Downtown Santa Monica is the heart of this bustling beach town. Downtown Santa Monica is home to the Santa Monica Beach, the Santa Monica Pier, and the Third Street Promenade, a sprawling commercial space with trendy restaurants, high-end brands, gyms, and more. Similar to other Southern California locales, Downtown Santa Monica is upscale. Rental options include modern townhomes, luxury condos and apartments, and beachfront houses overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You’ll never want to leave this vibrant seaside haven, but the neighborhood has a light rail station that will take you into Downtown Los Angeles.

Property Ratings at Pacific Plaza
I went through: Bed bugs, roaches, noise from neighbors, noise outside, regular downed elevators, slow hot water, dark dingey garage, crime, homeless getting in, laundry room issues. All for premium prices!
There are MANY cockroaches. There is no air conditioning. Laundry is downstairs and it's a mess while everyone is collecting each other's clothes. Security is never in place. No water flows from the shower head. And pacific plaza managers never return messages sent. All the machines in the laundry are broken and eating your money. When we tell this to the managers, they say it's none of our business and kick them out of their rooms. Never rent a apartment here. It's a waste of your money!!
The location is great! Building is a bit old, but the trade off is that it's way cheaper than other building in Santa Monica. The issue is with the rental office staff. The manager Cheryl is confrontational with an unfriendly attitude. Matthew is a pretty cold unfriendly guy as well. As soon as he gets your signature on a lease forget about any warmth after that. Courtney is also extremely rude. I hope management replaces all of them SOON! And yes, I too will change my review to 4-5 stars once they change office staff!

There isn't a direct stairwell to the garage, causing traffic issues with the elevators (only 2). Though the staff is fantastic and extremely helpful on many issues, the location itself has a tendency to attract a lot of party people (not necessarily a bad thing) and can be quite rowdy on the weekends. Not to mention that the pleasant beachfront view and accessibility leads to inclement weather on occasion(at least for California). I'd say, for the amount of money they request, you could find a much better location nearby.
Sahar was pleasant when we first went in to arrange a viewing. After she took our deposit she was very eager to rent the apartment to us. We took the place and wishing 2 weeks we were treated like 3rd rate citizens. Not only did we have issues with brown water coming out of the faucets, but the noise from the neighbors upstairs. This building is filled with noisy college kids despite what the leasing office might say. We had to complain about the loss noise/parties till 3am and they did nothing .... Filthy hallways with animal feces Non working laundry Snotty valet I regret this decision. They also stole our packages

The Best Apartment I've ever stayed at when I visited California for a month. Would sincerely be the best thing ever to live there for life or even visit again! staff and everything were super friendly and amazing
My apartment is really great, my favorite thing is the valet parking below my building. You have to call ahead but it is still nice. The washer/dryer is on site but not in the unit so that's one down side, but at least it is in the building. The building as a nice gym but could use some updating. There is a front desk attendant at night so that is nice to know that nothing bad will happen and if something does it will be taken care of. The apartments here are only offered in 1 bedroom or studio. I have a studio and its pretty nice, just the kitchen needs a little updating. Overall the biggest upside is the LOCATION it is right in the middle of Santa Monica and you can walk any where. The overall down side is that my apartment is a studio less than 500 square feet, and it is $2400/month, but it includes parking, water, and garbage.
