is out front of the office and pool area. The pool and spa is open 24/7 which I love since I work late hours.Maintenance is always o top of stuff , call in today done by end of next day.
Property Manager at Pacific Bay Club, Responded To This Review
Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Pacific Bay Club! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care!
Definitely a great place to live! The staff, Tanya & Elizabeth, are always welcoming and pay close attention to needs needing to be addressed. There has been little to no maintenance issues over the past couple years I’ve lived here. I’d highly recommend making this your new home sweet home!
Property Manager at Pacific Bay Club, Responded To This Review
Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
I've been living here for a year and when I first moved in, there were roaches. Thankfully the problem was handled and within a month they were gone, but then they had people come in to fix the dry wall in my closet and never put the shelves back up. The bathroom tub is a weird plastic material, most of the outlets are loose and the noise is constant. On Tuesday's the landscaping guys come out in the morning and at random times there is loud banging because something always needs to be fixed. The windows are right next to the stairs so you can always hear someone having a full blown conversation and there is no assigned parking, just parking passes which is not the brightest idea since there's never room for visitors to park. Other than that the ladies at the front office are great, very helpful and kind.
Unfortunately the service at Pacific Bay has been on a steady decline. Management is more concerned with squeezing every penny out of their residents and maintaining the facade of a nice property, as opposed to actually maintaining a nice property. The manager is incompetent and fake and spends more energy placing the blame on both her front office staff and the corporate staff she reports to than she does trying to resolve something. The gym equipment is run down and dingy. The mail room door is constantly broken. The pool always has children unsupervised and the hot tub is unsettlingly green. Cops are always being called due to shady characters living there and obscure behavior. Its unsafe. Recently they took away assigned parking, and the staff actually goes out of their way to put stickers on cars and blame the tow company. They raise rent in very large increments but offer no upgrade or incentive to re-sign a lease. I finally decided to leave after 3 years, which is my fault for staying that long, but do yourself a favor and rent from a different chain of properties that actually puts your overpriced rent to creating a comfortable living space.
Lived in these apartments since 2011 and management and maintenance have always been nice and helpful. Thew complex is clean and we'll kept. Front office people are very sweet and welcoming. I had a small one bedroom for my 1st year and then transferred to a 2bed 2bath. Both units were very nice, warm, and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for nice calm place to live. These apartments are very close to shopping which is very convenient.
Depends on where your apartment is. If you are lucky enough to get one of the nicer apartments, its worth it, but if you are not, well then.
Moving to the Desert can be hard, but when I first moved here, the staff was very nice and quick to get me moved in. This is a pristine spot to get wherever you need to go. It's close to the University and Downtown that you really have no trouble getting around. The atmosphere is wonderful with a pool, fountain, a gym, and little gazebos for those late night with friends. They are always updating the apartments and making sure everyone is safe around. It's a little oasis in the middle of the Desert.
