Property Ratings at Pacific Place
Have been living there for 7 months now and it is probably the best value for money you can find in the area, BUT it has a lot of flaws. Fire alarms are very sensitive and are coming on at least once a week. There is a flooding alarm on the first floor that is triggered almost every night and stays on for hours. Made more than a dozen attempts to notify the leasing office about the issue, but it is still coming on. Very thin walls so you can hear your neighbors often. The elevators are not reliable, and the screeching noise that they make is terrifying, got stuck there recently. When we toured the property the washer and dryer were nice and new. But when we moved in our washer and dryer were old, rusty, and loud. When we asked the leasing office about that, they said that the show apartment probably had the washer that the previous tenants left, and they could not do anything about it. The non-smoking policy is not enforced and we can often smell people smoking weed and cigarettes on the balconies. Front doors have gaps and the whole apartment looks like they used the lowest quality cheap materials.
I live here for 16 months now and just want everyone know plz plz stay away Building always has issues Elevator most of the time not working Pool and jacuzzi not working for over two months Fire alarm goes on out of nowhere at 4 or 5 in the morning
The apartments have significant issues including: -no hot water -electrical problems -broken appliances - damaged/stained carpets The community manager is difficult to reach and not helpful. Fire alarms go off usually at least 1x a week, often more. They are rapidly increasing rents above market value to try and lock in higher rates for renewals. Parking lot gates and doors are often broken and left unlocked/unsecured. Multiple tenants reported being attacked and/or robbed so they disabled the communication features between residences and stopped allowing comments/reviews. I could go on and on - not a safe place, terrible living conditions, poor management, over priced.
When considering this place, I looked at the reviews and thought it couldn't really be that bad, and I could not have been more wrong. It is even worse experiencing it in person. The biggest complaint is the noise. DO NOT live here if you want to sleep between the hours of 11pm and 5am, it's not possible. First off half the units face the 405 freeway so expect to hear the cars at all hours of the day. Secondly, as many people mentioned previously, you are more likely than not going to get neighbors blasting loud music with bass that shakes your unit, literally. When you seek assistance from management, you will find out that it is non-existent. Their only solution is that you transfer to another unit, which they charge a large fee for or break your lease early which they charge an even larger fee for. So currently I am stuck living in a unit that has been made uninhabitable by noise pollution for several more months until my lease ends. Speaking of leases, be sure to begin negotiating your lease before resigning at least several months before it ends. They will constantly raise the rent amounts one month before the lease ends, which they are allowed to do, but by then you probably won't have enough time to find another place. Finally, in my year of staying here, I have had two different pest problems. Once was a hornets nest on my balcony, and the other was a termite problem. In summation, absolutely do not consider living here! The unlivable conditions are not worth the absurdly high prices.
I have lived here for the past three years, up until the past year or so we were completely satisfied. For approximately the last year, however, we have been dealing with an upstairs neighbor who plays music with heavy base that reverberates throughout our bedroom often past midnight even on weekdays. The 10th and most recent incident the resident REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAK, CIRCLED ME IN A THREATENING MANNER, AND VERBALLY THREATENED ME. I contacted the supervisor whose only advice was to continue calling on-site security, which has done absolutely nothing, and to call the police if I feel I am in immediate danger. Despite all the MANY times we have contacted the leasing office about this they have been largely unresponsive. Over the past year, the ONLY option they have provided is that we move to a new apartment. For this reason, we have had to take matters into our own hands and consult an attorney.
I have lived here since February and have wanted out since May. First few months were great. Last few months have been terrible. Noise problems go unresolved. I have been complaining about an unruly neighbor for months and management has done nothing about it. They claimed back in June I had not been contacting them yet I produced emails and phone records that show that I had. The problem with the neighbors has continued and they do nothing about it. Do not live here.
Pacific Place is a great place to live if you have a dog and want to live close to everything (beach, airport, restaurants, freeway, schools, mountains, amusement parks, entertainment, etc.). You are just close enough to get to the beach in less than 10 minutes or want to get to Hollywood or an amusement park in around 45 minutes. The ammenities inside the apt are modern and the management are proactive maintenance of the property. The pools are large, sparkling and clean. The recreation room and theater are easily accessible and can be reserved for private parties. The parking is a little awkward due to it being underground and in tandem, so so you need to coordinate with your the people you live with if one of you have parked behind one another. The mgmt is nice and friendly and easy to work with.

Spacious complex with easy access, close to 405 freeway. Secured building with underground parking. 2 pools with BBQ area and jacuzzi. Work out area and relaxing area for socializing. 1 bedroom 1 bath with loft is very nice and has plenty of room. Upgraded kitchen and bath with washer and dryer. A great place to live...Cooling ocean breeze in the evenings.
My boyfriend and I have been living in this 4-floor apartment complex since the beginning of the year. It's a pretty big community located on the edge of El Segundo at the 405 and 105 freeways. It is in a somewhat commercial part of town so the only neighbors are those living with you in the apartment as well, lending to lots of available street parking on top of the guests spots in the two parking garages. Each apartment comes with one reserved spot with the opportunity to rent another for $75. The ammenties included are two swimming pools (one heated and one not), two Jacuzzis, a gym (open 24 hours), a conference room, and a theater room and rec room (both of which can be reserved for personal use). The apartments available range from studio lofts to 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms. All apartments come with carpeted living areas, tiled bathrooms, and hardwood floor kitchens. The kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher) as well as granite counter tops. Each apartment also comes with a full-sized washer and dryer as well as central heating and air. All appliances are energy efficient. Thankfully, being this close to the coast it stays relatively cool out. Most units come with a balcony and storage closet and all tenants are allowed to own a propane bbq although there are also community barbecues available at both pools. The community is pet friendly. Although there is a pet deposit and pet rent, there is only a limit of 3 pets per household and no weight limit on dogs. Only a select number of breeds are not allowed. There is on-site maintenence available and staff members clean common areas often. We unfortunately have had to live through both a huge paint project and garage floor refurb, but for the most part it's been easy living here. The fire alarms do seem to go off often, but living in such a big community, it's bound to happen. No real emergencies though. The sweetest thing about living here is the management sets up for gourmet foods ever other week or so. It's pretty cool. Great apartment complex overall. Definitely shows in the price.
