Attach the word "unassuming" to a neighborhood and one's interest might waver, but for residents of Pinewood and Bel Air Village, the lack of outside attention is just fine. This quiet area of Omaha rarely makes the city event calendars or police crime reports, and its online presence is practically invisible. Folks do not move here for a flashy atmosphere, but for the quiet small-town vibe.
Neighborhood parks, corner bars, and chain shopping provide residents with a lifestyle balance of work and leisure. Downtown Omaha lies 13 minutes to the east, allowing fast transit to the city's hot spots while keeping Pinewood and Bel Air comfortably mild.

If you want a family friendly area this is the place to go. Love it a lot here. Caitlin and Garett are good office staff to have around.

Have endless things that need fixed inside my apartment. Not a single maintenance ticket gets taken care of. Leasing staff is rude and unhelpful. Building is about 60 years old and not a single thing has been updated. Don’t recommend. Breaking my lease early.

When you look at the apartment they are going to take care of this and this and this, then you come out and find they moved their management staff around which they do often an nobody knows about anything. Rusted light fixture in my bathroom was suppose to be replaced before I moved in yep it is still their after 7 months, the sliding door was to be fixed they came twice said it needs to be replaced (it falls of the track but when they tell you this it get swept under the rug. When looking at it I asked is it ok to have a small bbq on my patio yes no problem just move it 10 feet away from the building when using it, sure no problem 3 or 4 managers pass through no issue here comes one 7 months later its a problem and remove it or you will be booted. I was suppose to get a garage when I moved in oh no there are no garages available, Even if the apartment is cheap don't do it run like hell. The parking is horrible on the good nights and gets worse from there. What good is it if they are nice and nothing ever gets done?

Dear reviewer, thank you for taking the time to provide our community with feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and look forward to chatting with you personally to resolve any outstanding work orders. However, we cannot seem to find you in our system. Additionally, we want to emphasize that our community strictly adheres to all federal and local regulations. According to the Omaha Fire Code, grills are not permitted to be stored or used within 10 feet of any building. Please reach out to us directly at ResidentServicesNEMonarchInvestment.com with any further questions or concerns. Kindest regards.
Pros: Office staff and maintenence (except a lady named Kai, who was very rude every time I came to the office) were nice. Cons: Way too many. Very old buildings, uneven floors, low water pressure, an additional “pest charge” even though they only sprayed for bugs twice, very old piping. I was also never alerted when a maintenance request was put in for me, leading to a lot of confusion. When I moved in, there were red marks on the new carpet they had just put in, the walls were marked, and the unit was incredibly dirty. There was not a fire extinguisher which, despite me mentioning there wasn’t one, I was never given one. Neighbors are nice but they are in very close proximity so don’t expect much quiet. There is a hospital nearby so you will hear ambulances at least twice a day. Also there were no lights in the living room nor the bedroom. And then on top of all this, they have the audacity to have only one washing machine and dryer set for the whole building that cost $2.00 per use. Absolutely outrageous. Seriously, take my advice and look somewhere else. There are way nicer places in the area for the same price. If you don’t, at least make sure you tour the place even if they say that there isn’t an available unit.

I wish I had looked at reviews better prior to moving in. All of the one-star reviews are accurate from my perspective. I've only lived here 2.5 months and I'm considering a buyout. I've had water leaks in my guest bedroom twice in that time. After hours maintenance was great on the first one, And they were supposed to assess the damage and check for mold and that remains to be seen. Maintenance is horribly unresponsive and uncommunicative about what they've done And often maintenance tickets get closed out without any apparent work being done and I have to open a new ticket. I've been in constant contact with the property manager And it hasn't made much difference. I couldn't even see the unit I was getting until 2 days before I was supposed to move in (that should have been a red flag right there). I've had tons of maintenance issues for things that should have been fixed prior to moving in if they had done there due diligence. Don't move here.

This place is not only filthy, but ran by crooks. There were damages done to this apartment prior to us moving us (ex. broken closet doors, mold on the bathroom floor etc.) we had written it down on our move in sheet and no one fixed it. Even after many calls throughout the course of 3 years. Then when we moved out they CHARGED US for the damaged that was there before we moved in! HUNDREDS of dollars to be paid in 30 days in the middle of a global pandemic - for something that was their duty to take care of.

