Property Ratings at Pacific Village
I've been here since Sept 2018. It was really great when I moved in and management was great. Since then, it's been meh. Our neighbors 1st night here, car was stolen. We've had loud neighbors and people that don't live here parking and sleeping in vehicles. We've made multiple complaints about neighbors and nothing has been done. They've been too busy raising the cost in the laundry rooms and updating the gym to pay attention to their tenants. I've had my bathtub rusting out and they come in and paint over it instead of actually fixing it. We've asked to move into a downstairs unit (due to medical issues) and then management is replaced and nothing comes of it. When my brand new carpet was put in, it started bubbling. Had the guys come fix it, the bubbles came back. We can't afford to move or we would. I don't recommend moving here unless you're okay with the issues we've had.
When we moved in about 2 years ago right before the pandemic started this was the only apartment complex that we could afford. We were told by the old management that our apartment was being remodeled. Nothing in it was remodeled. But under the new management some things are getting done. We are okay living here. Maintenance and management are very nice and seem to care unlike the old crew. They are doing some improvements outside and some in our place.
Lived here 18 months now and I'm satisfied with the complex. I live in an apartment that hasn't been upgraded and I'm good with that. The only difference I can see is laminate floors throughout and white cabinets instead of brown. I gave it four stars because maintenance could improve. Not all that quick to respond to requests. I've reported that my deck is becoming a safety hazard twice and haven't had a response yet. Rent is too high, but rent is too high everywhere. Otherwise, it's a decent place to live.
My boyfriend and I have lived here a year and have never had any issues. They're always prompt with service calls and looks like they're making a lot of positive changes to the parking lot and sidewalks. Will be renewing soon!
I've lived in Pacific Village Apartments for going on 6 years in both a 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom unit at different points. When I first moved in the apartments were under different ownership and they were in pretty shabby condition - there weren't really any amenities besides the pool and laundry facility but both were always down for some sort of maintenance. The new owners have put a lot of work in improving the laundry facilities, adding a gym/work-out facility, keeping the pool maintained, improving landscaping, and generally making the place feel more like home. Also, when we down-sized into our 1-bedroom unit the interior was remodeled under the new management and the finished product was much more modern & attractive than the old units had been. Ours had brand new appliances and easy to clean laminate wood flooring through the majority of the apartment.
When I first moved in I would have gave 1 star BUT since then its gotten better, they’ve updated a lot of units that look amazing, (I live in a non remodeled unit (still exceptional though) they’ve paved the road nice and smooth, they keep up on the landscaping, they accept large dogs any breed. Cheap laundry on site there’s a pool/hot tub and gym although the gym could use some work/cleaning it’s still exceptional. They got rid of the weirdo maintenance/front desk people that were here when I first moved in and management has improved. Work order response has improved with the new clean cut maintenance workers but still a little hesitant. They have grass fields with wood tables and a play ground and they provide bags to clean up after your dogs. They also have a wood chipped dog space for off leash fun. All in all it’s improved since when I first moved in and I’m hoping they keep it up.
This place is incredibly overpriced, it is a place for meth and heroin dealing. All my neighbors are unhappy and want to move. Management changes several times a year with many managers stealing money and saying you didnt pay. The only good manager was a woman named Patty. If looking I advise you to pass on this dump and go elsewhere. I am amazed this place is allowed to still rent to people. its awful and WAY over priced.

I have lived here for over 2 years. This is an older complex so I understand some things are a bit dated. That's ok, the location is great and the rent is lower than a lot of apartments in the area. However, one thing I cannot stand is the lease office personnel. Every time they post notes on people's doors, the notes are extremely unfriendly and borderline threatening. When they repaved the parking lot, the note could have said "please do not park in these areas on these days etc" instead of "any vehicles found in these areas on these days WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE" (their capslock, not mine). The note same note went on to say that if everybody doesn't start cleaning up after their dogs, "WE WILL BE ENFORCING A $75 A MONTH PET RENT ON EVERYBODY". Seriously? I always clean up after my 8 lb dog, why are you threatening me? Also, every time I call them with any questions or maintenance concerns, they are incredibly unpleasant. I called and asked if they still have free wifi (they did until recently) and Tracey told me "we're not paying for everybody to have free internet" Geez, you could have just said "I'm sorry, no we don't offer that service anymore". It's like she thinks this place is a prison and she's the warden, instead of a cheerful community where nice people live and raise their families. On another note, the maintenance men are really nice and helpful, especially Scott and Danny, and the views around the property are beautiful, so 3 stars for those 2 reasons
The manager of this place has never followed through with a work order without it being a months long process avoid this place if you expect quality from your land lord.
I have lived in the apartments for a year I wish I looked more closely at things before moving in a few months into living in my apartment I wanted to open my windows and realized I didn’t have screens on any of them. Also there isn’t a fan in the bathroom so when taking a shower I have to open my windows or mold grows on every window and on the walls under the window. The flooring in my apartment isn’t cut right so there is a part where it bubbles up. I also pay more for my one bedroom then advertised. They are good apartments if you can’t find anything else.