This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The maintenance requests take forever to go through and the staff does not work with you at all. We have had noise complaints called on us multiple times and the apartment complex refuses to help us resolve the problem because we don't know how we could be being loud when we go to bed at 10 every night. At the end of the day this place has a useless staff and is not worth your money, if you can go somewhere else even if it's slightly pricier. Did I mention the cops have had to come twice because of car break-ins?

First off I lived here for a year and had a terrible experience. My roommate had water spilled all over her laptop when they came to fix her sink. My towels that I used for my showers, were used to wipe up dirty toilet and shower water off of my floor bc they were too cheap to fix a leak I was having. My roommate went with out a screen in her window for 2 month because “they were building her a new one.” And the icing in the cake!!!! WE HAVE BEEN OUT OF THIS APT FOR A MONTH AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR $700 safety deposit back!!!! Don’t let there pricing in this app foul you. This place is an absolute job!!! I WANT MY MONEY
This apartment complex is grossly overpriced and poorly staffed. I've lived here for 2 years and have seen approx. 6 managers in that time. Never open when they say they are supposed to be and their idea of "communicating" to residents is a sign on the clubhouse door. Constantly smells of weed, smoke, and who knows what else. I've fallen numerous times on the ice in the winter, as their idea of 'salting' the lot and sidewalks is just tossing a handful here and there. Water damage and poor plumbing (including water that randomly gets scalding). I never write reviews, but this has been a horrible experience. I could go on and on but frankly, I don't have the energy to type everything out. Don't even bother giving these apartments a second glance. Far better apartments are available for the same price elsewhere.
I think 1 star is generous. They are decent apartments but everything is extremely outdated, no clock or timer on the oven, and things of that nature. They do not respond to tenants in a decent manner. Over a week unless it benefits them in one way or another. Also they do not do anything for complaints, ask you to record sound with your phone instead of doing their job. Just dont. It's not worth it at all, just too much hassle for the cost. Plus we were lied to as to what they all offered too
I was told that I could move in June 9 of 2018 when I went into the apartment it smelled like dog and dog urine. The management removed the carpet but there is tape that looks like hardwood floors. The air does not work and my apartment has roaches. It is roomy and spacious but I’m not used to living with roaches. I am so unhappy with this apartment complex. I will tell anyone that I can so that they don’t have to go thru what I am going thru.
This place is by far the most frustrating place I have ever lived. The staff isn't helpful, the property is poorly maintained, and the quality of residents has gone down significantly since I moved in two years ago. There is trash, dog poop, and broken glass everywhere and the staff does nothing about it. Do t live here, it's not worth the ridiculous price they want for these apartments.
I've gone from a one star review, to a four star review, back to a one star. Since I've lived here (Jan. 2015) to now (Feb 2017) this place changed management. It was supposed to get better, but nope, it hasn't. They've gone through 3 property managers since I've been here, and 3 head maintenance techs. I don't know the details of why they've left, but it should say something to have turnover that high in management positions, in only 2 years. They barely keep up with cleaning and repair, and consistent turnover means zero rapport between staff and tenants. It also means that tenant problems go unanswered when it relates to long-term problems. I've reported my neighbors for issues, and once the management office requested that I give them a full statement on everything, as upper management (Monarch) was going to begin the eviction process. Then the property manager changed, and now it seems those problems have been forgotten. These neighbors throw trash out their windows into the lawn, smoke weed (and some other weird smelling substance) in their bathroom with the fan on so it blows into my apartment, and have broken the front security door so their friends can get in without keys. It's a mediocre (at best) living space. Community amenities are coats of paint on outhouses, they're not supervised, rundown, and measly. Rent is high for what you get - essentially the best part about living here is the pet policy, which is abused by some tenants who hide their fourth and fifth pets (seriously my neighbors have 4 dogs and two birds, and the dogs are fighting as I type this). Look elsewhere. I tried to empathize with the management because I used to work in residency environments. I understood what they inherited and can relate with trying to meet the high expectations of bad tenants. They've had their chance, and it's past. This is poor performance plain and simple. That first review down there? That's an employee. Same review from their own website.

Nice staff, clean grounds, well maintained. Keyed entry, spacious 2 bedroom, recently repainted, pets allowed. Right off two main streets in Omaha. Very close to a bakers, Burlington coat factory, dollar tree, restaurants, and the mall.