I have lived here many years and it's not worth it as they raise the rent every year with no maintenance. I have a dishwasher reported in October not cleaning dishes and a leaking kitchen faucet ,it took over a month to fix leaking water under sink and they used my vacuum cleaner to soak up water and it's not a wet dry vac, dishwasher was replaced with used one and still doesn't work. Likely will have to write the owner of property or visit the owners son who lives on the property. In closing find a better place to live
lived here for 4 years out of necessity. It has beeen a non stop barrage of inattentive management and lousy neighbors. After the latest management company tact eviction notices on our door door months in a row claiming we were behind on rent, my wife and I have finally had enough. Lawn maintenance is also a joke I've had a shrub in front of my apartment grow to the point of completely blocking the entry way and I eventually had to take care of it myself. Only consider pacific Villegas if you have no other option.
Rent is outrageous, these are not luxury apartments! When I first moved in rent wasn't bad until they raised it when my lease was up and then raised it again after my lease was up again. Now I can't afford to live here so I'm looking for another place to live. My friend has a beautiful remodeled duplex she lives in that is way nicer and way bigger than here and her rent is a lot lower than mine. These apartments are so over priced it's not even funny and maintenance issues don't get tended to.
My experience here has been horrible! Like others have said the maintenance is awful, things usually don't get fixed but if they happen to finally come fix something it is not done properly. They won't stop raising the rent either, every time our lease is up and we go to sign a new one they have raised the rent. My bathroom hasn't been updated since the 70's, possibly longer. The mirror in the bathroom is falling apart. Under the mirror there is a tiny cabinet but it is supposed to have a door/ cover on it but it is torn off. When I moved in I was told they were going to update my mirror and get me a functioning medicine cabinet which hasn't happened. You can't trust the site managers either. The site managers will give you permission to do something but then if the owner comes in and doesn't like it, instead of the site managers taking responsibility for giving you permission they lie and throw you (the tenant)under the bus and you get a violation notice which goes into your file. So if you want a reference to move some place else they can use the violation against you. Sadly I'm honestly not exaggerating any of this. The laundry facilities are awful, the machines will break down and they rarely get fixed. Also if you decide to do laundry here you need to stay in the laundry room until your laundry is done because people steal other's laundry. Someone said there wasn't a tennis court but there is, however the net is broken and falling apart and the tennis court is covered in moss and mud puddles. The tennis court is a joke, no one ever uses because it's broken and run down. It's used as a play area for unsupervised children. There is a pool here as well but good luck trying to actually use the pool, it's very small and it's packed tight and not kept clean. Last summer I went to use the pool and kept getting other people's lost hair wrapped around my hands and feet because they don't vacuum or clean the pool enough and even though they have rules about the pool they don't get followed. There are always unsupervised children that take over the pool and hot tub. Moving in here was a big mistake, the rent won't stop going up and the only reason I haven't moved out yet is because I can't afford to. With the rent sky rocketing I don't have the extra money to pay new deposits else where so I'm stuck for the time being. Also the only "dumpster" here is ONE trash compactor for the whole entire complex that is very unconvinient if you don't live close to it.
Not a bad apartment but new management is driving up the rent. Plumbing is bad. They say there is a tennis court which is a lie. Fees that the last manager was letting everyone make payments on are now required to be paid within 4 days. I'm not happy with the new manager at all.
The apartment complex is conveniently located next to a park that you can not access from the apartment complex as well as a a basketball ball court in the complex but it lacks a hoop the management is nice but the maintenance is lacking with sub par work and slow to complete work orders the apartments that have been updated look amazing and are worth the price but sadly my apartment still has the carpet from the previous renters so it is almost 9 years old all and all they are trying to do the upgrades needed but I personally can't wait to be rid of the complex
I have lived here 8 plus years and love it for being a very quiet place to live. The only complaint I have is the maintenance department is very poor. Several times I have submitted a work request for something to get done and have been totally ignored or work delayed for months. For example I had a fridge that was a fire hazard and it took them a year to replace it, I now have a deck that is a safety hazard and still has not been fixed. Reported it 4 weeks ago.
Been living here on and off for 4 years rent keeps going up. They fixed nothing after the last tenants left. This place is a mess and they will NOT fix it.
They are over priced for what you get but what isn't these days. Its in a beautiful location close to shopping and bus transit. They allow pets and the grounds are beautiful and natural.
When we moved in, they didn't fix a single thing after the last tenants left. Funny thing is, I was best friends with the previous tenants!!! I saw this place inside and out for 2 whole years! The land lord didn't know that though! I asked her why the apartment looked so horrid, she said it wasn't, it was JUST refurbished! I looked at her and told her that I knew she was lying. SHE LOOKED AT ME AND ASKED IF I WANTED A PLACE TO LIVE OR NOT!! Oh my I almost had a cow!! Anyways, still living here in an apartment that the landlord refuses to fix. It's either stay here, or live on the street with my husband and two kids.
Very nice place to live close to restaurants and shopping. Living in a flat is great I have no up stairs or down stair neighbors. Very quite neighborhood. Pet friendly swimming pool is very nice landlord is very friendly
For a one bedroom apt, front room is big and kitchen is a bit small not much cabinet space .bed on the small side too. bathroom ok but needs more then one electric plug .
